      mine is only on the previews you know how you stop on the movie and then it used to show you audio and a quick skit of what that movie consists of well the audio is no longer there then they try to make it seem like I lost my mind and tell me that they never had that really Disney 😀 I even have a video proof of the previews with audio SMH

    If disney+ is running on your android box but u got no sound do this:
    1.select movie
    2.start download (wait 10sec. It has Download some mb, not that much)
    3. Stop download "pause" it.
    4. Play movie SOUND WORKS!!!
    I try so many fixes without succes
    THIS helped me 100%with my android box A95xF3.

    I have the same issue with Chinese Android box. Right now the only way to get sound is download the show or movie. As soon as you start to download just hit play and you will have sound. Delete the show or movie when done.

      I took the box to another tv and the disney+ sound worked as normal ! It could be a compatibility issue between Soniq tv and disney+ app

      @@AKTECH2222 I performed this workaround when i hit download then pause the download when i hit play i get audio. Not sure why it does this, but its definitely annoying. Weird thing is an older box on my other tv works

      @@AKTECH2222 Disney+ wouldn't install on my box so I used the method to install it from 3 split files which got it working but with no audio.
      To fix this I had to go into the box's settings and turn off auto configure when it comes to sound and select/turn on all the audio codecs.
      This made sound work properly for me.
      My Box is a x88 king box the firmware isn't perfected yet.

      Steve Francis when you are about to play a movie or show there will be a download option. Once it starts quickly pause the download and try again

    I don't know if anyone suggested that: Try to set the sound settings in your TV from Bitstream to PCM output. This seems like the typical problem in decoding the Dolby signal.

    I had that problem. I went into sound settings and turned up dolby sound up to 100% and I got sound. Hope this works for you. (tv and android box)

    Same problem exists today. However, 12/2020 update. It turns out to be owner operator. I adjusted the Dolby settings! Try checking every doble setting. Solved the problem in seconds .

      The same is happening with my h96 pro plus. When I use Disney hotstar plus , then suddenly sound goes out and when I pause video and again play, it comes but again after some time , sound goes out. Now when I play the applications like amazon prime etc. , the sound goes and to make the system sound working , I reset the h96 pro plus and again install the apps except hotstar disney plus and sound is working fine. Hotstar disney plus creating problem in sound. Unable to find solution. If any one found please share.

    Got it to work... I cleared out all app data -> uninstalled the app -> shut down the tv -> took the power cord out of socket -> reinstalled power -> reinstalled the app ... Everything works.... At least for some time 😁

    I have done a hard restart on my TV and that works all the time sometimes I just turn off the TV and put it back on and then the sound magically appears

      Big Ed this happens all the time on new Sony tvs. They have gone from nest tvs to rubbish so fast.

      You have to do a soft reset and the if it doesn't work do a hard reset

    I cant get 5.1 surround from disney+ only stereo. All other apps and tv works just fine. But not disney+ :(

    Has anyone been able to get the sound going? I just signed up and downloaded and i get no audio with disney+ and now i dont get it via hulu either (i did before). This is so damn frustrating

      The audio setting has to be changed to Dolby digital because most disney plus movies are in 5.1 surround sound and if you dont have it set to surround sound the sound won't work

    Sound was working just fine through our Disney+ app on our Sony Android TV, when suddenly the sound stopped working. We uninstalled the app from the TV, re-installed it, unplugged the TV, plugged it back in, and sound started working again.

    Not sure if you found the solution but I have instead of using English description what you can do is download the movie but you don't have to download the whole movie you can pause it from downloading once it's downloading and you posit if you don't want to keep it it'll play 100%

      Not sure how you are downloading the movies. The only options I have in the disney+ app is play and info.

    I know that this might sound stupid, but if you have some weird things happening with the Sony tv try unplugging it. If you unplug it for a minute, it goes through a hard reset when you plug it back in. That may fix any issues you come across. Unfortunately I had to do this twice for separate occasions: google assistant (couldn’t hear my voice) and volume (specifically on all applications)

    Was able to get mine to work on my android tv box by installing the latest version 1.4.1 and then going into Settings > Sound > Surround and set that from Auto to Always. Everything I've played since has worked. Prior I only could get sounds out of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse as well.

    Just started watching Dr strange last night on my Samsung TV with the android app or whatever is built into the TV. And after 20 mins it just said fuck off no audio for you! It's still broken but I'll look for an update is it auto or under settings somewhere?

      I just fixed it by restarting the android system since my software was updated. It didn't reset itself when you turn off the TV it seems.

      Entertainment android TV box TV8 just installed using the same process as Greenstone, no sound. Went into the box sound settings, under Digital sounds, set this to SPDIF RAW, then on the ENTERTAINMENT BOX interface go to the SOUND OUTPUT Icon & put a tick against AUTO. I've now got full sound.

    It is about the audio drivers on some android boxes. My Beelink has some audio problems due to the codecs are not there for sound for some sources because of copyrights. I found that I could play some video files that had no sound if I played them on the Kodi video player. I linked my android apps to include Disney+ so they would load from Kodi
    and "voila" now Disney+ has audio because it is playing through the Kodi app. which has the codec. I know this will no work for everyone (like Google TV) but it will allow sound on Disney+ (using the android .apk version) once the app is loaded through Kodi.     Hi all,
    Right I have a sound bar and optical to a sound system, I found the sound did not work on most apps like Disney+ and Amazon prime, how ever I did do a reconfiguration to sound options on the TV, I went to sound settings then to expert setting then on the HDMI input audio format I set it to bitstream then to digital output audio format to PCM this did and still dose work for me on a 2019 samsung tv hope this helps

      Come ha suggerito bigv5150 se scarichi un video e lo inizi a guardare l'audio torna. Si vede che il problema è proprio il codec di streaming.

