In this tutorial, I'm going to show you how to apply a sugar sheet to a cake. For even more tips and tricks, as well as the Chocolate & Cherry Cake recipe, you can read my full blog post. There's also a coupon code in there, so be sure to check it out!

Thank you
I'm so happy it helped :D
As a paper crafter I have a tip for you:
When cutting the paper with a craft blade, use a metal ruler.
The reason for this is that a craft blade is sharp enough to cut into the edge of your plastic ruler and ruin the straight edge forever.
Thank you so much for this tip! It's genius :D

@@bakesandblunders hi I m from india cn v use dis sugar sheet on whipped cream
@@ushah04 I don't believe so. The moisture from the whipped cream would make the image bleed and it might also slide down. It would be best to use buttercream or fondant.
@@bakesandblunders bt d client doesn't want buttercream or fondant ppl here in India do t prefer buttercream on cakes or fondant she wants a whip cream cake
@@bakesandblunders thank you so much for your help n reply u r really sweet 😊🤗
Hy can we use this sugar sheet on chocolate
I'm not sure. If you spread a super thin layer of piping gel over the set ganache, it should work, but I've never tried. Just be careful. If you add too much piping gel, the design could be distorted or start running.
Which frosting u r putting on cake
Hi! In this video, I'm using easy buttercream. The recipe is in my blog post here - www.bakesandblunders.com/how-to-use-edible-sugar-sheets/. But I've also used American buttercream with these edible prints. You can see how I did that in another video - ua-cam.com/video/d9Z4tZMQuaA/v-deo.html. I also used a slightly different technique in that video.
Can I refrigerate this cake with sugarsheet?
I did refrigerate mine, but it's risky. Overall, this cake still came out fine after being in the fridge. The sugar sheet got a bit darker and wrinkled slightly in one or two places. If you absolutely must refrigerate but are worried, I would suggest placing a cardboard box over it (if you have the space). That should help absorb any extra moisture.
Is sugar sheet photo sheets and where do you get these
This sugar sheet is an edible image I received from Granary Kitchen. If you'd like to order from them, you can use my affiliate link for 10% - granarykitchen.co.uk?ref=7. I believe you can also buy edible images from sellers on Etsy, but I've never done that, so I can't speak to their quality.
Can it be done with whip cream?
I've never tried it, but I don't think so. The moisture from the whipped cream would probably cause the edible print to bleed. But you could always try a small piece on some whipped cream first to see how it holds up.
can we put the sheet after 1day?
You can add the sheet to the cake a day after the cake has been made, but if the frosting has crusted over, or if it isn't sticky, you'll need to add a tiny thin layer of piping gel to the cake so that the sheet will stick.
