I worked as a Concierge at a Condominium called the Cosmopolitan on East 48th street. Mr Hedison had an Apartment there and spent much time when he was in NYC. He was a very nice man who didn't ask for much and was always pleasant. I worked there till 1999 and Mr Hedison still had his Apartment there. Mr Roger Moore came by the building who was also pleasant to meet they were friends like it said in the video.
During my time working there as a concierge Mr Hedison was always a Gentleman I have to honestly say. He never asked for much and was a descent tipper during the holidays. Sorry to hear of his passing and as far as I saw there wasn't anything tragic about his life. Rest in Peace Mr Hedison and thank you for always being so nice & humble. 🙏👍🙏

Like a wine fine, Mr. David Hedison never changed. A classic, true gentleman, when he passed this world lost a special man. Yet at the same time, Heaven gained one of its finest citizens! God speed Mr. Hedison!

David Hedison (along with Jeffrey Wright) were the only two actors to play CIA Agent Felix Leiter more than once in the James Bond Franchise. David Hedison played Felix in Live And Let Die and Licence To Kill. Jeffrey Wright played Felix in Casino Royale, Quantum Of Solace, and No Time To Die.

It's amazing, David Hardison's facial expiration has such a striking resemblance to Tyron Power. Capitan Lee Crane lived a full life and passed away @92. leaving this 64 year old kid growing up during the 1960's nothing short of great memories of Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea FOREVER ! RIP 🌹 RIP.

I watched "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea" when I was little in 1968..Such a handsome man I used to say..yes children know who is good looking and not so handsome..I knew when watching " I Love Lucy" that Ricky Ricardo was more handsome than Fred Mertz..David Hedison looked middle Eastern to me..He reminds me of Ethiopian born black chef Marcus Samuelsson..

I don't think I ever missed anything that he was in. I always liked him so much. From what I'm reading on here. He was a down to earth guy and that's always the way I saw him. I loved voyage the volume of the sea. One of my favorite little things about the show. Was that the admiral played by richard basshardt often more sweater over his uniform. I'm guessing because it might be kind of cold on a submarine. But the best thing about it is the sweater. It was green and it had a little hole on it that they never fixed. And I thought that was the greatest touch. It was just an old sweater that he put on when it was chilly and I loved that. It seems so real , and that's something that someone serving in the submarine would probably do. By the way if you ever get a chance to Tour a submarine please do it. You will wonder how people manage to live on those ships for months at a time. Very tight fit in the world war two period subs. A little tiny bit better. A little More elbow room in the Ones I got a chance to go on in the sixties

WHAT tragic ending? He had a LONG life and died of natural causes, having outlived his wife. By the way, Irwin Allen also offered him the role of Capt. Crane FIRST for the Voyage movie, just after The Lost World. Hedison's unhappy experience on that film caused him to turn down Voyage, the movie, forcing Allen to go with Robert Sterling. When Irwin came back to him for the Voyage series pilot 3 years later, it was his friend Roger Moore who convinced him to accept, saying that the steady work of a TV series was most comforting to have.

Where do you get this sad life crap? He had a long ,successful career, over 60 years . With nearly 300 appearaces in stage, TV, and Movies. He lived in Hollywood in the same house he had bought back around 1965. And most impressive, he was married to the same woman for 48 years and had 2 beautiful daughters . Both successful. And passes away with an estimsted value between 2 and 3 million. He had a good life. He passed away with his loved ones around him. And was cremated and his ashes scattered over the Pacfic. We should all be this lucky. I only wish there was a grave or memorial stone to visit. RIP David . You are greatly missed by family , friends and fans. This was not a sad life!!!.❤❤❤😊😊😊 8:37

He was awesome and funny I wanted to go see he he did like meet and greets voyage fans etc his middle name was David. I cant remember but obe of his daughters i belive is a famous actor too. God it seemed like Jody foster or somebody. He made an awesome Navy man they should have gave hime more military ship man parts. I still watch voyage reruns to this day. He must have actually loved the sea i know my mom wanted sprinkled in Sears lol to feel like was still shopping there. I would have sneaked her in but all my brthers turned into theiving crooks ripping me off by the time of her death. I was preparing to go home the night she died my ph quit and went and bought one I would have to call and say call me back to hear her. All my brothers ripped my parents off now I have to sue them it sucks. But i still love Hedisons work even saw his the day appeared on the young and restless while eating lunch and said hey ots Crane lol 👍👍
