I live in this town, and the majority of the townsfolk are nice people. To be fair to Mr Heygate, he probably didn’t realise what you were doing, and if he had, I’m sure that he would have been more obliging.
Great video to the usual high DJ standards. My only concern is how the interaction looks with three auditors conversing with Mr Heygate. It arguably looked like an ambush and I think this is always a risk with audits with more than one person. I realise people have raised this issue before, but I think with a private business (rather than a police station, say or a council office) there is a risk of audit 'overkill'. It is more how it would look to someone not familiar with auditing and the risk of an own goal has to be considered. Auditors must maintain the moral high-ground and consent of the public. Great work though from DJ, PJ and AJ 🙂👍.
Have to say I agree DJ. Love your vlogs and always very insightful and interesting and educational but I do prefer when it is just you and not a couple of other auditors as well. Mr Heygate may have been more accommodating with 1 auditor. Brilliant work and keep it up, I will get a key ring one day if you don’t run out! 🤷🏽♂️😂
That mess will be Network Rail not Heygates, those are bags of ballast (The stones that the track sits on). The access road by the way I think Network would also use it to get to the gate onto the track. Important to remember trespass on railway property is an actual Criminal offence not civil, lots of old shcool by-laws come into play on the railway.
My Heygate is a funny fellow. If you asked him why he doesn't want you filming I bet he couldn't give you a good reason. Probably thinks you're going to tell the Germans.
Sorry to say but this was a really bad audit. The guy looked like an honest hardworking guy and you show up harassing him with your assistants surrounding him and aggressively challenging him. He remained professional throughout although was understandably frustrated with people trespassing. He is not a bad guy he is just raised in a different generation. Not everyone can be expected to know the ins and outs of drone laws. You need to do a follow up and apologise to this guy.
Mr Heygate was a gentlemen to you lot even when you're on his land and he's probably a very busy man, old man. Stop trying to paint negative pictures of places that have been there for generations employing local people. You asked the ex employee what he didn't like about the place and then had the audacity to tell Mr Heygate you were trying to make a positive video. Absolutely embarrassing all around. Have a long look in the mirror.
@@TheSadButMadLad I think, on balance, the balance of comments on this page proves exactly what I was saying. Furthermore, trespass is a civil offence and all three were trespassing. It was legally, socially and morally acceptable to remove them. If they were causing distress to the owner at the same time, it would also be harassment or bullying. With bullying or harassment, it is ‘their’ opinion that matters as the ‘auditor’ entered ‘their’ property. Are you saying you think it’s acceptable for the three people to go onto private land, with cameras, and start asking questions to staff in an operating business? Someone pays for their time?
@@irisaviation852 The comments on this prove there's a load of lefty snowflakes, defending a man who is clearly a pretentious, pompous, snob, who would no doubt own slaves if it was still legal, and most likely goes against everything they vote for. I worked as a mechanic for Heygates 1984 - 1996. I was at the Northants Mill, but did visit Downham a few times to work on the lorries, plant vehicles and fork lifts, and to deliver vehicles sometimes. They were appalling on health and safety when i first started. Contact with all sorts of toxic substances as a mechanic and fabricator. No masks is a particular one i remember when cleaning asbestos brakes and clutches.. It wasn't just Heygates though. Poor health and safety was the norm in most UK workplaces. However, during my time there, things drastically improved. They made a big effort to up the standard and it certainly looks okay today, albeit only from your outside footage. I also got sent into the tankers to clean them. Again, often no proper masks available decades ago. I'm sure it contributed to the breathing issues i have