- Hi everyone! It's Justmedonna sharing you again another video about Japan Exchange and Teaching Programme.
I know that one of the most difficult requirements to accomplish if you want to be a part of JET Programme is the Statement of Purpose or SOP. Hence, I am sharing you some reminders, tips, and guide questions which helped construct my SOP. I hope this video helps.

I forgot to mention these
1. Highlight what you can contribute to Japan when you become an ALT.
2. As much as possible, refrain from using hifalutin words. Use simple words so they can easily understand your SOP.

Hehe apply na 😊 they have set schedule every year ,like this year they opened the application from October to January 8. The interview and demo happen in the embassy of Japan in the Philippines pero diko lang alam set up nila ngaung pandemic 😁

You mentioned Kontad in your SOP. Is that the same cultural group of Benguet State University's Kontad?

Pero, nong nakita ko po ung Statement of Purpose niyo just days ago. I revised my entire SoP and have realized na kulang pa yung teaching experience and interaction ko to foreign students.
Sa letter palang, nalaman ko na na it's not for me yet.

So long po as you express urself po and you poured out the real you ay u should go for it 😢 I knew a lot of people batchmates and senpaid with zero teachingn background and experience abroad and they were able to be accepted po. so please try. This sop is just an example and this is in no way a template na u need to base your sop on so please don't be dismayed 🥺

Hello po. Is it possible for a fresh Graduate in education to be able to work as an ALT? The application will open this October and I want to try passing an application but I have no work teaching experience yet rather than my teaching Internship in college. I don't also have any TESL or TEFL certifications. Is japanese language certification required??
Yes po pwede po kahit fresh grad. JL Cert is not a requirement but an advantage if you have po :)

yes po it is okay not to provide a statement of physician if you don't have illnesses :)

Essay (Statement of Purpose)
Typed, single-sided, double-spaced on A4 paper (210mm x 297mm) or lettersized paper (8.5in x 11in), not exceeding two pages. This page limit must be
strictly observed.
The following instructions must be followed.
- Word limit : between 500 - 4000 words
- 1 inch margin all sides
- Font : Verdana
- Font Size : 11
- Name and Signature after the last paragraph
- Number of words should be added at the last sentence.

You can do it po. Actually I have co-incoming JET participant who has no experience in teaching and is a fresh grad so having a year experience with koreans is a plus na po sa inyo 😊 just highlight po ur interests in teaching also ur one year exp 😊

mam donna, thank you po for your video. mam clarify ko lang po yung standard ngayon ni JET for 2022 sa SOP na "not exceeding two pages" medyo nalilito na po ako. Kakatapos ko lang po ng draft ko. Bale mam, two pages yung maximum na single-sided..tama po ba me? I hope you can enlighten me po.

hi po :) my SOP was written last year but this year po ata, they have stricly indicated the font style and font, please follow nalang po :) ung sa numbers, it may be written po either of the two but a lot wrote like "...representing my country and bringing home the experiences garnered while in Japan. 647 words."

it's up to you po. previously, some current jet participants wrote it, some didn't, some even made their own title so depends po sa inyo ☺️
