I want a wood/biomass cook stove to replace my fireplace insert. Cook, watch the fire, keep the heat inside the house Most of the ones I see on these vids are tiny things compared to the one at my grandmother's house. It had 4 burners, full size oven with thermometer, two warming bins on top, and two heating ovens beside the main oven. Massive piece of porcelain coated sheet steel and cast iron that could warm the whole house. Craftsmanship like that has been forgotten. This is a good vid. Great demo with music that fits.
I'm so torn between this and another cook stove. I know that I'm a couple of years out from getting one (need to buy a house first), but I'm doing all of my research now.

finally SOMEONE with the brains and foresight to bring to theUSA what is a common sight in the UK,Ireland ,europe etc---a solid fuel range cooker(no mysteries between alternating wood or coal---light it up all the same) and with a fire view as well-!!! WHY those ugly,overweight messe$ dominate out here is beyond me. i see someone was concerned about the firebox--simply put in a couple of oven firebrick type tiles in strategic places-- and this is a beautiful,relaxing video as well.
@emanemanresuresu As far as I can see, the fire chamber has double wall and the inside wall is cast iron and not steel as the outer wall. I believe there is no problem with cast iron and open fire.
I cant clean ash from kitchen side cause door under kitchen is locked and there is thermostat installed in that door. Ash does not gather in kitchen side if cooking mode is not on. Please help.
why did they use the soundtrack to cover up the narration about the stove.,., pictures don't realy tell you any thing., they say a pic is worth a thousand words., but., words can tell you in 3 or for4., it works good., it doesn't work good., that beats pictures.,., ';'
Yes, it is nice they want to produce these in the USA....but it's looks so cheap and poorly designed...I hope they eventually come out with a good aga/rayburn/esse type stove...you don't want a glass door on the firebox when you are trying to stand there and cook, unless it has an outside door as well...you also don't want a thin glass door on the oven you are trying to keep heat in...also, it looks like it is made of relatively thin sheet metal

There are no stones inside the fire chamber. Isnt that to much for the metal? Ive seen many Stoves where the metal did "burn"

What length of logs can you put in?
