Ok so... I know you talk about strict parents a lot on your channel so I thought you would be able to give me pretty good advice. So I have Asian, religious parents who are very strict in both religion and protectiveness. I am 17 and basically for most of my life, I've been pretty good and followed the rules because I love my parents and would never want to disappoint them. This means good grades, following the religious rules and never lying about where I'm going or anything like that. I just want to emphasis here that I do believe in my religion and I think it is important but some rules are just hard for me to follow. One of the main ones is that I'm not allowed to listen to music and even though I didn't like that rule, I have followed it for most of my life because of them but i personally don't feel it is that important. Then around 2 years ago, I came across some Taylor swift clips and I was genuinely enchanted (pun intended) and within a few weeks I was a full blown, obsessive Swiftie. I now have an extreme dilemma of listening to music behind my parents backs through annoying methods like incognito and private browsers. I also have to buy merch that isn't too obvious. The worst thing is that I had no way of going to the Eras tour which i am DISTRAUGHT about. Also, music is my main thing but I also have a friend who has lots of parties but I always have to refuse because it is too risky. I once went to one of her parties, masking it as a sleepover but I felt really overwhelmingly guilty the entire time and wasn't able to enjoy myself. I just feel so lost and trapped because no one else understands how I feel and I'm in the middle of the situation and unable to fully commit to a side of either full rebellion or full obedience, making me feel bad either way. I also want to note that I can't tell my parents this cuz they would be sooooooooooooo disappointed in me if they found out as they are really religious and think I am a really good girl. What should I do?

Hi Sahar, for your next Sahar’s advive video I would really appreciate if you could help me with my situation: so me and my best friend started liking the same guy at the same time. As I wanted to tell her about it she was faster so she told me first and I didn’t say anything about it. hey Sahar!! first of all, I love you so, so much!! you are such a big inspiration and have changed my life in an amazing way!! so, I'm a high-school student, and I have had a LOT of crushes on guys, but not all of them were as important. there have been, like three or four massive crushes, that I would've thought would be my future husband or smth. the first one, I developed while I was still in middle school, and I still kind of like him today. well, I told my friend that I liked him, and she got his number and started talking to him constantly. the boy was giving me mixed signals, so I wasn't sure, but then she told me that he called her hot and said he wanted to date her. Okay hi Sahar I love your channel so much and I need some advice. So there was this girl who was kinda in my friend group but kinda not. Let’s call her Sarah. So Sarah kept having a bunch of problems with people in my friend group (but mainly one friend). Like seriously overreacting to the tiniest things. Being really really rude to us and doing things to like deliberately hurt my friend. She also would randomly distance herself from us all the time just so we would go back to her and pay attention to her. Then one of my friends (let’s call her Marie) had enough and told her she didn’t really want to be friends with her anymore and two other friends of mine agreed. And now Marie keeps trying to deliberately exclude Sarah from everything we do. Like avoiding her when we see her at school, moving seats in class, bringing up plans when she’s around and yesterday we were hanging out and she was like “let’s post one selfie so Sarah can see”. And I know that this girl did some bad stuff but it was the kinda thing I thought we could figure out. I just feel really bad and guilty about leaving her out even though when she is there she causes problems. I have brought this up to Marie but she just tells me “she can’t do what she does and think she’ll still have friends”. So please any advice because I have no idea what to do.
I HAVE THE SAME SITUATION. Look so if you don’t get along with someone it’s ok u don’t have to be their bestie but there is no need for being rude. I think you should talk to your friends about it and if they don’t wanna change then that’s their choice. Just make sure you are always kind towards Sarah unless she is like mean or something but also don’t feel forced to include her because she is getting left out. If you like her go ahead and be her friend!!! But if you know she is trouble I suggest just being kind to her but not a SOLID STRONG FRIENDSHIP unless Ofc that’s what u want

