In this episode Joel and Antonia answer the question “What is intuition?”
    IN THIS PODCAST YOU'LL FIND:
    - What is Intuition? Intuition is a pretty abstract word. It’s something many of us rely on for quick judgments and often life-altering decisions.
    - Intuition is a particular way that people learn information.
    -----------------------------------------------------
There are two ways in which people learn new information:
    1) Through their 5 senses.
    2) Intuition - not relying on those senses in order to understand and learn new information. Therefore, relying on advanced pattern recognition.
    -----------------------------------------------------
    - You can’t directly interact behind the curtain, but you can deduce what’s going on behind the curtain based on the pieces of information you get in front of the curtain.
    - Sensory people are looking to find something that’s reliable and can be verified.
    - Intuitives are not dependent on things that are reliable. Someone who’s using intuition to learn puts more emphasis on speed of information and depth of insight on information. They will sacrifice verifiability for speed and depth of insight.
    - Intuitives are more comfortable with speculation and so they’re willing to take risks. Eventually, they’re going to become more and more proficient with it.
    - When it comes to pattern recognition and speculation, intuitives are getting better of taking risks and accurate speculations.
    - Although sensors may have an intuitive piece on them, they don’t become efficient with it because they’re not comfortable with its nature and process.75% of the population in the US are sensory and only 25% are Intuitives.
    - Everyone is creative. We all have a creative element inside of us. Some of the most creative people use a sensory as a form of learning.
    - The greatest artists in the world are sensors. The big difference is that Intuitives have a tendency to create something the world has never seen because they’re looking for things that can only be imagined. Sensors on the other hand, when they’re creative, have a tendency to make something new that already has a sensory platform.
    - There’s no argument that both are valid ways of learning.
    - Some people tend to hide their being intuitive. The Intuitives who keep going are so powerful that they end up being the people who are most celebrated.
    - If you are of an intuitive learning style, the first step is to accept it. The second step is understanding its potential and doing what you can to hone it.
    - Take courage, give yourself permission and you’re going to see a more different world.

My biggest thing holding me back from sharing my insights is credibility because it's like we live in a world of where evidence and research is highly regarded. So it's difficult when you have insights and people question you and all you can say is 'I just know'.

      Albert here...
I've had to insulate myself, over the years. Had to limit how much I could divulge about my feelings, and understanding. Judging circumstances is tricky, depending on who is involved....hence, the "introversion"...(comfort levels)...
The older I get...the more comfortable I am with INFJ.

Heyyy, you are not alone. I have learnt that this is something we can only selfishly use for ourselves to protect us from what's coming ahead so that whatever our gut feelings tell us to not to do and/or to do will get us off the troubles. However, clarity is our mentality very important in order to help the intuition to work. I just know that this is the very simple example of what intuition is "when you start to feel all weird facing a situation and your gut feelings tell to you to run, you run".

INFJ here. I remember when I was learning to count in kindergarten and I remember thinking 1-2-3-4-5 and saying to myself what about the time it takes to get from 4 to 5. Being shy I never said anything. I also remember the teacher telling me not to worry about the hand other people used to use the scissors, and I was "ok." Like hey your different don't pay them no mind. I never made a big deal about being left handed but when every teacher, and as I got older co-workers, etc, "oh your are a lefty?!" I'm like yeah **eye roll**

ENFJ-A here, my intuition is a knowing I can’t often explain… I think it’s like picking up on the collective unconscious…(?). I just often know what I know and given the chance, can often explain how I know. I think highly sensitive people are often intuitive. I have high pattern recognition and often have difficulty explaining this to others. I know if it’s a unique gift. I listen to it as it’s helped me immensely and others too! It is a trip and I’m grateful to have this as it feels like a gift. BTW, I counseled with Naomi Quink in my earlier years, she is Golden! Love you guys, too! ❤️. My mom used to call me a "brain" when I was about 3. I told my parents to "shut up" when they were arguing one day when I was about 7. It was my way of expressing fear and not knowing how to deal with it. They were divorced shortly after that. I am an INFJ

Ni function makes you less intrusive. If you keep your intuition to your self. My Ni was so accurate that a sensor hacked my laptop ,mobiles , everything & made my intuition public . Especially to those who had the power to help me professionally. I realized that too with out knowing anything about how it was done.

Hi, you guys took the words out of my mouth. I experience all od these circumstances.
I'm 40. I used to get frustrated that people can't see my value. It feels weird for me to say that, because I was raised in a family that taught me humility,my Mother(God Bless Her), would never allow me to be immoral. Do the job right, the first time, reputation is everything, she's a heavy sensory user. Intuition is the tip of the spear in piercing through deceptive beliefs that Trans form our reality. Love yall!

hahaha That Passport paperwork story is a metaphor for my life experience. I did project management for a while and when I was new, my boss told me that I had to fill out this form for every project that conveyed x,y,and z information and I couldn't even read it. Like I was gathering and organizing the same information in my way, but seriously filling out these forms made my skin crawl. I would try to read it and my brain would intentionally stop focusing just to mess with me.

I know this video is an older one, but I noticed in multiple videos that it seems you guys wanna respond to people who come to this podcast and get offended by the typology definition of intuition, I would suggest not worry about it because the people you are more likely to attract as long term listeners are people who already know the topic and click because of that. It's an uphill battle trying to recruit the people completely out of touch with what's going on here. It does feel like for me that the momentum is lost when you leave the 99 for the 1. But I can understand the desire to do so, not knocking it, just wanna share what I'm kinda feeling after hearing some of the chosen questions to respond to in the intuition podcasts are of that attempt. I really enjoyed the questions narrated btw! Very much a conversation like conveyance, as you are trying to achieve, feels real! Thanks for all this amazing work! The development in the show is so cool to see!

