Nice to hear from you after a long time. It is a shame that you are moving to a different car after fixing and patching the motor. I was following all of your modifications on MK4 and I love that car. Unfortunatelly I had a major car accident on Friday (2.2.2024) and my MK4 can't be repaired. Thankfully, it is a huge Ford and everybody are okay. So I'm looking for a new car too. I hope that you will make a video about your new car (probably MK5) and I can still follow your modifications there :) good luck :)
After one year of owning a 1.8TDCI MK4, I can confirm that these cars are money pits. It's quite an interesting car, I manage 6.5 L/100 KM city and 4.4/100 km (sometimes even 4.0 driving below 100) highway. Looking for a Toyota Aygo petrol (yeah, I'm going full 180)
You should've bought a 2.5T mk4 mondeo instead of the mk5. Im also driving a 2.5T (the mighty 5 cylinder volvo engine) and i love it to bits i bought it with 160k km now i have 250k km in it without any issue and not to mention the burbling sound of the 5 pot is just makes it more crazy cuz you would not expect a mondeo to sound like that. You will have a lot more issues with mk5 than with the mk4