today, though it's not too bad. In retrospect, they were a good company to work for if you did the job for them. They have things like a great pension scheme. I didn't contribute that much, but it's worth a significant amount today and fared much better than a private one i had. I thought you were a bit hard on Bob Heygate. After all, it is his duty to protect the business for the benefit of all who work there and millions of people fed by the products made with their flour. You sounded a bit like you were mocking to me. I was appalled that you flew a drone over it. There's always a risk the drone could have crashed. Flour dust is very explosive and one spark in the wrong place could see the whole mill go up. It was very irresponsible.
Love your videos but I must point out that when you do them with other auditors I side with the business owner, you are the best in the business DJ, your manner, interaction and content is always spot on, but when other auditors chip in it comes accross like you are bullying people which is not what auditing should be about. I switched off in sympathy when pj and the other auditor started engaging with Mr Heygate.
DJ, you might explain to suspicious managers and guards that your UA-cam viewers are mainly big kids that are still fascinated by heavy equipment. Others are interested in old and new industries. Some are researchers in industry-community relations, and some of find all of it quite interesting and entertaining--especially DJ's work.
I really prefer you doing vlogs on your own. Not nearly so enjoyable to watch with multiple auditors and not good for the place you visit. If you had been on your own it would have had a different outcome.
8:30 you’ve already upset this wise old man and now your just taking the piss at this point. Yeah you can legally fly over his business and record but it’s clearly causing him distress, take a hint man
Mr Heygate is clearly a hardworking, respectable man, and gets subjected to this nonsense. Although he can't stop you filming from the public highway, I'm sure he would have appreciated to have been approached before filming began. We all know your videos are about 'auditing' primarily, and 'industry' is further down the list. I'm fairly sure when the law was created about filming in public places, they never intended for people to go about filming industrial units and police stations trying to catch folk out and generally get right up their noses. But the law is the law. My sympathy goes to Mr Heygate.
Feel a bit sorry for the owner, who didn't understand the benefits of cooperation. But it does highlight the need to make the general public aware of their rights.
I like this guy, but i dont like that he so freely goes onto private property, even if there is no signage - it kinda loses some of the moral high ground for me
19:45 - DJ knows his lorries 🤩 ! I would agree and suggest the yellow one is a Bedford TL (approx. early 80's)- I think this one is (was) actually a horsebox in it's former glory - the wooden side just about holding on 🤕. The white one looks like a Leyland DAF Roadrunner (possibly F. reg - late 80's). The red one being another DAF or IVECO ?! I'll put my anorak away...🚚
If you were on your own DJ I’m sure Mr Heygate would have been much more reasonable. Ganging up with PJ isn’t the way forward & that random guy in the wheel chair lol
There's nothing wrong with PJ, he does his auditing with humour and respect. A collab just muddles up the video when all auditors are filming. Nobody knows who's taking the lead and it ends up a free for all.
Mr Heygate wasn't prepared to listen and the Hi-Viz fella must be great for a chat over a pint at the pub. One thing I noticed was a the large stone sunk into the ground on the corner of the old building to prevent wheels from damaging the corner. Used to see them on every corner in the old terraced streets.
It’s not often I stick up for people on the other side. He in all honesty is stuck in the past where you earn respect. However you do it to protect the freedoms we have and I agree he could have handed it differently.
I loved it but must agree that if having a conversation one is enough, but the request by the owner to have you go to reception although reasonable is not needed if you are not trespassing and despite his assertions he still would not have been happy

