Taylor Swift released her Reputation album, and as you'd expect, it's stellar, but people still want to say there are some serious problems with it. I don't know about all of those, but in this video, I get into the heart of what this album means and what it's about. Taylor Swift hasn't really changed as much as you may think, and I'll explain how.

I feel like this album is underrated.

REPUTATION is wildly underrated, it is sooooooo good. Lyrically, production wise and just in every way some of her best body of work. Yeah some of her old songs are still stand outs but all the songs on Rep fit together, it's a darker, sexier and edgier version of 1989

She said in secret session that the nice things she took away from these people, was things like friendship, forgiveness, etc.

"The old Taylor is dead" was again a metaphor for the young naive girl has grown up, I've faced the harshness of the world and I've evolved but I haven't scarified myself for it.

Dancin with our Hands Tied is about her present relationship, not a past one (she said so in the Secret Session)

I remember seeing reviews about this album. It bothered me. They labeled it as “boring, repetitive, run of the mill pop music” or “trying too hard to be edgy and relatable”. Not only that, but they only talked about songs such as TIWWCHNT or LWYMMD. Reputation isn’t my favourite album, but it’s amazing and deserves more love. A lot more.

I'd say the tracks that she's released from the album are not necessarily the best ones from it. I'd give the album a 6/10. Still above average, but not her best.

Reputation is one of her best albums I’m not changing my mind. People need to stop trying to suffocate her into one genre

The "new taylor" vs "old taylor" thing was done very much on purpose. She knows she never really truly changed, it was a manufactured role she created to disarm listeners. Taylor has always had a very strong issue with the media and listeners not truly hearing the words she says. Blank space was complete satire to make fun of the crazy insane whore persona she was gifted with, and yet people still took it seriously and used it as evidence of her being nuts. What better way to get people to listen to you than by literally throwing that old persona that had been so badly tainted by throwing it out the window?

I think Dancing With Our Hands Tied is not about her ex. It's more about her current relationship. Two people who love each other but with the world against them trying to ruin the love.

I love that the album is messy, but in a way that feels calculated. Idk, I just love that. I just really love this album 😂 (also, getaway car is a masterpiece)

How is “dress” a purely sexual song? It is a song about LOVE that has it all: friendship, respect, good sex, it is a song about true, perfect love.

i donno why people hate on dress .like yess tge main part is about sex but it's not like every other pop sex song out there about how they just want to have sex. it has a lot of good lyrics and the production and the instrumental in the background really makes you feel more comfortable