Here is an example I won’t mention the Company. I brought to my boss’ attention years ago that a company I cleared Title for that they were forging signatures. This was a huge company. Of course I was very low on the totem pole. I was completely blown off. It turned out to be the second largest law suit in the United States. This Company had to pay it’s clients bc of the fact they were forging signatures on Legal documents. My boss asked me how I knew they were doing that. Like you said, I just saw patterns nobody else noticed. I tried to catch it early but being so low in the chain of command, I was not taken seriously. By the time they got caught too many people lost so much.

Part of it may result from seeing things as they are, for what they are, without being taken in by a misguided sense of respect for authority, or for the authority which comes with office, or position. Usually, people in authority can pick up on individuals who are likely to see through them, and it makes them highly uncomfortable, for obvious reasons.

Agreed that sensory people struggle w speculation- my husband gets very triggered this, makes him very anxious, sends him into flat out rejection and contempt for both the Intuitives and feelers-very disaffirming and disheartening for me.

I find myself usually relating to INTJ stuff and got INTJ in two different tests. On the one hand, I relate with pattern recognition and constantly guessing what's behind the curtain. However, I care very much about empiricism and verifying stuff. I can and do take leaps of ' I think this macropattern is happening, although it's hard to prove if provable at all'. However, I get this pattern from countless of scientific studies that I've been consuming in years prior, or running logical arguments in my head for ages.

I think "intuition" is behind most all new innovative creative acts, even for sensory dominant types. It's just that it will be a more unconscious event. I can beat stuff to death with my SeTi, but inspiration/innovation wells up instantly, and usually looks right, feels right, is right.

I'm an INJF. I didn't listen to the video that much. It seemed to be a little fluffy. Here are some concise major insights: mothers and a crying child, is that intuition? Yes and no. Male nurses and people in that field also develop their SENSES to notice the different types of crying of a baby: does it need food or to be changed etc. Spirits can influence ESP with women who care for babies and those women grow used to it, but if it was a man and the only care taker then they would develop that too. I sense spirits good and bad. I cast out bad spirits in the name of Jesus. One knocked over a huge wooden speaker, another opened a door and knocked my books on the floor, another wrestled with me, it grabbed my tongue as well so it was hard to speak. The good one healed my back by popping vertebrae back into place. I felt a hand and peace and love and it corrected a back ache. When I get intuition to not do something I call it my angry intuition. A clear cut example of this is that I was directed where to buy a bus pass. I made a prayer for God to help me to find the place with the shortest route because of my bad back and the back pack on top of it. So as the directions said make a right I made a right and then it said to make a left but as soon as I did so I felt my angry intuition. Out of now where I would feel angry at myself and others and guilty like I'm doing something wrong. I said to myself "Hey I recognize this, it's my angry intuition". "This must be the wrong way". And i teeter tottered with it by going back and forth. As I stopped going left I felt fine. As I turned back towards left I felt bad and angry right away. So I just went straight instead and there was my place just up ahead not too far. My angry intuition is never wrong. If I don't do what it says then I suffer a loss. I can sense bad spirits at bars. I see too many emotions to read and I see people not being natural and I see people talking chaotic and speaking in tones implying violence and in being violent. So I don't go to bars that much. Intuition in which jobs to take or even stuff to buy: I do feel feelings but usually not strong enough to make a choice either way. When that happens I may freeze up and if I recognize that I'm freezing up then I just grab what I want then leave. I figure that since I can't determine what is wrong then u will just choose any item. What I think is going on is that I should just live and not try to get revelation for every trivial thing in my life.

Well, I hate to say this, but the very fact that you didn't and found it "fluffy" hints a lot at how you're an Ni user. That is introverted intuition. You felt like the talk lacked certain depth, or didn't seem to get to a point, I'm guessing? Maybe the going off on tangent stories made you feel like rolling your eyes? That may be because your preferred learning style is opposite to that of the ones that created this podcast. They are both Ne users. That means they like to bounce off a lot of information, and aren't as concerned with getting to a definite point as much as you may be. The way you describe your beliefs and way of thinking strongly points that way too. Might I suggest you read up about it instead, if you feel like? Find a source that you deem to be insightful enough. I could suggest a few, but again, it's a rather subjective thing to say what is insightful. Think of it as a way to understand yourself better, although you already might know quite a lot. It'll be like delving deeper into your own self, and who knows - you might come across something you've never seen before....
INFP here btw. Sorry it got a little ranty

what? hang on a second here with the tire comparison reference. that is not a sensory caused standardization. that is the simple physics of a round rotating object. it would be completely absurd and cost ineffective to design a tire that only works for one specific vehicle and it would be a rotation harmonic balancing nightmare. One of a kind anything is a risky way to think. The engineers of GM found this out the hard way with their 350 ton mining truck they only ever built one of. it blew a turbo charger and the cost of replacement of the part was more than the cost to replace the entire truck so it sits as a tourist attraction in sparwood BC. I am a completely introverted intuitive thinking person but because I have so much real world experience of seeing shit break and get fucked up I now can design entire systems in my head that have far better efficacy for both ease of maintenance and functional design than anything currently in use whenever i look at something that just makes my damn eyes hurt. i think like "who the hell came up with this idea? it hurts my eyes" i may be the exception I am not sure but I personally feel like my mind subconscious ability to make connections and analyze variables is the biggest contributing factor to being able to pull it off

You don't know that, I don't know that, lets leave such norms out of it. To be honest, thats a very stupid statement of you guys "its a very good balance in the ecosystem @18:45", almost so annoying that the statement alone reduced credibility on the rest of the things you say.
