Yay! So glad you guys finally got to start your kitchen garden. I just threw some seedlings and some bought seedlings, into the raised beds today! It makes you feel so accomplished. I just love seeing how excited you guys are. 😂🍅🥒🌶🥕🌽
I'm so happy to see you working in your kitchen garden. The merry golds and nasturtium are great tk intermingle with tomatoes and other veggies that will get rid of white fly and other pests. So thrilled for you .❤
When I move I am making some raised beds for vegetables. Right now I am only growing flowers but once I get more land I can do veggies and I love your kitchen garden idea. I am growing strawberries and tomatoes in pots :)
you've got a big job with planting a new garden but be aware, you're in Texas now so your mindset on growing will change from what you've been used to. As a fellow Texas gardener, be mindful that marigolds here tend to attract spider mites in summer. They're wonderful during our colder months though. And, nasturtium are cool season plants so they tend to fizzle out during the heat of summer. You might want to consider Zinnas? They do wonderfully all summer and attract beneficial. Just some thoughts to consider from a fellow Texas gardener. 😊
Thank you so much! It’s going to take some used to it’s a big change. We did order zinnias so I’m going to plant more. Thank you again we truly appreciated. 🙏💐💚💚💚💚💚💚
There is something about getting your hands in the dirt that does your soul 😌 good. You both are such a joy to watch growing on your new land. I planted a lot of tomatoes this week also. I am hoping to make my own salsa, soup, spaghetti sauce, pizza sauce, etc.
The raised beds are just wonderful! You can't have too many tomatoes and peppers; at our house, we practically drink salsa but they freeze beautifully as well. I got my new Vego hose hooked up and discovered I'd earned enough rewards points to have Tractor Supply deliver my Espoma mulches and soils. Y'all are an inspiration...I'm almost wanting a rose or two. I planted herbs this evening.
That’s awesome!!! That is really great! So happy for you. 😃 We didn’t know Tractor Supply could deliver Espoma you are all set up! We have been enjoying using the Vego hope the same for you. It’s been much easier going around the garden watering. Sane here salsa it’s like drinking it 😂. Love how much fun you are having. Happy gardening our garden friend! 🤗💐💚💚💚💚💚💚💚 You must have roses 😉💐
The lavender is already popping in the back👏🏽
Looks good, ya'all! 😊

I love flowers in grow bags!!!! You could put them anywhere
A super fun way to grow flowers! 😃🌸💚
I wish we loved humidity as much as our plants do 😊
Just put seeding in a bigger pot and then you can take your time..❤❤❤❤
