I always can’t understand how people make such good, perfect project like this and mostly how they have the patience to do this. It just blows my mind!
The 4th funnel was only for decoration/ventilation on the ship - this funnel wasn't smoking any fumes at all. Also when the ship started its final plunge, funnels 1 and 2 were fallen off at the moment they touched the water (due to the pressure of the water and snapping lines) also the engines were on full stop and only the 3rd funnel had smoke by the time of the plunge. I know you can't undo the 1st and 2nd funnels off of the ship but the smoke wasn't there (and should be easy to correct). By the way, you did a nice job, love the piece you made.
I believe it wasnt't make like this by mistake, it is rather just an artistic vision than anything claiming to be historically accurate. Btw AMAZING job! I'd love to see more ships sinking in resin via your art. Is it available to purchase?
In order to make up for the shortcomings of this work, I am about to split the Titanic into two parts, please subscribe to my channel and pay attention to new works. Thank you~😋
One mistake was that the 4th funnel wasn't in use because it didn't match the boiler room and it was just a decoration to make the ship look nice. So the 4th funnel doesn't come out of smoke.
Again, you have an amazing talent in your vision and technique. I am in awe. Thank you for showing us the steps you made in creating this beautiful, yet tragic, depiction of her.
Very cool, I love how you can see just how much of the ship was hanging there. Lots of inaccuracies though, some of which would have saved you time (seas were flat; iceberg was no longer next to ship, heavy smoke was no longer coming out of funnels).
Here's an inaccuracy, the funnels didn't have lights inside them lol. The 4th funnel didn't exhaust smoke from the boiler rooms either. But a model at this scale you really can't be a stickler for accuracy anyway
@@jonasseixas4333 the Titanic had 4 funnels but only 3 were operational the 4th was just there for show In this model they put smoke coming out of all 4 which is incorrect as only 3 were operational
It would have been amazing to see the break in the ship as it would have already broken in two by the stage of the sinking you're depicting, otherwise though this is amazing! Bravo 👏 👏
This is just fantastic, can you list the products you use from the resin to the polish for those of us that would like to try this and know what to look for?
Brother, VERY nice job....However get yourself a version of the model that already has the portals open so you don't have to drill (risking uneven window sizes). Academy has one for $40 like that. I put my own light kit into it, and I'm very happy with the results. It was a LED light strip from Amazon that I simply cut down to the length I needed, and I cut through the lower deck pieces, as you did, to allow that light to rise up. I paint the insides of the white wall pieces, as well as the undersides of the deck pieces, black, as to make the light more realistic looking coming out from the windows in the upper decks. Mine took me about 3 months to complete (without a resin diorama), as I was very focused on a good paint job for all the small pieces. Painting fine black trim around the upper deck windows to enough of my energy. haha
What resin are you using for your deep pour? I'm about ready to make a similar diorama, but am uncertain which epoxy/resin to use for 5"-6" deep pour. Thanks, and fantastic job.
Disagree. I feel like as air was being displaced by water in the ship, smoky air from the boiler rooms could've been forced through ventilation through the fourth stack. It did have ventilation connections to parts of the ship, the engine rooms, the first class smoking lounge, etc, plus the boilers had been extinguished so there would have been a ton of excess steam to release, which the 4th stack was equipped to do.
Its a fantastic art! You simply make wonders from the materials we get easily from around us. This is a master piece but would have been more realistic if there were no smoke coming out of the boilers, as at this stage the whole engine room was flooded with sea water and there was no chance of smoke coming out!
WOW I'm gonna watch more of your work... I would love to see you do some sort of 410 sprint car scene, or even something with nascar I would totally sell.
Cool, but only 3 of the funnels were actually working. the fourth was fake and only put on for aesthetics. :) Really good job! how many hours does it take?
There is some accuracy problems with this diorama, such as: The titanic's engine turned off minutes after hitting the iceberg, so it wasnt anywhere near the iceberg it hit when it sank. The 4th funnel is venting steam. The 4th funnel only Carrie's smoke from fireplaces and just overall ventilation to the titanic, not the boilers steam. None of the funnels are collapsed underneath the water. The titanic's position of height when only the 2 funnels are above water. All the funnels are still working, and this is taking place in the Final plunge. The titanic [when sinking] had a list on port, not starboard.
The diorama looks gorgeous. The iceberg is there for dramatisation & visual impact, and it looks great. Also, the Titanic corrected its list when the boat deck started being flooded. I agree with what you are saying on the other points, however, for visual looks and dramatisation, it is more appropriate that it has all funnels & the steam exiting the funnels only emphasizes the fact that everything happened so fast and violent, that the greatest thing humans had built was gone/destroyed in less than 3 hours, and it took them 3 years to make it. Never underestimate the power of God.
Nice but when she sank her funnels weren’t steaming and the forth funnel didn’t produce that much smoke as it was for decoration and connected to the 1st class smoking room and acted as a vent for the kitchen
There are definitely some inaccuracies: listing the wrong way, funnels 1&2 had collapsed at this point, there was no smoke , etc. But guys….I would buy this despite all that. It’s a GORGEOUS piece of art!!!
The fourth funnel shouldn’t have that much smoke coming out of it as it was just for aesthetics and for the smoking room which during the sinking wouldn’t have any smoke also the first funnel had already fallen off before where it should have been went under
