I'm over the moon about the new rule. It can get massively congested. When the large crowds swarm. The Guard Horses. That's why they get distressed. And you can't blame them. Sometimes they're not feeling the crowds. I can't imagine. What its like for a horse. All those grubby hands coming at you. The handsome Life Guard. Before the change was outstanding. With no touch rule. The trooper in camo. Always great moving the crowds back and calming the Guard Horses. Gold star for the Corporal of Horses. Yelling at the disobedient tourists.❤️❤️❤️💂♀️👍👍
Well done to this trooper from the stables, and corporal of horse. Poor horse feels hemmed in, all the total idiots instead of standing back just stand there, then that kid screams that was enough to deafen me must have hurt the horses delicate ears as if he wasn't upset enough already. It took a trooper COH and then eventually the policeman decided to help get the crowd away from this already anxious horse. This is why numbers must be controlled not allowed to be a free for all. Now the other poor has to endure these morons. This clear area must be maintained at all the times! On top of the idiotic tourist there were several flies around that horses face. Why hasn't anyone notice the blue drinks container or water bottle near the fence at the side of this box? Was the trooper feeding the horse tranquilizer? I must say that this trooper really loves the horses and isn't afraid to tell the tourists to move back pity the trooper on the horse didn't enforce this sooner. Glad they took the horse back in he was so afraid he wouldn't leave the corner of the box. Arnie is actually Radan a mare who doesn't suffer fools gladly the female version of Ormonde The Blues and Royals tourist hater. I love them both and hope they bring him next time the Royals a Blues return this week miss him when he isn't here when the guards are here. Haven't seen Radan for a while either. The problem is mainly that all of these people think they have an entitlement to abuse the horses, they are so scared that they might not get a picture where it looks like they own the horse, how they would explain the guard on the horses back would be interesting to hear! This torture to these gentle animals who in the main like human beings but this must begin to fade when they aren't listened to, horses have a wonderful way of letting people know that they are not happy with them being around them, pushing with the nose gently at first then a bit harder then if they are still not taking any notice a good hard shove, they also try and move their heads away from the hands on their faces sometimes moving their whole head and neck and even then the twits don't get it, so they also need the guards to back them up and keep on doing it until the zombies understand that they must give the horse and guard their personal space and keep their dirty hands of the horse in the main and the guard.
The trooper on the horse is a riding instructor so I think he knows what he is doing. Prob best for him not to be shouting with this horse. He knows his job
This young man is doing an incredible job. He’s wearing all the regalia, and he’s holding a sword in his right hand. Yet he still manages to keep control of a huge horse with his left hand. This is not a side show, this is a soldier and his horse performing their duties.
This looks like a young horse. Good to see lots of pats, encouragement and some hand feeding, to keep him occupied. There should be that much space around the horses, at all times, whether the horse is experienced or in training. Good job everyone.

If I'm not mistaken, they are more crowd control and to assist the troopers. If there are a soldier and the COH then they go by what the troopers need and ask for. It seems like the COH is keeping him informed as to what they want. Good jobs officers!!! Just my thoughts.
The police are Ministry of Defence police as Horse Guards is a MOD property , their role is security , antiterrorism and public safety on a military base . They assist at change over and in this case for public safety . When some people talk about them " standing around in groups chatting " they are constantly observing the area for any potential threats to safety they have earpieces which keep them in constant contact with those watching the cctv cameras which are all over the courtyard and in the boxes . They can and do order troublemakers to leave the courtyard , watch out for and detain pickpockets . So useless they are Not !
I'm not sure. If it's this is the regular officer that guards out front or a new one. This officer seems more low key. I haven't seen our favorite female officer. She would have handled the crowd asap. Hope she's okay. The trooper in camo/Corporal of Horses were outstanding. They did what needed to be done. With this unruly crowd.❤️❤️👍👍
