    If the last one was at a fast food place, I’d telling him to take his time because I get paid by the hour.

    That is why I look up a menu data before i go to a restaurant, even one I have been to before.

    I once took the menu from a person who couldn't decide and then walked them through their options: Do you want breakfast, lunch, or dinner? Lunch. Okay. Do you want a salad, a sandwich, or a burger? Took me a few minutes but it was still faster than waiting while he dithered over the menu choices.

    Awwww, a tip for the last guy - order similar to what other people did at your table. In this case, a Cobb salad. Those are so good, too. ❤

      He should get the name of the restaurant before hand and look up the menu.

      @@OraC6666 - that’s another good example. If you do that, give yourself a few options you’d want as they might be discontinued.

    You want to mock someone having a panic attack? Fail. It's one thing to point out foibles, but it's another to mock someone for something they can't control.

    • @weefiah1
      @weefiah1 3 місяці тому +4

      They can look at the menu online before hand and have someone else order for them. There are ways to overcome this issue. But the real kicker is, he was asked if he needed more time, which he clearly did. Take up that offer if you need a moment to collect yourself. It’s not a big deal. What is a big deal is wasting that servers time and holding the server hostage. Server has others to attend to, it’s not all about the one person who can’t function in public. And there are the ones who brought out the non functioning human. Shame on you!!! If you know they can’t function properly on occasion HELP THEM OUT OR LEAVE THEM AT HOME where they may actually want to be in the first place.

      @@weefiah1 or, in the moment, if someone is literally floundering in front of you, have a little compassion? I realize the joke is supposed to be what he'd LIKE to say but doesn't, but if your instinct is to mock or belittle someone in stress because they're inconveniencing you, that says all I need to know about you.

    Seriously!!! Why do people go into a restaurant and take forever to order when it’s their turn? I don’t have time for your panic attack while there are customers piling up behind you because all you can say is, “Uhhhhh,” after having looked at the menu for 20 minutes!!! Order online.

    This is sad. Being mean to children who may be feeling overstimulated in a noisy place, and a paying customer who is struggling to decide under pressure is just mean, not funny. Anyone who can't be a bit patient, have some empathy, a give people the benefit of the doubt, get out of customer service. There is a huge difference between someone giving you a hard time and someone having a hard time.

    • @zakosist
      @zakosist 3 місяці тому

      Kinda agree, the child could be struggling, especially if they have something like autism and may have sensory issues, or they have anxiety. But I think the costumer searching the meny should have just told the waiter they need some time to look, and then they can go elsewhere in the meantime and come back. And thats the normal practice every time I have been to a restaurant

    • @donnawestbrook8992
      @donnawestbrook8992 3 місяці тому +2

      @@zakosist sure, it might be ok for a server to excuse themselves to come back for someone's order, and sometimes one person at that table is pressing to eat quickly. A patron can have anxiety, or just feel put on the spot and blank momentarily. Pressure and snark never helps.
