  • So this is the second part in the series Sewing machine restoration: Washing, Clearing, Polish.
To briefly explain what I used, the first part was washing the sewing machine housing, the yellow spray-on agent is for degreasing and cleaning stubborn dirt, it's great for aluminum, I also used regular dish detergent as well as a sanitary agent that has a very mild abrasion .
In the continuation of the washing of smaller parts, I also used dish detergent, sanitary agent that has a very mild abrasion, sponge, plastic brush, plain water. Rinsing is done in clean water, I used cold water because hot water interferes with my recording, warm water for rinsing is good because the parts dry quickly.
In the continuation of the cleaning video, I used a brass rotating brush, fine sandpaper (1500+), sewing machine oil, a rotating polishing brush with the corresponding paste.
It was not possible to show everything, there are a lot of small parts, in that case the video would last for hours.
This video is 75 minutes long and the playback speed is x2. Considering the complexity of the work, the video could not be shorter.!
See you at the assembly, thanks for watching and sharing.

Hi there. I have an old 830 Record. Broke a needle today, and now the bobbin is jammed. I dismantled the bobbin case, thinking it would be straightforward, removed the broken needle, but the machine is still jammed. I'm trying to find your video that shows reassembling the Bernina bobbin case. Can you please point me to it?

I'm not sure which part you removed, maybe it's the 'shuttle hook' complete with associated gear.??
I don't have that reassembly video, the machine can be stuck for many reasons, the most common cause is poor maintenance and infrequent lubrication of the machine, I recommend a service manual that might help you with your Bernina 830 Record:

Скажіть будь ласка скільки коштує така робота?

Це гарне питання, особисто я не роблю ні за чиї гроші, тому що це неоплачувана робота, мало хто готовий заплатити за повну реставрацію старої швейної машини, це складна робота, як і реставрація швейної машини. Годинник Rolex, можливо навіть складніше, я не можу сказати, скільки це коштує.??

      Answer in English:
That's a good question, I personally don't do it for anyone's money because it's an unpayable job, few people are ready to pay for the complete restoration of an old sewing machine, this is a complicated sewing machine like a Rolex watch, maybe even more complicated, I can't say how much it costs the whole restoration job, it costs a lot anyway.
Follow our channel and watch the third part: "Assembly of a sewing machine" produced in 1962.
      Best regards
