- Thought I'd see if the American Military respected our right to photograph. I know they give American Auditors a hard time sometimes but will they be steered in the right direction by Wayne and Gavin (UK security).

I remember those days like yesterday. I live in Canada now thank God. I also remember back around 1980 two aqaintantances of mine (now bare in mind this is probably around 40 yrs ago) who's names I just can't recall, just drove onto that base in braod daylight and hot wired a Mustang Convertable which had been sat there for 6 months, stopped at the gatehouse and were allowed to pass. Yeah baby, those were the days! Dang, I sure wish I could remember the names of those wild crazy guys.....time seems to have taken it's toll.

@@realPromotememedia I visited Lakenheath a number of years ago I had an american friend stationed there and its UK soil but they the USAF are tenants on a UK airbase and its still British soil, if the americans left tomorrow it would revert to the RAF unless it shut down, it pays alot of mortgages in that area I have no problem with the base itself

To be fair MDP did the right thing on this one. Asked the usual questions, didn't really push anything or give instructions as if FP was a small child, and let him get on with it.

I've been on that base many many times it's like stepping in to America. Years ago they would have the typical black and white police cars and I kid you not when I went to get lunch there was a dunkin donuts and outside were loads of black and white police cars just like the movies. It was all the American shops and you would pay in sterling and get change in US Dollors. To be fair it was very friendly inside.

Americans have more 1st Amendment Auditors across the pond than we have, who regularly audit military bases. Copper says they are worried, I presume, he means the Yanks ? but the first contact was by MOD Security officer not the Yanks.

That officer was a crack up when he said the Americans don't understand freedoms. I've also watched other auditors that have actually decided to ditch the GoPro as they are not working very well they are made for short filming not for long vids and they do overheat a lot.
My GoPro works all day, but I do have mine connected to an external power, although I do suspect im maybe one of the lucky ones.

No idea what I was watching initially. Video got linked in my feed cos I typed in Hocus Pocus - Focus, the song. What an amazing video; I love the way you tackle the officious MOD security guys at the beginning. I learned a lot by watching this. Not sure what your motivation is but 'auditor' of their systems/response is a pretty accurate description. Edit: the irony is that you do refer to these as audits; laughed out loud to myself when I realised. I have spent the last two hours watching your vids back to back.
