    Beautiful leaves and I will definitely be purchasing the molds. I was curious as to why it takes a week for the gum paste to set? That seems rather long. I’ve had fondant dry hard within a couple of hours when I worked at a bakery.

    What's the difference between fondant and "gum paste"?

  • @rosejanet4066
    @rosejanet4066 4 роки тому +1

    Yeah....I think the airbrushing step wasn’t really needed, but still pretty nonetheless! Airbrush definitely optional........

    Are the leaves 🍁 soft or hard ?

  • @ladymsoaps

    why airbrush them they were much prettier with just the fondant colors.

      "Of course you don't have to airbrush them... leave them 'as is' but airbrushing really brings out these beautiful vibrant colors in those leaves."
      Laurie, 2015.

    Super! But did she say vines when she meant veins?

      +Brenda Nelson Lol!!! Yes I certainly did! I didn't realize until I uploaded. :)

    I don’t like the word “edible” in cake decorating because it’s always code for “tastes unpleasant but you can do art with it & it won’t poison you”. Also it’s “veins” not “vines” but they’re very cute

    How long would I be able to store these? Or can I not store them at all?

    • @TheIcingArtist
      @TheIcingArtist  8 років тому +2

      +Karl Fulgencio you could store these for months. Just make sure they are covered so they dont get dust on them. Do not put them in a plastic container or the humidity will melt them. :)

      +The Icing Artist Thanks for the reply and the tip! I didn't know about the plastic container.

    I've always been taught and told ghat gum paste is not edible, hmmmmmm . Mind is blown.

    • @TheIcingArtist
      @TheIcingArtist  8 років тому +2

      +FIVE HATHCOCKS Hmm thats odd. I am from Canada, we have two products here. One is gumpaste the other is tylose powder that can be added to fondant to give it gumpaste like properties. Both of those products are edible.

    • @plfcowgirlval
      @plfcowgirlval 5 років тому

      How much tylose powder do you use? Thanks!

    I don’t see the point of painting the leaves!!!! Why use colored fondant paste in that case???? No use!
