    Firstly loving these videos, really informative! Is there a minimum age you’d recommend before you introduce a slip lead to a cocker? Many thanks

    It would be nice if you could do these in a part 1, sit. (For example.) Part 2 heel, etc etc etc…
    Should these be done in any particular order?

    Did you explain what lead you were using ? Slip lead presumably?

    • @MordorGundogs22
      @MordorGundogs22  Рік тому

      It was a slip lead indeed, they will be used in almost all videos

      @@MordorGundogs22 I’ve been using the slip but it has a slider which I used. But it stops it slipping so I guess it’s wrong to use it? Also I used the figure of 8 around the nose which got a heel immediately. But he hates it obviously. I just need to walk 200m to the park and can’t drive it. So the nose slip on the slip lead helps reinforce a heel walk. But I take it off in the park. And try the training on long lead etc. I don’t feel my environment will allow me letting him off for one second. Cars lots of dogs off lead kids etc. That work I have to do in garden or elsewhere a drive away. Which is twice a week. With covid dogs the numbers of massively increased. It’s hard to find dog free space and even harder to find un triggered dogs. My poor puppy has been barked at so much that he’s terrified of dogs now

    Could you please teach how to get a dog to stop jumping on people?

      @@MordorGundogs22 are there videos as he grows between 4 and 6 months? It would help me to follow them as my pup is 4.5 weeks. A springer but similar principles I presume. It’s very helpful to watch your videos. Actually doing the work rather than talking about it which lots of other trainers do. Yours are practical and easier to follow. Thanks.

      Just brilliant. Your training has resonated as it’s a puppy the same age as ours and isn’t perfect!! Which helps! It behaves like ours! I like to see that. As ownership of a gun dog puppy is overwhelming at times ….🤫
