It's scary to imagine how it took nearly 3 hours for Titanic to sink but only 5-10 minutes to hit the ocean floor

You even got the list right! How it didn’t break, and go under (stern) straight! Yet, it keeled over and just about went vertical and went under. Such a great depiction, a beautiful ship, and a story that will never be forgotten. If I have the funds, im gonna create a company called ‘Living History And Evolution’

To think that such a tragedy actually happened is bone chilling. That people actually witnessed a ship that size just snap in two and descend into the ocean below. It’s a scary thought.
What's scariest is they didn't see it happen at all. It was pitch black outside. All they could hear was the rumble if it sinking.
@@M16Joe Couldn't agree more. One minute the screams the next total silence. Took the rescue boat nearly 3 hours to reach the survivors. Unbelievably scary.
@@M16Joe its pretty nightmarish to think about being stuck freezing in pitch black atlantic air, listening to hundreds and hundreds of people screaming in sheer terror and hearing the deafening roaring of the ship ripping itself apart
Another interesting fact is the actual break up wasn't like the movie. It was actually very subtle and people could hardly tell the ship split hence why so many surviors believed the ship sank in one piece. It wasn't until Ballards discovery of the wreck in 85 did we know the ship split.
@@takumi-san116 the survivors seen the ship break in half. People argued with them that it sank in one piece. And it did happen like in the movie, according to officer lightollers account
the fact that he actually split it where it was supposed to makes this masterpiece that more accurate to the actual sinking

@•アノマロカリス• (Anomalocaris) well not exactly, there’s many theory’s about the splitting so until “time machines” are invented nobody knows how she split.
He made one actuate to the movie. In real life it split at the base of the 3rd funnel/smoke stack

People have different opinions. Me personally, I like to think it snapped between the 3rd and 4th funnel.
Oh yeah btw to me the V-break makes no sense.

The model you used as the base looks really good, exactly what I want, just a simple model you don't have to paint or glue. Definitely gonna buy it!
The material of the base is modified from the frame of the oil painting
I was thinking the same thing. Surprising amount of detail, molded in all the basic colors, neat sandwich construction that sees deckhouses come up through the decking. Eye catching brass parts. Really well done.
The finished resin piece is mindblowing.

maybe, if you ever want to make another one: the break really did happen infront the third funnel. and additionally two big parts of the ships upper hull broke away, aka tower 3&4. but nonetheless this looks so stunnig beautifull made 👍

Wow you're good. You can almost see it in motion. With it lit up at the end, its beautiful but haunting at the samw time.
A absolutely amazing model the only thing I think is wrong is the breakup happened at the area between the compass platform and the where the 3rd funnel is and at a slightly lower angle but the way you caught the bow plunging with the mast snapping back is perfect what a brilliant model.

Just so you know he knew that it wasn’t accurate to modern titanic sinking theories, he said he’s doing the 1997 breakup, which broke between third and fourth funnels
@@optimusfan1007 I did it according to the 1997 movie and didn't expect to be misled by Cameron.🤣
@@samuel-studio But a survey of the wreck of the Titanic found that the second funnel's boiler was in the stern and this theory is 2012 theory (break in 2 - 3 funnel = 2012 theory and break in 3 - 4 funnel = 1995 theory).

This is really cool. I've seen models of the wreck before, but never one that chose to do this moment in time, and I think you did a great job.
The only thing I think you slightly overdid was the water/wave effects. The sea was as flat as a mirror that night, part of the reason they only saw the iceberg so late, there were no waves breaking at the base. (And a whole host of other reasons.) Also, the Titanic was huge, even by modern standards. So even the water that would have been tossed about by the stern finally going under still wouldn't have reached that high or made waves that big when adjusting for the 1/1000th scale.
Still, not enough to detract from the fact that I think this model is awesome.
