Lego Star Wars prices are definitely getting out of control. They are continuing to go up. With that, I have to now be more mindful with my purchasing decisions. I’m picking and choosing what sets I absolutely need to have and are day 1 buys. And sets that I don’t care for at all, or can wait for a sale. With this new wave there are literally only 2 sets that I want to buy day 1. Those being the Ahsoka Peridea set, and the Sarlacc Pit. Now the Sarlacc Pit is ridiculously overpriced at $80, but if I’m only getting just 2 sets I’m willing to pay full price.
I don’t understand getting sets day 1 at all to be honest. Unless they’re Lego Shop exclusives you can get every set with at least a 30% discount after a couple months. As an adult I feel like it’s really worth it to be a bit patient and save a ton of money in the long run. Plus not supporting Lego’s terrible pricing as much.
@sleinzer2302 I agree 95% of the time, but sometimes there’s sets I just want day 1 for the childlike joy of building it (even though my wallet suffers)!
lego needs to realise that theyre a toy company making toys for children, and pricing their toys at £80, £160, etc. means that their target audience will probably not even be able to buy them 😭😭
I find their pricing very strange. Sometimes, like with the smaller city jungle sets, they price cheap and nicely accessible but then far too often it’s just too high and yes that does make it hard for parents to buy for getting children into it
The prices are a direct result of the amount of money Disney wants for the licensing. Lego Star Wars would be reasonably priced if Disney wasn't losing money.
Yes, they are. A clone trooper pack would be $10 to 15 back in the day, now it's $20 to 30. Glad I'm stopping with Lego, but it also hurts to not collect minifigures anymore. If it was Count Dooku and the ship from Episode 3. Then I would pay the price.
I got my clone fives, he is all i care from this wave, maybe jedi Bob starfighter but its all overpriced , that they can give you discount and they still make a lot of money.
Lego are doing this to themselves. They are the only ones ramming the lego star wars market into the ground while the fans just have to watch their favourite lego genre go up in flames. It's just fustrating
Do you recommend buying Imperial Star Destroyer or millennium falcon (grey version)? I don't know which one to buy because the millennium falcon (grey) its going to be retired and the black one I don't like at all.
@@gerard5742 I like both but then I am also rather greedy… I’d go with retiring first and get the other later unless space is an issue then get whichever you like most.
Only set I'm getting - preordering, in fact - from this wave will be the TIE Fighter and X-Wing mashup, purely for the fact the X-Wing looks - in my opinion - outstanding in spite of its smaller scale. The unique pilot and droid and the fact that this isn't another Red 5 and Luke Skywalker definitely appealed to me. The new style of TIE Pilot also looks great, though the TIE Fighter's build doesn't look the best. Would've much preferred the 2021 75300 TIE Fighter's overall style and build, but I can somewhat understand the change. Probably the only set with a somewhat decent and justifiable price, though having to pay almost $50 CAD more than 2023's TIE Interceptor vs. Fang Fighter - which I do own and can say was well worth its price - is definitely turning me away from any future LEGO Star Wars purchases. Genuinely curious what other people have to say about this one and definitely looking forward to any incoming reviews by LEGO Star Wars UA-camrs. I think its a somewhat refreshing set with the removable wing play-features, and the X-Wing truly looks great to me.
The DOLLAR TREE owned toy line "Final Faction" is seriously beating everything else in price, they arent no cheaply carelessly thrown together things either, its got amazing sculpting, good enough paint to get a general idea of details, and good quality materials and build quality, all 1.25 a piece
C3PO looks alright, but as a rule I dont buy star wars unless its heavily discounted. I'm never going to pre-order or buy on day 1. The star wars name has too much of a premium for my taste.
With the way things have been, it'll be no surprise that UCS Sail Barge is gonna HURT. It better come with another skiff if they ask UCS Falcon prices for it.
Lego Star Wars cost more good thing I no longer care about them I prefer buying other Lego products Over the years I got near 200 star wars lego sets so I can survive
I have a theory about the skeleton crew ship I reckon that the build able c3po was meant to have come in October and they have moved to August to replace the skeleton crew ship to the October wave

Well given that we are getting the UCS sail barge later this year, I imagine Wequay will be included as one of the minifigures in that set. I mean I would’ve thought the sarlac pit and skiff would have been included in the UCS set, so it’s a bit concerning that they’ve done it as a separate set. Certainly raises my expectations for the sail barge, it needs to awesome now to justify the UCS tag if I’m gonna have to buy the skiff and the pit separately. 🤔🤷🤣 And I think the biggest issue with Boba aside from the jet pack, is no cloth cape! Lego are really doing us in by not including fabric pieces for Boba and others!
All the sets are good but should sell for $10 less. Doesnt matter to me since i already pre ordered 3 of each and im going to sell it when they retire.

LEGO IS PRICING THEMSELVES RIGHT OUT OF THE MARKET ON SOME SETS.
What market? They have a virtual monopoly.
The sarlacc Luke has his hand because a sail barge member shoots it later in the scene
He didn't wear the glove before it was damaged...
U could always go back and watch return of the Jedi to see if he has the glove or not
No gloves and his hand was just slightly grazed by a pistol. Luke could still use his hand afterwards like a true Jedi 😆
