This has been a great quilt along. It inspired me to make a variation. I really like LeMoyne and Hunter’s Star quilts. I dislike..intensely…LeMoyne and Hunter’s Star quilts made from HST’s. They are a poor reproduction of these beautiful blocks as the balance is off. This method works so easily. I hope your wonderful series inspires others to make this project. So much variety can be had. It also avoids bias that other methods that cut the traps from the center of an HST. Too much bias that will not provide good results. This method keeps straight of grain where it belongs. I don’t have her ruler which many will find helpful. My Creative Grids Diamond Dimension ruler and my Simple Folded Corners (Antler Designs) allow me to make the traps and accurate cuts. I have and recommend many of DT’s rulers. I am at the point in my quilting life I can make these swaps easily.
Thank you for this wonderful series, I learned so much.
