Yes I do decorate for the 4th it makes me feel proud to be an American and the colors mean so much for our freedom, The flag is a beautiful piece of our history and it makes you feel so good inside. Specially in this day and age when we have so much hate.
The picture of your dogs viewing the deer is just precious! This video was perfection. I would have needed a pickup truck most likely to get home with all the treasures I saw, lol! Enjoyed this trip thoroughly, thank you so much.
When I find brass, silver or copper pieces, I shine them up and they turn out gorgeous.
Those goodwills were full on those days. You captured some great items. I love how sweet your little dogs just sit and watch the deer. ❤

As a teacher of children I am all about patriotism and those holidays associated with it. Go for it ...and make it glamorous!
I add a few patriotic decor items a week before the 4th of July and leave up for a couple of weeks. Thought of you a couple weeks while at Goodwill when I found two vintage silhouettes of a young girl which are now hung with the silhouettes I have of my mom and dad.
I do 4th of July decor starting at Memorial Day until the 4th. I try to focus on legit vintage items or everyday that can be interpreted as patriotic

I tend to decorate with patriotic decor for about a month; from Memorial Day through Flag Day through the 4th of July. Then I change it up for my summer decor....this year is lemons and sunflowers.
The opening this video of your dog's and deer was priceless! I love your brass swans you have them decorated so nice it all flows together. You did a great job filming I can see everything even the prices. Thanks for sharing endless thought's and ideas.

Your goodwill has so many nice pieces. I live in the middle of probably one of the most reseller area and antique collectors of the country. So ours is always picked clean of the good stuff.
I do patriotic decor for June and July, adding in the 4th of July items such as flags, Holly Hobbie plates for a week or 2 then go back to more of a red and blue theme with summery items. My house has lots of blue any way. Great video. Love how you style things!

Yes I do decorate for the 4th. Most of my family was military and the 1 brother who wasn’t his favorite holiday was the 4th, he passed a year ago so I’m doing more these days, my fathers flag remains on my roll top desk all year long and is always the centerpiece when I decorate for Memorial Day and the 4th.

I do patriotic decor from about a week before Memorial day through the 4th. I use red and blue books, pillow covers, and a tablescape with red and blue transferware. Not over the top, just sprinkled in with my other decor.
I just do a little Patriotic decor from Memorial day to July 4th. This was a strange video for me. I loved everything, but I saw so many identical things that I had that I had donated. Maybe I should have kept them as they're now back in style. You never know. I always see so many things on your videos that I want.

Red and navy are my favorite colors, so yeah, lol. If and when I start decorating again it will go up and stay up 🤣 I used to have a lot of Americana regular decor when my house was all prim. You got some nice little goodies this time.

May, June, July and August are Red, White and Blue mixes. Sept and October fall into November then Christmas. Then clean until Spring!

Be on the lookout for an "adult" brass swan. I have an adult and cygnet set so the big ones are definitely out there.
I like Americana decor from Memorial Day through the 4th, then take a break till fall decor goes up.
I put up my red, white, and blue decor around the 25th of May and take it down in mid-August and then I put up autumn.

My husband and I have a pair of brass swans like the ones you purchased. They were his grandmother's. I pair them together over the kitchen sink. We put our watch, rings on them when we wash dishes. Fun find.

i cannot get over how cheap your goodwill is! in kansas, they sell dollar tree items for $3-$4! your store reminds me of one in conroe, texas i visited once.
One of the stores is usually fairly priced but the one in Conroe is higher! That’s one that I visit sometimes.

I’m not so into the red white and blue too. When I had my own place, I didn’t decorate for Fourth of July. Never got into it, although I used to own some president cookie cutters like you found. Fireworks scare me, the loud noises 😂 I’m no so patriotic unfortunately

Okay so how did you get your dogs to not go after the deer? We live out in the country and when we have deer on our land the dogs bark and charge them. Darn! You came across several beautiful items on your shopping trips! Loved seeing them.😊❤
Oh They do charge after them and right after that video I turned my head for a second and next thing I know one of the deer was walking right up to them and they went after it but their tie ups stopped them eventually! They get in trouble so they are getting a little better!
I’m new here ! I love thrifting too and I think we are around the same age. Some of those framed pieces were beautiful ! I can’t believe that framed intaglio you picked up was there ! I know I’ve seen those sell for over a hundred. And I loved the oval portrait of the boy with the dog ! I don’t really decorate for the 4th either. I do hang some bunting flags across my front porch but that’s about it. How do I find your eBay store ?