✨ Story Time ✨ (I’m in college) Ok so I dated this guy for like 7 months and one of my friends in particular seemed to act differently around him. I thought it was odd but brushed it off cause I trusted him. We ended things cause we realized we wanted different things from life and each other in general. Then 1 month later my friend matched with him on a dating app. It was weird at first cause she’d invite him to our friend group’s birthday and holiday parties cause that’s what I did after seeing him for 3 months (altho she basically brought him right away since she already “knew he’d get along with everyone”). So just wondering… what are your thoughts? Like technically I was the one that ended things. So do I really have a right to be upset? But honestly what upset me more was that she chose to go on a date with him on my bday instead of coming to the party my other friends had planned. A few months ago my best friend embarrassed me infront of several classes from my new school and teachers. That weekend I was supposed to hang out with her but I never did since I blocked her. First of all I have moved to a new country far from my home so I don't always understand what these boys were saying but I do speak spanish it's more the teen slang or something like that anyway there are these two boys one is in my grade in my school who pretty much flirts with a few of girls in our grade including me so me and my friends think that he doesn't really like me but because I don't know for what reason I started to like him, I try to stop liking him but then I see that he starts flirting with another girl and I think I get a bit jealous. And then when I am sure he doesn't like me I am in a group project with him and after the group project is over and almost everybody has left he starts telling me over and over like 100 time that he truly likes me and then he asks me if I like him but I didn't know what to answer so I said maybe because it didn't really feel right to say yes because I didn't know if he is really telling the truth. I said maybe not only because I wasn't if he really likes me but also because there the second guy that lives in the same building estate as me . He has a dog and I also have a dog one time when I as taking my dog out and he was taking his dog out that's how we met, but that first time we haven’t told we just said hi to eachother but then a few days after we met again he came up to me and started talking to me. Then he let his dog out and our dogs played for hours while we were talking, I have to say that it was really nice talking to him , all of my guy friends that I have were always so mean or annoying and this guy isn't like that he's nice, kind, funny, makes sure I'm okay like one time my eye started to really hurt and he helped me until I was fine. The night after we talked for hours he texted if we can be friends , I said yes. He also asked for my instagram the first time we talked. We met up often . I like him , I'm just not sure he like's me back even that everytime we see eachother I feel like there's a connection between us. One time I also catched him starring at me. hey sahar, i’m going through smt really bad with friend drama rn and idk what to do, here it is:
so we have this one girl, let’s call her G. so, at first, i was friends with G. but then, all she would talk about was people’s looks and how ugly they are, and their bodies especially. so, i don’t want to be friends with a person like that. so i wasn’t friends with her for a couple months. but then, people never saw that side of her so they hated me for not being friends with her. so i became friends again, only because everyone told me to. but G would fat shame, let’s call her S every day, to her face and behind her back. and i would ‘side’ with G not about the fat shaming, but just about not liking S because i didn’t want people to be mad at me for not liking G. Ok so basically then we all weren’t friends with G anymore bc we actually stood up for ourselves and S, and weren’t friends with G at all. (btw G had a sidekick named D). Ok, so my best friend lets call her B, was the person that i trusted. she was my person that i talked to about everything. so about a week ago, B started sitting with G. we were like, okay i mean that’s a little weird because B hates G but whatever. Ok, so fast forward a week and B totally isn’t talking to me anymore. like completely ghosted. and on top of this, i hear her talking shit about me every single day at lunch from my other friends. so anyway, G, D, and B all made a powerpoint presentation of texts that i ‘said’ about S that weren’t true, and showed it to S. that was so messed up. and on top of all of that, B is going around telling everyone, like everyone that i am a manipulative liar who sucks at being a friend. so basically idk what to do now
2:30 i cut a friend off bc she was dating a guy 10 years older than her(she's 15) and even after i warned her she didn't listen so i just understood how my words don't matter to her so i cut her off. It's honestly disrespectful how she'd rather chose a man over our genuine friendship.

So me, my best friend and one other girl are a friend group (there is no duo in our trio it works really well when were together) the other girl isnt in our class but her best friend is. hey sahar, i love you so much and i enjoy watching your videos. so i have a problem with my friend, I had cut all of my friends off due to different reasons and i was alone for a long time then i started getting along with this girl and she is cool and we have a lot of fun, the problem is she is a lot smarter than me and she knows a lot about different stuff and i don't, i was okay with it but i think she is insecure and she uses different opportunities to point out that she is better than me and it hurts my feelings, should i cut her off and if i do i feel like i can't get get along with anyone since i've cut all of my friends either because they have been toxic to me or because they don't invest in the friendship as much as i do. what do you suggest i do

You gotta ket her learn. My ex use to nit like my friends and i let him keep me from hanging out eith them a lot. Hes gone and noe i would never do that to my friends over a dude again. But i have no friends or boyfriends so thats not sn issue. But i had to learn the hard way. Sheesh!
Idk why I always miss these question stories😭 idk if this will get to sahar rn but like I really need some advice. I introduced my girl bestfriend and my guy bestfriend and I didn't think they'd get so fucking close so quickly and she knew I used to like him and he still means a heck lot to me even now as a friend and I did let her know that due to their friendship I didn't wanna be replaced by either one of them or feel left out but they keep getting closer each day after I told them I wasn't okay with them being so damn close but I told them they could still talk and now she just wouldn't stop mentioning him in random convos and atp it just seems like she's trying to make me jealous by showing me how close they are. Idk what to do I don't wanna lose either of them
