A wonderful demonstration in a beautiful setting!!! I enjoyed the subscriber pics once again!! Thanks Jay!!
🌟Thanks Nigel! We had so much fun too! There was a lot more funny stuff in the audio feed.. but it wasn’t for public consumption. 🤣 I know you can relate. 😃
Great video. Mr. Larch is very knowledgeable. I had the privilege of learning from him yesterday.
🌟Thanks Derrick! Awesome! Glad you got to help with the repotting! 👍
Fantastic work on the Larch of Mr. Larch!
🌟Thanks Tom! 🙏
Perfect timing! I am just wiring and repotting my tamarack today!! Thanks so much from Minneapolis, MN!!
Jill

The larch has great lines. Such a good video Jay!
🌟Thank you Raymond! 🙏
Oh no! I’m about to jump on the Tube! I’ll catch up with you later, Jay!
Looking forward to see your work on the larch!
🌟A gold medal for Stefano! 🥇
@@BlueJayBonsai Wonderful larch tree indeed! Looking forward to have one too!
I kindly disagree with you: if the Gods of Videos aren’t with you when you produce episodes like this, they are definitely cursing us when we try to shoot one!
And kudos to Coach Collin in particular for his trees that are absolutely awesome!
Great video as always. Now I'm the one with zone envy.
🌟Ha ha, the grass is always greener on the other side… 😂 Thanks!
Oh wow, isn't that a fancy larch! Was keeping my breath with the apex remodeling.. 😶 Gotta keep that sphagnum moss hint in mind, if it would work for me. I'd love to have a mossy moss planting... 💚
Ray, my man, you said it. Moss! MOOOOSSSSS! 💚💚💚
🌟Thanks Aija! 🤣
Thank you for the demo. Fantastic styling!
🌟Thanks Christopher!
Beautiful Trees 🌳
Like it ❤
My friend, have a good day
🌟Thank you my friend! 🙏
Fabulous video Jay. Larches are beautiful tree's one of my favourites. Great subscriber's pic's
🌟Thanks Deb! I’m in the "I love Larch" fan club. 🤣
Finished tree is great looking. Great Saturday morning video. I always look forward to Saturday mornings and a Blue Jay video with a nice hot cup of tea.
🌟Thanks Tom! I am having my tea now and catching up on videos. It’s almost a second full time job! 😃
@@BlueJayBonsai Yes it is.
@@BlueJayBonsai first time I find myself saying that a bit of insomnia helps to stay on top of videos! 🤣
i bet my neighbours hate that substrate sieving sound of this metal thing xD i also picked up moss on sidewalks and people came around asking wtf are you cleaning the stones, thats nice xD
🌟Ha ha, thanks Mango Papaya! Cleaning the stones. 🤣😂
Great demonstration, the branches create movement and give lots of character to the tree
🌟Thanks Izabela!
Very beautiful bonsai, greetings from Indonesia 🙏🙏
🌟Thank you Raja Petualang Bondowoso!
Looks like I only took the silver today. Quick draw Stefano with the gold. 👍🏻
🌟Thanks Matt! Silver indeed! 🥈
Thanks jay for another great video! I love this tree !!
🌟Thanks Brandon! I love it too!
Great Pics
Cool! That does look good! Maybe I'll go gather some once the snow melts!
🌟Awesome! I was thinking that wet area near the power lines would probably have larch…
@@BlueJayBonsai Actually no, but there are some down the road. They like it a bit more dry! I have a big old one on my property. On my Haunted Halloween trails!
Great larch! Nice pictures.😀👍
🌟Thanks Magnus!
Great video Jay! I love love love larches! I've been meaning to get to Ray's for some more. Viewer's pics are awesome as well! Happy Saturday! Did I mention I love larches?
🌟Thanks Carol! We should start a Larch Love club. 🐦💙
I was waiting for this video!
🌟Ha ha. Thanks. 👍
Funny, when we screen, we do the opposite !! But definitely different purposes!! Tree is fabulous!! And viewer picks are great as always!!
I hope you're having a great weekend, Jay !!!
Cheers Jason and Colleen 🌱🌱🌱
🌟Thanks Jason & Colleen!
Hi Jay. As usual another wonderful video. It's incredible how much I learn from them. Thank you so much for showing my trees on subscriber's pics. I am so honored. Looking forward to see more of your videos and I know your channel will grow and be an inspiration to many people around the world. Best wishes to you. Love from South Africa 🇿🇦.
🌟Thanks Collin! Glad you enjoyed it. Your pics were a hit! 🐦💙
Awesome tree jay! I also just recently started using dry moss for growing decorative moss and it worked but I didn’t shred it so next time I’ll shred it and see what’s better lol!
🌟Cool Aaron!
Larch trees have been growing on me lately, so excellent timing for this video! Thanks for sharing Jay! Now I have to go get me one of these 🤣
🌟Thanks Christian! I’ll take you to Ray’s if you come back this way…
Good video nice sharing
🌟Thank you my friend! 🙏
Much like! Nice video Jay. That larch came out looking nice. Ryan over at Bonsai Mirai says that he mixes shredded local green moss with shredded sphagnum moss for his topping when he wants moss sometimes adding a small amount of green food coloring
🌟Thanks Patricia! Green food coloring!?!? Oh boy, this hobby is getting weird. 😂🤣
@@BlueJayBonsai Ikr? but it gave the moss a greenish tint which only got greener as the real living moss caught up.
Nice video jay! At the moment I'm eyeballing this Larch on a vacant lot in my city. It's just on top of concrete in a mix of dead leaves and mos, so should be a fairly easy yamadori to get out.
🌟Oooh, nice urbandori find! Sounds good Thomas!
Awesome larch. I’ve been looking for one on my nursery visits, but here in Connecticut I haven’t been able to find one. I’ll probably have to order one online. Very little access to bonsai nurseries here. That project is certainly off to a great start. Thanks, keep growing
🌟Thanks Matt! We are super lucky to have Ray in our club. Best of luck finding a larch. 🤞
Matt, let me know if you're ever up in NH
@@michaelcowart6100 . Thanks, will do
I don’t have a larch yet . . . everyone working their larches. . . I need to find me one this year 🤣🙈
🌟Thanks Bonsai Science! Where are you located?
@@BlueJayBonsai Northwest Wisconsin - south of you but colder zone 😜.
@@Candice.BonsaiScience Toronto dips pretty far south.. I may just be south of you depending on exactly where in the state you are. 🤷🏻At least we know a larch will survive in your zone if you can find one. Best of luck!
Nice potting mix. Did you bring any home? Great potting video. To bad you did not have lipstick on hand. Cheaper than cut paste. Works the same.
🌟Thanks Tom! Club video.. so only traditional techniques. I have all the ingredients now to make my own.
Nice tree and demo! Certainly looking forward to seeing that in the future for an update on the progress. If you have a larch from a garden nursery in standard soil do you ever bare root the tree when moving to a bonsai mix? Not sure if larches tolerate that or not. Cheers!
🌟I will do an update …. Maybe in the fall. Depends on Mr. Larch’s schedule as he owns his own construction business and summer is super busy for him. Yes, you can bare root larch. They are super tough and it’s another great reason to use them for bonsai!
@@BlueJayBonsai thank you!
I can not belive mr larch cut off that first branch...! Uffffda
🌟Hey, when their name is Mr Larch, you don’t ask questions. 😂🤣
@@BlueJayBonsai hahahaha 🤣
Twisting. Sounds like an old song
