Thank you! 🙏🏻 I seen this in 2018 when I was at Barclay Bible College in Haviland Kansas. I was Majoring in Bible + Theology & it was the best thing ever to see our fellow students preforming in such an incredible way. I haven’t been able to get a copy of it 😢So thank you for posting this!
This is awesome! We performed this musical back in freshman year of high school. Amazing talent (esp the Narrator) and production! I was singing along all throughout the show. 😄
Isabella Higley This exact one?? You all did an absolutely amazing job. I enjoyed watching every second of this video. The singing, dancing, little bits of comedy( lol) it was all perfect. I have never seen Joseph on Broadway but I have the dvd and you all ( and I mean this) could be on Broadway.
We performed this at an outdoor theater here in my community. Was awesome! The cast here did an excellent job. The singing boy oh boy. That was really good. Good job to everyone. I also played The Pharaoh in ATDC.
I absolutely loved Joseph and the amazing Technicolor dreamcoat so much I watch this for my autism to calm my aggressive behaviour down it’s so entertaining and stress relieving 😊
I did this show recently (played Benjamin) and was singing along with the songs. These people did such a good job and the set was awesome. I may be a bit biased about the costumes/actors/choreo though. These people put so much work into this and I didn't notice any errors. That is really impressive.😮
it great musical Written by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice for a teacher friend for the school show around in the mid 60's as a 25 minute version with the full version late 60's early 70's after the success of Jesus Christ Superstar,
She didn't. Molly was played by another girl that graduated not long after Peter was performed. However, the narrator was in Peter. If you watch the beginning of act 2 she is one of the mermaids that has a solo
THIS WAS GOOD BUT SO BAD IT WAS EVEN BETTER. THIS IS NOT A KNOCK, I LOVE THESE KINDS OF PRODUCTIONS SOMETIMES MORE THAN PROFESSIONALS BECAUSE OF THE "HEART" IN IT.. GREAT JOB GANG
You know, reading this when I was in a yeshiva as a young boy, I was more moved there by what the brothers did to Joseph's ass than any times I've watched this musical. I think that is the problem with these wall to wall musicals of Weber/Rice-you don't get dialogue scenes that make you care about the people.
@@pyszo33 Both versions of the coat were sewed with lots o' cool fabrics (hard to see here, but the parts that look brown are actually this baller multicolored satin-y fabric) You may not be wowed by the final product, but the girl who designed/made it was in college (i.e. learning as she worked on the production) and she put her heart and soul into costuming this show and designing each piece. She was very excited about how she incorporated Joseph's dreams into the first coat (golden wheat lining the bottom, sun and moon on the shoulder, thin/fat cows lining the sleeves, pretty sure there's corn and stars in there too) and had to reinsert and fix up the glowing lights on the finale coat every night. You can say you didn't like it and that's totally fine. You can say you don't think it reads well in a theater format and that's solid constructive criticism, but please don't imply no creativity/effort was put in.
Excellent production!! Everything was perfect - great sound, wonderfully talented cast, and the Narrator and Joseph were absolutely phenomenal.
All the brothers in the ensemble has such clear powerful voices good job awsome

YOU ARE SO RIGHT, SHE ABSOLUTELY NAILED IT.

The Baker knows he's going to be executed, yet he joins in the singing at the end of Act 1. Guess he figured, "What the fuck?"
I was the Baker in this exact production and the director basically told me to be like, "Eh, he's cool, fuck it!"
@@mandierin266 lmao
@@mandierin266 Thanks for your answer. You didn't play anyone else?

Loved this !!! Thank you
My version in 2007 used "We are the Champions" after "Give Me My Colored Coat."
Absolutely loved this production but was let down by the Coat at the end!
where did this school get so many boys
and how are they so good bro
I was wondering that too because when we did this production six of our twelve brothers were girls.
Well. This was a treat!
it great musical Written by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice for a teacher friend for the school show around in the mid 60's as a 25 minute version with the full version late 60's early 70's after the success of Jesus Christ Superstar,
The dancers put me off but looks like a good production overall ❤️❤️❤️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thats the idea , its magic
The camel singing made it a vent act!
When Jacob mentions his favorite wife, he's only referring to one out of his two wives he had.
Techniclly he had the servants that his two wives gave him.
my school was going to do this, we had just finished learning act 1, but then school and everything else got cancelled due to covid-19 :(
So was ours
Aw man. I'm sorry. If it didn't happen, I'm sure it would've been great.
We were four days until opening night! I had a solo! 😭
My school was gonna take us to Japan
@@makenziekate1523 who were you playing as
Idk y but I love the baker sm
Great, but Pharoah didn't do the cow verse again like asked.
Well, Joseph probably actually understood he just wanted to see pharoah sing again. 😅
Well done I’m also doing this in June I’m doing rehearsals after school on Tuesdays
Best Canaan days that I've seen very funny
Didnt the narrator play molly in peter?
She didn't. Molly was played by another girl that graduated not long after Peter was performed. However, the narrator was in Peter. If you watch the beginning of act 2 she is one of the mermaids that has a solo

Where was this performed?
This performance was at Huntington University in 2018 in Huntington, Indiana.
Strangely, the teen production I saw recently actually had better costuming.
And a better colored coat 😊
Ours had a better colored coat as well😅
Some of the outfits in this screamed ‘HAIRSPRAY’

WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
Who costumed this show?!!
I know right? The costumes are so much more realistic than ours were when I did this show!
So is there only one female lead in the whole show?
Yes. However, I have seen a production of this show where the female lead was a duet (split between two female singers)
yeah cause the show is about joseph
Correct
the original Narrated was Tim Rice who wrote the Lyrics back in the 1960's

not very impressive coat costume
Eh it’s from a school/college performance I think so wasn’t expecting much in the first place ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Aviva Lactermam they probably didn’t have the budget for amazing coat
@@catin63 You don't need lots of money to be creative..thrift stores, recycled clothing...

The coat from this exact show and all the costumes were actually nominated for an award.
