In the USSR there was not a single plastic bag in the store. Everyone came with their own linen bags or bags in the form of a fishing net with two handles, such net bags were durable and fit into a pocket. Their name was Avoska.
Thanks Bob! I'm Korean and I started listening to English through your video last month, but thanks to your video, my listening skills have improved compared to last month!
Thank you, Teacher Bob.. I have been enjoyed your video to enchance my English vocabulary. I just learnt that you run flower business, great thing to know🎉😊
HI Bob, really love your videos. it is really common in England to have those we call "Scan and Pay" checkouts. Unlike typical self-checkout machines, "Scan and Pay" customers need to pick a handy scanner at the front of the supermarket, scan every item when shopping, and then you are supposed to check out much quicker, but the reality is completely the opposite - the workers always re-scan nearly all things you buy (probably they assume every shopper steals groceries). And the worst thing is there is always only one worker who in charge of 20-ish self-checkout machines. So I would never ever use "Scan and Pay" again. I would only use traditional self-checkout counters.
hello Mr. Bob i love your classes. Thanks for sharing this amazing channel. god bless you and family. i hope, one day, we can meet and talk about indonesian.
Hi Bob, I really like all the material that you share with us, it is so useful for me. I try to listen at least one every day. Thank you so much ❤ I’m Blanca Lucia from Queretaro Mexico
Hello Teacher Bob! Your classes are amazing. I not only learn English, but I learn about the Canadian culture as well. I request a lesson about online shopping. What is the difference between package, packet, parcel or shipment? Sometimes they are a little confusing. Keep up the good work.😃
Hello Teacher Bob! We do use scanners in some Tesco stores in Hungary. You can also use your phone with an app to do the scanning. In the future, I'd like to use more automated systems, where there's nothing to scan. Like the RFID self-checkout in Decathlon stores, where you just put your items in a basket at the checkout. Great lesson, many thanks. Have a great day.
I tested my kowledg and repeated the words. In Russian there is a proverb:" repetition is the mother of learning". Thanks a lot for your teaching and your lessons.
I am shopping with a scanner. At the end, I go to the checkout to pay for all my items. Sometimes there is a random control to be sure that I scanned everything I bought. Shopping is becoming more and more impersonal.
Hlw,,sir Bob,, if you always create video from nature I'll feel happy i always wait for your new video and I can Learn English properly without boring, Which video you already maked from natural outside i like this video beacause i happily can learn from this video,,,,I'm lucky for having you,, carry on I'll always with you,,❤
The scanners were used by the "O'KEY" stores in St. Petersburg (Russia). But using scanners turned out to be inconvenient, so now there are only self-checkouts.
Hi teacher Bob, when we go to some famous tourist places, they will sell some products related to the place, such as a small Eiffel Tower, etc. do such products have special names? In addition, in some famous museums or art galleries, they will use their art works to make eco bags or scarves and other products for sale. What are such products called in English? Thank you 🙏😂
Hi Bob may ask you...I am looking for a native speaker who can teach me by one to one only for conversation online..it's ok 5 meeting for a week..i can pay for the fee . I need more conversation with native speaker to improve my conversation skill...

Well done bob, I hope one day to bring your same content to my UA-cam channel that I opened a few years ago!
Hey Bob, many supermarkets use scanners for self check-out in Italy
Plastic bags are still used here, and they are used a lot. I live in Texas, USA.
❤❤
Using scanner to checkout is very common in Sweden 🇸🇪🇨🇦🇸🇪
Here in my country the best time to go to shopping mall is in summer because the weather outside is scorching hot
❤
Hello Bob, in Moscow some stores (a few of them) have scaners, quite rare feature here
We use the scanner in china 😊
There are scanners in Russia. The shop is called "Lenta"
My dream is living in America 🇺🇸
So I do😢.
@@mohapk3815 🥺
😶👍 thanksssss
Hi Mr Bob, is there others word to say “shopping carts”? in Costco?Thank you 😊
The scanners were used by the "O'KEY" stores in St. Petersburg (Russia). But using scanners turned out to be inconvenient, so now there are only self-checkouts.
After now, I might do shopping all around the world, with self-confidence. Of course when I have enough cassshhhh 😂

Some time I lost the recipe. I can let the shopkeeper see my bank statement to confirm. It’s always worked for me in The UK
That is a great solution. 😎🌻👍

Hi, Professor! Mind I knowing which province are you living in Canada now? Wanna visit you if possible.
Im watching your videos for a while and I was pretty sure you are "Bob the comedian " 😂😂😂
✌✌
🙏🙏🙏🙏🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷
Bob, explain me the next. Canada formally is still the Britain colony. Y'all are Britain royal family's subjects. Why do you have dollars, not pounds?
It better not buy anything. A society produces so much stuff that it can be given out without any payment.
