Huge Matt Johnson fan as well as well as Miller, Raab and McCarrol aka the Nirvanna the band crew. But outside of that I love Howerton. Can’t wait to see what this movie is like

Big fan of Matt Johnson's work here, and man, I just can't wait to see this new movie.
what makes Matt such a genius is how he’s never doing any of the super difficult work. at first you may think it’s just laziness but really, it’s because he has set things up in such a way that the super difficult work of writing out the exact script, exact camera angles, etc. are not necessary. his foundation is set up perfectly so that things fall into place almost, and he can actually focus on the output or the craft. its highlighted when he describes writing the story as “once you have these three characters the story does fall into place”. its totally true. he makes it look almost effortless because in some ways it is, its just done from a brilliant start point which propels everything towards success
Just watched tonight and instantly became one of my favourite movies. Been reading a lot about hostile take overs and financial disasters/scandals so it suited perfectly to what I was already into and he added such fantastic comedy to it that it blew me away completely. Incredible job.

matt johnson you will always be famous
I too have a question for Matt Johnson. He selected 5 different ladies for 5 different key moments in the movie.
First the assistant when Jim Balsillie took over the start up and gave it professional look
then the lady engineer when Charles Purdy gave a beat down on the fun loving easy going team on movie night and told them to act serious and get the job done at any cost
the marketing lady when the team was watching Steve Jobs launch Iphone
the Chinese lady who was the spokesperson of NHL telling him the League had rejected his bid for the team
And finally the SEC lady who told Mike he was CEO when showing him the contract papers
On all 5 turnaround moments he got a lady to signify the the dramtatic turn of events. And zoomed the camera on her face.
Was this by choice like he had decided it would be like this ? Or it was mere coincidence.
And how did he select those 5 female actors ? What sort of relation did he have with them ? How did they get the role ?
If somebody can get the question to him ?

Every question of those reporters was either boring or completely embarassing. Could anyone of them ever watch an Ali Plumb or Simon Mayo interview and learn how to be a good film journalist?
The one that asks about the final scene that refers to where the SEC is at and Jim asks "Next door?" was actually very good.

I wish movie is based more on historical detail what really happened, movie is 80% fictional.
Why's he dressed like a member of all time low. Warped ended years ago.
Blackberry failed to progress. They should have picked android to begin with.
I think it was the design. The Touch screen and style did the key for smartphone or Iphone. But they had the market dominance for a few years. Blackberrys were the rage. I think they were the intermediaries between the feature phone to fully equipped smartphone.
Kind of like the Toyota Prius of smartphones. Before EV or Tesla took the world by storm Toyota Prius was the environment friendly car everybody wanted to own.
