Sounds like you had a great weekend. Congratulations! The One of a Kind show in Toronto is a phenomenal show & hard to get into I understand. I don’t believe you have to be there the entire time. You can pick your days. It is expensive though & of course you have to get there & stay someplace all of which is costly. But being asked is quite an honour!
I did not have any doubt that you would have done well at the your market. I was so riveted by your market wrap-up that I sat in my car to watch the whole thing instead of waiting to go indoors. 😉. Congratulations, Diane.💖🍾
So glad you did well at your market.....that is a lot of mittens! I have been to the One of a Kind show in Toronto years ago and remember how big it was and all the walking we did and so many people. Like Judy said..quite an honour to be asked! I can see why your mittens are so popular and your booth set up is really nice. I love the fox coasters and how wonderful of the gentleman to do that piece for you and give it to you! Better get knitting some more mittens for the next market!!
So glad it was a successful show! Loved your booth. Lots of knitting in your future for the next 3 weeks. I think specializing in mittens and wearables is a good idea.
So happy for you, great job! It looked like an amazing market Diane, and when you have nice neighbours it makes everything better. The fox art was absolutely beautiful ❤ And now you rest, and knit 😂.
@@tamisabo2797 I don't think I will get too much done for the next market. I have my preorders done, so whatever I get done....hope your market was successful! ❤
So happy that the market went well for you, my friend. Good weather, good sales, good neighbors beside you -- and all the feedback from the Scattered Seeds organizer & the recruiter for One Of A Kind. What a great weekend!
Awesome ❤ Thanks for taking us on your weekend. What a crow box? Love the coasters with those adorable foxes. I never heard of a Sweedish dish cloth. Oh my, an 11 day event? It's All about the mittens ❤ OMG how incredibly kind and how beautiful I miss the networking at festivals, but it's too exhausting for me these days.
Wow Diane, I'm so happy for you, what a successful market ! Have you thought about opening an online store, even if you just direct people there when you're out of stock of something. You could make it pick up by arrangement so you don't need to worry about shipping. I think you need to set aside time each week throughout the year to only knit mittens so that you have enough stock for these markets. Very happy for you with your lovely experiences ❤
@@lisagardiner7799 Thanks Lisa. I am planning to knit mittens each week going forward. That was my plan for this past year, but then my mom-in-law fell ill and she was more important. We'll see how this year goes! I direct locals to my Instagram when they want to order outside of market season, but I am happy to take a break from it soon.
So glad you did so well at your market! Always enjoy hearing about your success and what you sold. Hope you have the same good experiences at your next market. If the fox artist is at a future market, you could have him sign and date your original.
I'm so happy to hear it was such a success. I never had any doubts that it wouldn't be. Sounds like you had a blast and got some goodies along the way. That was so sweet of the gentleman who gifted you the fox and for him to just create it right then and there.
I’m so happy for your successful market! That idea to go 100% mittens sounds wise. You’ve got something pretty special there. Other than they’re being adorable I’m trying to put my finger on why I’m so drawn to them. Perhaps it’s the instant puppet/friend on a little one’s hand that speaks to me. I always did love puppets…well…till chucky came along! Anyway, well done. Ps. I had to rewind for a second look at your lighting, 😂.
Hi Diane! Awesome work on your market! The One of A Kind show is very big in Toronto. I think I went there so many years ago. You did well to be invited to that. If you do decide to go, I may be able to offer you a place to stay. Gotta ask my mom first. 😊 But with big shows come big fees for a booth. Good Luck with your next one. ❤

A show that size would be too much. I hardly have enough stock for the shows I do!
