I still remember a video you made shortly after the trailer for season 5 dropped back at the end of 2015. You started out very composed before yelling out "Jack is back motherfuckers!" You pretty much said what every fan of the series was thinking. This show was truly a work of art and knew how to tell a story. It knew how to be funny but could also bring a tear to my eye if it wanted to. In "The Aku Infection" when Jack is becoming evil, we see all those he has helped helping him and it is a beautiful moment. On the other end, Jack vs Aku was hilarious as Aku has a mental breakdown when he can't find Jack's real sword. There was something there for everyone and like you, I always hoped that it would finish one day as it saddened me that Jack still hadn't returned to the past. Can't wait to see what you think of Season 5.

I said this in the comments of Nostalgia Critic's Suicide Squad review and I'll say it here. The clipless reviews are here to stay. They allow Doug and Eric to be creative with their content without having to deal with UA-cam's stupidly flawed copyright system. It also allows them to try new things and get better as creators and not fade into obscurity. Eric said it himself: he need to evolve or die. If you don't like these types of reviews, why not leave feedback in the comments (despite what many people believe, Doug and Eric do read comments)? Otherwise, it'd probably be better if you unsubscribe. Not saying you should do the latter, but both options are acceptable.
I honestly agree with you. Plus that way, they can skirt around the BS content-id claims by recreating the scenes themselves as best they can to show the audience what happened.

Personally Samurai Jack was one of the first animated shows I watched that really opened my eyes. To call it "anime" is insulting but at that time early 2000's it did encourage me to watch more anime. I didn't watch the series in order when it came out, last episode I watched Ironically was "The Boy and the Samurai" only later did I learn that was the final episode.

With you on jack's character that's why I enjoy characters like captain marvel/Shazam, superman, King Arthur, characters doing good for sake of doing good even if the world around doesn't understand that ideal.

You made a lot of good points, but the one I thought was the best was how Jack is a good "White Hat" hero. Sure, it's interesting to have anti-heroes once in a while, but people have gotten too lazy with them. It's like they try to make everyone into an anti-hero nowadays because, in the words of Dark Helmet, "good is dumb". It's nice to have a series where you can appreciate someone truly noble and selfless in a believable, engaging format.

He is in a state of depression, and nihilism. What is left after conquering all there is to conquer? Other than that unkillable samurai, who is just a reminder of your short-comings. Aku is essentially trapped in this state for a majority of the season. It is interesting, both him & Jack go through a mental crisis for a majority of the season.
The biggest story influence on Samurai Jack is Frank Miller's Ronin. (Genndy himself has said so.) And that being Jack's key influence? We don't ever need to see an "official" Ronin adaptation.
They say animation is expensive and I agree, it can be. However...if it's as pricey as people say. Then, how was Samurai Jack able to accomplish such greatness in animation with little to no use of computer graphics? Not everything has to be bouncy, silly and animated with Flash; talkin' about you, TTG. You CAN make hand-drawn animation and STILL not go over-budget. Hope Cartoon Network will realize this, before it's too late
My number one one-shot antagonist would be the ghost from Jack and the haunted house. He was even more evil than Aku who at least is funny. The ghost demon, wasn't funny!

Whether those people Jack gave up his timetravel opportunities to save would have been saved had he slayed Aku in the past depends on whether you subscribe split timeline theory or single timeline theory. Like... maybe that future ruled by Aku exists independently of the timeline that would result from Jack successfully slaying him in the past; and as such, those people in danger would stay in danger. That's one of the things I don't like about the 5th season- he went back in time without slaying Aku in the future.

It's easy 2 say after finishing the 2 Hotel Transylvania movies co-starring Selena Gomez as Mavis, Tartakovsky finally have the opportunity 2 return 2 Cartoon Network and revive Samurai Jack for the final time. I did not get 2 finish Samurai Jack as a kid on Cartoon Network because I stopped watching it for Nickelodeon showing more Rugrats for their third movie and started watching SpongeBob and The Fairly OddParents. I just could've kept watching Jack when it was already about 2 b cancelled but I still didn't finish it. Same for not finishing Danny Phantom or The Legend Of Korra.

The true moral of Samurai Jack by a production standpoint, as far as the existence of Season 5 shows, is to never lose hope.

Yes, but lucky a lot of Aku come from the writing so not everything is lost with the Aku in season 5.

I was born in this array and I loved it Samurai Jack and aviator the last air bender were my favorites.
