Just finished the season, and the terrors plan does make sense if you think about it like this: a giant man, with parody kryptonite in his body, sent to the city and then have one of his goons in the moth suit self destruct the vlm killing superion and hundreds of lives in the process. Convoluted, oh fuck yes, but still effective
I'm kinda hoping they bring Patrick Warburg on the show as Barry, the anti-hero Tick. As for the Terror's plan, I don't think it's about 'winning' but about causing chaos to cause improvement. Like when he's taking his drumming lessons with his teacher just screaming and bossing him around so that he could get better. He even tells Lint "you don't kill people because they call you names. You kill people because it's fun" which is a psychotic way of saying you don't do things because of other people's opinions, you do things because you want to.
I absolutely loved season one of The Tick. It had everything a fan could want and far more. It makes me so excited for what could come next and what will be the consequences of their actions in season one.

It was mainly just the two of them at first and then I decided to go to the biggest superhero capital in America, New York City. That was basically how it went into Comic since it was only just a two of them when they went cross-country from The City to New York. This of course happened in the comics after the main story arc was finished (issues #1-#6).
Jason Maes it would work with the TV show's tone to introduce Barry as the exact opposite of The Tick. You can say that Barry is the Batman to his Superman since the Tick is usually more of a do-gooder superhero that we've idolized since he is a lovable lug while Barry is a millionaire Playboy who just wants to fight crime just to fight and for the glory to a point that he goes insane doing it. He's already had enough mental problems to show that especially after his name was taken away both in the comics and the cartoon series. The comics did go a lot deeper to the point that The Tick end up getting all of Barry's accents, which included his Mansion, gadgets, his Butler, and his brain dead dog sidekick whom he experimented with for a lobotomy. You could say that Overkill is the combination between the Punisher, Batman, and Captain America as a commentary on dark anti-heroes in modern Comics or how comics change a well-known public hero into something darker just for the fad.

I had a bit of a mental hurdle that took me a few episodes to finally settle when it came to the final half of the season. That hurdle was understanding that the time between Arthur's mothnapping and The Gang working to retrieve him was only *ONE NIGHT* and not months. I loved this final half and thought it was just as good as the first. I *LOVED* The Terror in this and his reaction to Lint's flipping him off and escaping was great!
You forgotten about the ticks search for his identity which while didn't go somewhere concrete we did get a solid idea how important this is to the tick when he was heartbroken at not being a robot because at least it was something
I love this show! I wish we didn't have to wait a whole other year for more episodes though. They should adopt the Voltron schedule of delivering episodes. The humor is great, and it's also so heartfelt. It's so different from every other superhero show except maybe one punch man. No melodrama, or over annoying angst. Feels fresh

To be honest I never even tried this show. However after watching your review I want to watch it. Would it be okay for a 7 year old to watch it?? Want to start watching things with my daughter that don't involve My Little Ponies. And I stopped at 11:21 so thanx for the warning.
Hey, E-Rod here are some intresting ideas for Honest Reviews. 1. X-Men The Animated Series but in a much bigger length. 2. Wolverine and the X-Men. 3. Both Star Wars the Clone Wars and Rebels (yes. Although the landscape in the Clone Wars started to change in Season 2 in Season 3 it became the big turning point. It turned into from a toy commercial to a much more mature and respectable Star Wars series than all the new Star Wars movies are combined.) 4. Samurai Jack (all the Seasons.) 5. Avatar the Last Airbender (the series.) 6. Make a month dedicated to the Ben 10 series. 7. The Lord of the Rings. 8. Zootopia, Frozen and Moana.
Btw not getting the recognition from the public is kind of like one punch man where Saitama heroic antics are not noticed by the majority of the populace, but the hero doesn't care because the recognition is not what it's about.

I have a series for you I don't know if you've ever reviewed it but... check out the original Biker Mice from Mars TV series and give an honest review on that one. Then compare it to the reboot oh wait my bad "continued story" ugh.. now there's a challenge for you. And probably the only way for you to see the series is on UA-cam because that DVD format they tried selling it's so edited from the original series.

Warburg is too expressive to do a robot voice.
That drum scene should get more recognition for the Whiplash reference