DJ, I have noticed your videos are not the same when you do them with other people, I know for a fact you would of went straight to the reception and announced yourself like you usually do, then it would of been a much different experience for you, the owner probably would of give you a look around and would of been a bit more welcoming. you tend to drift off from your normal routine and procedures when accompanied. Nothing against PJ and co, or yourself, its just a observation I have come to notice.

I really want to know DJ if grain is washed before it turns into flour. I see dirty exhaust diesel fumes blowing over hay fields along the sides of motorways and I always wonder if it's cleaned before use. It's now one in two that gets cancer so I always think could diesel particulates be part of the problem. I guess is it doesn't get washed because the grain is porous. It's like fish eating plastic particles it can end up on our plates in some form.
Interesting comment. I don't know if you've seen recent studies but even the fish at the bottom of some of the deepest depth studies have micro plastics inside their bodies. It's everywhere now I'm afraid
@@fishingdandan4788 cancer rates are flying so I thought I would start looking at modern changes. If you look at a bar chart cancer really started to multiply when microwaves started to be mass sold. Does the radiation leave the food after you have nuked it. I say it’s dangerous. Cancer rates also shot up after the mass sales of dishwashers they never rinse properly leaving poisonous tablet sediment on our drinking glasses etc. Add these to the micro plastics problem and increased diesel particles in our grain and I think we have something. Has anyone ever thought of these things? I forgot one last thing antibiotics and drugs given to cows. My answer is don’t use microwaves to dangerous. You are far better yourself DJA ( and it should stay like that )...but with the other 2, it was ott, and Mr Haygates was quite right to question you, and he was polite too, and you 3 just antagonised him more, and should of said thank you and walked away. Not a good audit on this occasion.
you literally walked onto his land but deny it even with video evidence wtf
where did he walk onto the Heygate land? in this video. Time stamp please

Sometimes you are a duck head, bothering this old man for no reason and pushing his buttons. Why are you putting members of the public under stress for. Hes clearly distressed and wants you off his land. Smh
I agree. I am normally on my own as you know but when we do meet up I will pay more attention to this intimidating perception ❤️

@@DJAUDITS ok thanks for answering my query
Much as I like PJ, your audits and interactions are 100% better when you are on your own.
I agree with the previous two comments. A cross examination is not a kind way to have a conversation.
Mr Heygate is perfectly reasonable .... you are just wasting his time
They didn't ask him to come and interrupt their lawful activities
@@ftw1540 You mean the activities they undertook purely to get a reaction out of him?
If he was so busy why even come out barking orders and demanding who they were?
That mess will be Network Rail not Heygates, those are bags of ballast (The stones that the track sits on). The access road by the way I think Network would also use it to get to the gate onto the track. Important to remember trespass on railway property is an actual Criminal offence not civil, lots of old shcool by-laws come into play on the railway.
My Heygate is a funny fellow. If you asked him why he doesn't want you filming I bet he couldn't give you a good reason. Probably thinks you're going to tell the Germans.
Amazing to think nearly 1,000 years ago there were Vikings coming up that river, they weren't invited either.
Doubtful as that stretch of the ouse is a man made relief channel that was constructed between 1954 to 1964.
DJ your content is far better when your on your own. 3 off you on 1 and all talking over each other is intimidating.
💯 and when I’m alone I don’t wear the mask which is also a big ❌
Sorry to say but this was a really bad audit. The guy looked like an honest hardworking guy and you show up harassing him with your assistants surrounding him and aggressively challenging him. He remained professional throughout although was understandably frustrated with people trespassing. He is not a bad guy he is just raised in a different generation. Not everyone can be expected to know the ins and outs of drone laws. You need to do a follow up and apologise to this guy.
What a lovely man Mr Heygate is. You guys turning up mob handed is an own goal in this nothing video. It’s the last one I watch. I’m out
Mr Heygate was a gentlemen to you lot even when you're on his land and he's probably a very busy man, old man. Stop trying to paint negative pictures of places that have been there for generations employing local people. You asked the ex employee what he didn't like about the place and then had the audacity to tell Mr Heygate you were trying to make a positive video. Absolutely embarrassing all around. Have a long look in the mirror.
Ahhh yeah the irony 🤣
Best on your own DJ !!!
It’s poor…..remember…what is ‘legal’ may not be morally or socially acceptable. Be careful going ‘mob handed’. It does not look good.
Also remember that what one person thinks is moral and socially acceptable another person will disagree about it.
As for trespassing they were not trespassing.
Patiently waits for you disagree, so I can educate you.
@@irisaviation852 very well put 👍
This is not your style, please leave this team up. I like your solo interactions, but if you continue with these chaps i’m gone.
DJ work on your own your vlog's are great. I think the owner is within his rights to be concerned he seems a nice man. sorry not a good vlog.
Arthur is a Farmer.
I’m not surprised at his approach to strangers on his patch.
“get off of my land” being a regular cry of the farming community.
DJ, please stay solo. You are much higher quality. I don't understand why a professional would team up with anyone else
Great audit once again!
First time I've heard DJ offer a hand shake!
Respect!
4:54 no wonder the building needs reinforcement, being next to a railway, that's like a small earthquake every time a train goes by
Mr. Heygate has another mill in Bugbrooke, Northampton. It is at the end of a long road which appears private but is in fact public.
I’m sure he’d tell you it’s private
He was a pompous entitled tosser....simple.
Not the best audit you’ve done DJ, looked like you were ganging up on the poor guy who seemed to be being perfectly reasonable.
Feel a bit sorry for the owner, who didn't understand the benefits of cooperation. But it does highlight the need to make the general public aware of their rights.
I like this guy, but i dont like that he so freely goes onto private property, even if there is no signage - it kinda loses some of the moral high ground for me
These guys are horrible pricks
DJ is a great virtual tour guide🤠
British railway crossing gates are so quaint along with the character of the buildings and other sites
No.. i would say the yellow one is a late Ford D series, late seventies.
PJ is the lorry expert.
Agree with Martin, it’s a Ford face lift D series cab with the square headlights.
The red lorry is a Ford Cargo.
Good to know is 3 auditors so I can skip this one for now.
I fully agree with other comments. Please do future audits on your own.
I agree this 3 way audit is no good. But keep up the good work DJ.
What a beautiful location that was. Very interesting content too. I've never seen a flour mill before 😊😊😊 👏👏👍👍
If any flour goes missing, he's got your photo's lol
If you were on your own DJ I’m sure Mr Heygate would have been much more reasonable. Ganging up with PJ isn’t the way forward & that random guy in the wheel chair lol