    This might help, had same problem, only way round it was to hit download instead of play, wait until this has started and then press play. It will now play from the downloaded stream with the audio and video combined. Tried this on several devices and it works as long as you have internal storage. You can easily delete the download after to free up the space on your storage. Not ideal but works. Hope that helps Some of you

      I wanted to try that, but I can't because my android tv box had "insufficient space" whilst it actually has lots. i even got to download other apps without no problem, so there was no insufficient space issue for real.. but it still says it anyway

    Had the same issue on my Sony Bravia, I just updated the Disney plus app, disconnected the power from the T.V and rebooted the T.V and sound came back.

    Disney plus plays in 5.1 surround sound and if you dont have it set you wont hear sound

    I unplugged my tv from the power all together for like a min and plugged it back in so when i turn the tv on it took longer to turn on and then i went back on to disney plus and now i have sound again so just ad to rest the tv sometime i think you need to unplugged it every ones in a while to reset it

    Not sure if people tried this, but the app is not good on android tv, yet. Try cast from your phone or other casting device to the android tv. All sound worked perfect for me. If having trouble with other apps try cast from device to android tv, should hopefully work! Android tv still relatively new, hope they iron these issues very quickly or the android tv will go down the toilet!

    Reboot on TV and unplugged power cable. Restarted and working fine.

    my audio is out on the previews the movies that I am strolling along to decide which one to watch is the preview of each movie Disney trying to make me seem like I have lost my mind.. when you stop on the movie it always showed a skit/preview with sound of that movie now it no longer has sound but it still shows the skit/preview with no sound how crazy is that and she's telling me they never had that I watch Disney almost everyday always had preview with audio I say we all get together and do a class action lawsuit after all we were paying for this and now they're trying to insult our intelligence to say they didn't have this or to say that these features are no longer there and what do we paying for how about reducing the price then if we can't hear but we could see it what good is that class action lawsuit in the making right here too many people complaining about this

    the mecool km9 is google certified, and its touch even tv on android tv, its nothing to do with certification, the problem is disney + application, they put that 5.1 sound suround on recent content, old content there is sound, as long as disney does not put the stereo sound everywhere or a setting to force the stereo sound the sound problem will continue

      ok i did a little bit of investigation and tried ALL the proposed solutions. The problem is the audio codec. When you stream the audio codec is different from when you download a movie. Instead if you begin downloading and then you click play, you will see the downloaded movie, not the streamed one. That's why you can hear audio if you begin downloading a film

    If you are not getting any sound for Disney , go to to speakers and change to TV speakers. It worked for me after getting no sound.

    I went into the app settings and set wifi data usage in safe data. I don't know why, but that's how it worked for me, on an android TV box ... and to say that I don't use it, via wifi, but with an ethernet cable ...

      THIS WORKED FOR ME! Disney and Amazon Prime’s sound/audio were not working at all. Amazon Prime’s video was very glitchy and skipping frames. After reading the comments I tried to restart by holding the power on my Sony Bravia. I didn’t realize it until the system rebooted that the sound clicks (up down left right buttons on the remote) were NOW working. In addition, both the Disney and Amazon Prime apps work. Thank you for this video and this comment. Back to my show.. :D

    Alr look y’all if you on Xbox for me how it work was go to setting and audio click it and it would show “mono output” check it or click it and boom you have the voice audio and sound audio! I don’t know about PlayStation but hope this will help y’all if y’all on console

    Try unplugging it for a minute 60 seconds then Plug it back in. Don’t shut off the tv before you unplug it leave it on.

    Hi not sure if you fixed your sound or not but I had the same problem. The only thing that worked was using my old Roku and setting it up on my android tv.

    Use Bluetooth outside speakers. Not all TV supports audio on same hadmi

    A workaround that worked for me:
    1. Press the play button
    2. Switch the input to another source
    3. Switch back and the sound works as long as you don't press pause again.
    4. If you pause repeat previous steps.
    My surround sound is deactivated and digital setting is PCM

    Set HDMI input audio format to PCM
    Set Digital Output Audio Format to PCM

      @@DavidXCanary in my case only films not have sounds, kids movies work fine. Our trick to start to download is a succes but the movie has to stay in the download list. I have an android box m8s with version 1.4.1 installed from apk. Thank very much my daughter started to be crazy

      @@AKTECH2222 the mecool km9 is google certified, and its touch even tv under androidtv and its nothing to do with that, the problem is disney + point application, they put that 5.1 sound suround on recent content, old content there there is sound, as long as disney does not put the stereo sound everywhere or a setting to force the stereo sound the problem of sound will continue

    Go to your audio settings and see if you have a surround sound feature, set it to always, it'll work after. That's how I fixed it.

    We had the Disney+ audio issue happen to us yesterday. What worked for us was holding the power but on the remote control for 5 secs to reset on our Sony Android TV and now the audio works on Disney+! (Netflix was also having issues loading and this fixed it.)

      EDG DVS that happened to me too when it launched. The simpsons had no sound but the Mickey Mouse clubhouse did. I’m like “what’s going on?”

      @@TheDel4873 because some content doesnt use their 5.1 atmos audio. This is the audio we are having trouble with. And Im not buying a super expensive high end device to get this to work. Disney needs to loosen their ^$%^& buttcheeks and ease their over the top drm restrictions and add some damn stereo sound options for those of us that have mid range devices.

    Physically unplug the main electrical source (from wall) or behind TV.. and will work againz
    the power on/off of the remote will not reset the app/device of your smart TV.
    I mucked with all audio setting and this was the simple solution.
