Thank you for the tips, so many great ideas! I really like how you store your ink pads, and especially turning the ones that require re-inking, great idea! Loved the idea about dragging the ink pad across the paper to lessen the amount, but also to create a beautiful, colourful piece of paper for a future project, so smart! Thank you again!
I am so inspired to get even more organized! I love the color coding of the dies and stamp sets. Thanks for all the ideas and information, this was great!
Thanks so much for this informative video, Ardyth. Some of these I have already implemented but some were new to me. Special thanks for sharing your matching color combos for CP inks and Copics - you’re a dear!
I have no idea how you popped up on my screen/UA-cam, but I do need to tell you this just last night I was looking at my shelfs with everything on them. I grabbed my two containers that I have all my Christmas in one a stamps and dies, the other one I have everything else under the sun. I kept taking them out laying on the bed trying to sort them putting them back in then all of a sudden I just tossed them on the table and said dear Lord please help me I need help with all this getting organized. So this morning I woke up turn on my UA-cam and you was there the first one, WOW! I know GOD heard me asking for help, I had no idea that HE would lead me to you. You are a Blessing to Card Makers and Crafters. As I seen your container with the lid, I remembered that my mother had two of them lol she was about ready to throw them out, I told her "NO Mother" I'll have them please. Thank You Thank You. As I went to go get them I also remembered my daughter had moved leaving her sons shelf with tiny bins that sat on them. I guess he kept his toys in them. I'm now going to have a more beautiful organized craft room I do believe. I am so happy and excited to start putting things away to see how they all fit. I'll need to watch your video over again, because I absolutely Love how you marked your stamp and die packages and that is the perfect color of Makers to identify them and how you made your new Swatch Ford what a wonderful idea just like Sandy it well I'm going to get busy I'm sorry for taking up so much time but I wanted to tell you thank you🙏 I'm so thankful that I found you as I turned on my phone this morning. And for writing so much LOL but I'm excited and you are so amazing, intelligent and so organized, I love your craft room 🥰😊❤❣
Wow,wow, wow! This makes me so happy! I'm glad you found it useful - I have a craft room tour video as well, which may have other tips that you can use (although I admit I repeated the colour coding of the stamps! lol!) I keep my Christmas stamps separate from the 'rest of the year' stamps, and they are labelled with red (of course!). The most important thing is to find something that works for you. Thank you so much for leaving all this love!
@@ardyth Thank You I will look for it😊❤ that makes me smile, I also keep all my Christmas in a bin by them self, it's because I Love Christmas so much and for what the true meaning is; that I have over abundance of stamps and dies of Christmas ❤😊❣ That's good that you repeated your color code and information on your stamps and dies. Thank You so much Ardyth, and please stay safe and healthy, this will all be over soon, I have faith it will❤😊
Thanks so much, Ardyth! I’ve also covered those sticky places in die envelopes with tape, so thanks for affirming my little fix. 😁. These are good ideas all around for keeping the card making life together. Have a good day!
Just came from Justine’s post and I enjoyed your organization so much that I hit that subscribe button and bell. Now on to watching some of your other recent videos!
I just put all my frame dies on hooks hanging up now after watching your video, this will be SO much better! I may buy the rings if I'm a klutz but I like fast and loose 😁
Great organization tips, Ardyth! I like how you swatched your inks and matched them with Copics. And striped panels you create when reinking your minis are fabulous!!! I don't have any minis but now I want some---hahaha!!!
Sticky strips on original packaging drives me crazy occasionally! I've spent lots of time trying to rug that stuff off. Thanks for the tip to cover it with scotch tape!
Me too! I wish they wouldn't put the glue in, (and I also wish they would tell me what it is because it's super strong and I could make good use of it! LOL!) Thanks so much for watching!
This is terrific! I especially liked the re-inker portion as I’ve never done that (I’ve only recently begun to unpack and organize my crafts and don’t have a lot of supplies in that category). The unit I purchased has swinging doors on it and I glued magnetic sheets on the door and hang all my dies there....very easy to see and grab! TYFS! ❤️
Wow, I loved it! I have toured your craft room before but I missed seeing that binder ring for circles, that's so cool! I have to write down things I need to buy after the lockdown is over and till then swatch all my inks. Thank your for such a detailed and amazing organisation tips Ardyth. My son saw a part where he saw the hex chart and said, she has so many colors! And got my hex chart. And offered to buy me all the missing colours when he grows up. Your video gave me an awww moment too. Thank you Ardyth ❤
The binder ring is 'new' to me - and I love it! I've been working on my Copic collection for a number of years.... they seem to multiply all on their own! Thanks for watching, Ishani!
To date, I’ve used the page protectors that fit into the half-sized 3 ring binders for storing my dies (just in a box). At first, I was having trouble getting the loaded magnetic sheets to slide down back into the protector, so I cut down a 2nd protector to cover the dies and keep them from catching on top edge of the outside protector as I slid them back in.
That is something I have been doing for more than 10 years and it's cheap, easy and helpful. Probably my best 'original' tip! lol! Thanks so much for watching!
Please do! It's so easy to create! I have been working with it now for a couple of weeks, and I'm really liking it and using it more than the previous one! Thanks for watching!
Magnetic vent covers can be purchased at Lowe's and cut down to fit plastic sleeves to store dies. For about $7 you get 3 sheets, 8 x 6 inches. Excellent value.
I've heard that before, but haven't been able to find them (on the few Lowe's visits where I've remembered to look! LOL!) I wonder if it's a US/Canada thing? I will continue to search. I have heard that our Dollarama carries magnet sheets too! Thanks so much for watching!
Hi Ardyth. I realize this video is old and I am not sure if you will get this request but…can you share the match-up of the CP inks with Copic markers? I too use CP inks and to have the Copic match would be amazing!!! Thank you!
Absolutely love your tips! These are so super helpful!!! Thanks for all the great ideas when you reink your ink pads I love those backgrounds you made!
Not sure if this is the right place to do this - but going to ask anyway! I have been a scrapbooker for years and now that I am retired have really started loving doing cards! I love all the suggestions on how to do proccesses and now storage. So here's my question - what are some of the first items you would purchase to get started? Where did you start?
A lot of it will depend on your personal taste, but tools-wise, I would get a MISTI, a good all-purpose black ink, a stamp set with sentiments for all occasions in a font you like, and then an image set you like - florals, or whatever. Great video, thanks! I have a question, the lidded clear plastic storage container you use to store the cards you've made, do you happen to know the dimensions of that? I've seen a lot of them on Amazon in various sizes. Your link sent me to one that was 10.7 x 7.1 x 6.5 but the top on that one looked different than the one you have so I wasn't sure if it was the same one. Thanks so much in advance for any help you can offer. :-)
I just measured and it's 10x6x5 I will double check the link - that may just be the closest thing I could find. I've had mine for years. Thanks so much for watching!
