There was something about the simplicity of those times. Simple graphics, no voiceovers... a lot of elements were left to the imagination. Something the younger generations have missed. FF6 will always hold a special place in my heart. It's music will forever be memorable. Thanks for the good work.
Well said. Thinking back to those early days of gamedom reminds me of Cyan's poem, "The world before the fall/ Lovely is the light of dawn/ Noble is the heart of man." For me, FF6 will always be the world before the fall.
I played this game when it re-released for ps1. By that time, I had played through 8 and 9, so I halfway expected to be disappointed by the more outdated title. No way! This game blew me away from the opening scenes! Such rich storytelling and battle design. The music instantly hit me as something special, it stirred a feeling inside of me. To be honest, to this day, I haven’t beaten it. I kind of like it that way? Like, the story continues in my mind, the ending can be what I want it to be. Same reason I’ve never listened to The Beatles’ “Let it Be” album.