@@DJAUDITS Best to keep it that way. Filming with other auditors has lowered your quality before.
You’re all about the money money 💰
There's nothing wrong with PJ, he does his auditing with humour and respect. A collab just muddles up the video when all auditors are filming. Nobody knows who's taking the lead and it ends up a free for all.
PJ gets on my tits
Very amateurish and to his detriment.
Interesting video! I loved seeing the river ouse :) 😊
I loved it but must agree that if having a conversation one is enough, but the request by the owner to have you go to reception although reasonable is not needed if you are not trespassing and despite his assertions he still would not have been happy
He was most annoyed at your intrusion
He can not want the sun in the sky and the moon at night but tough deal with it if it's there and legal 😂😂😂
What the moon legal I doubt that on its own at night sitting there moving reflecting ship lights sorry sun light down here no that is illegal ✨️✨️✨️🤣🤣❤️❤️
Hehe its like a scene from Phoenix Nights! 😂
Turned it off as soon as I saw multiple auditors. If I wanted to watch the others I would subscribe !
If he was proud he wouldn’t go the way he did. Is it not better to find out what is happening first. Another great audit. DJ
It just became an embarrassing mess at around 6:00. DJ Audits, perhaps visit sites alone. Just my opinion pal 👍
That probe going into the truck is to measure moisture content.
The pronunciation for that river is the "ooze".
Your in my country. I believe you're in Downham Market.
You read the sign then.....
@@ftw1540 No! Been past there plenty of times, & was also in town today.
Agree stay on your own DJ
You need to drop the other auditors they let your channel and you down . Sorry brother

''My name is Heygate, I'm a rich middle class snob, born with a silver spoon in my mouth, I'm Grand Master of my local Freemasons Lodge and chairman of the Rotary Club, now piss off or I'll let the dogs loose on you''.
I don't know if you've seen recent studies but even the fish at the bottom of some of the deepest depth studies have micro
plastics inside their bodies.
Rinse the items before use out of the dishwasher and really cut down red meat. What do you think :) 👍
I know many old people who understand networking, support word of mouth helping hand good business is better than No business. Mr Heygate should be greatful

Much as I have no issue with the other auditors in this video, the overall quality is lowered when you turn up together.
I also feel it somewhat diminishes the point of an audit.
