  • The final stretch of my Gila County Special takes me through the snowy, southern Sierra Anchas. I'll hike to a fascinating and hard to reach asbestos mine before finding an epic vista to spend my last night camped out at. The next day I'll visit another unique mining operation before wrapping up the journey and returning to Globe at the end of my 300 mile route.
    Thanks for watching this series! It was an absolute blast to film and share this whole thing. If you have specific questions related to this trip -- let me know. I'll probably do a trip debrief / FAQ regarding this adventure, which will also feature some bloopers and bonus clips that usually play after the credits.

    One of my favorite hobbies is watching your videos and trying to find your campsites on Google maps. It’s like a mini adventure. Thanks for sharing another epic trip with us

      @@azoffroad_net thanks Scott! I found both your Dragoon Mountain campsites and stayed at the Cochise Stronghold location back in May. I plan on finding that top of the hill location near Cibecue Falls(I have it pinned already). I’m a newbie and your channel is very inspiring.

    Absolutely the best narration and commentary of the off road video's out there, well most of all video's of allot of different content. Your work is awesome, you have fun and you don't drive a $120,000.00 Rubicon. Great to see you having a Great time with out all the expensive toys and gadgets and not being a car part sales video. Look forward to your next vid. I have watched them all multiple times and really enjoy, Unlike TRAIL RECON which sucks. Keep up the great work. Thanks. Mark😃

    Still one of my favorite channels. Spectacular views very cool trail riding and the best arizona info on UA-cam. I just rode through that exact same area and didn't know I was passing soooo much history. Great video man.

    Nice final episode for this series. @24:36 you show the name sake I learned for the trail to American Ores Mine that is 'Angle Wing' trail. The source I used also list several additional trail along the Young-Globe Hwy which I am confident you already learned about. Hopefully you will feature them in future episodes. Thanks for sharing.

    Cool that you use cast iron pans. And you have what looks like an original Coleman stove converted to propane. If you still have the old stove gas tank you can use regular car gas and avoid propane canisters. The military specs they are built to allow lots of other fuels than just white gas. If you renew the tank pump gaskets and oil them occasionally, they will run forever.

    We drove way up to that mine about 12 years ago in my 72 cj5. The road looks way worst now but back then it was more doable. Cool area. One of my favorite mountain ranges. Also theres a bunch of waterfalls down in Parker Canyon right near where you camped. Unfortunately they are hard to get to without technical gear.

    Awesome video man! When you were hiking up asbestos peak I believe the precipitation you encountered was sleet. Hard to tell in a video though :).

    Your hail was sleet. And you never got cold enough to freeze that beer if you had taken it with you, but I doubt you would have enjoyed as much as at the Jeep.

    • @azoffroad_net
      @azoffroad_net  10 місяців тому

      Thank you for the information. It sure felt really cold but not something I deal with very often. Certainly more enjoyable back at the Jeep! Thank you for watching!
