សាវតារប្រវត្តិសាស្រ្ដបញ្ជាក់ថា ភ្នំព្រះរាជទ្រព្យគឺជា អតីតរាជធានីនាសតវត្សរ៍ទី ១៧ (ពីឆ្នាំ១៦១៨ ដល់ឆ្នាំ ១៨៦៦)នៃរជ្ជកាលព្រះបាទជ័យជេដ្ឋាទី២ មានឈ្មោះជារាជធានីថា ព្រះបរមរាជវាំងមហានគរឧដុង្គ-មានជ័យបុរីរម្យឧត្តមរាជនិវេសនដ្ឋាន ដែលហៅខ្លីថា ក្រុងឧដុង្គមានជ័យ។ លុះឆ្នាំ១៨៦៦ ក្រុងឧត្តុង្គមានជ័យត្រូវបានបោះបង់ដោយព្រះបាទនរោត្តម ក្រោយពីទ្រង់សព្វព្រះរាជហឬទ័យត្រឡប់មកកសាងរាជធានីចតុមុខមង្គលសារជាថ្មី (ទីក្រុងភ្នំពេញសព្វថ្ងៃ)។
#Oudongk mountain is a cultural, historical and popular tourist destination and a popular monument for Buddhists. This mountain is located in Phsar Dek village and Phnom Bat communes, Ponhea Leu district, Kandal province and is about 57 km from the provincial town.
Historical background confirms that this mountain was the former capital in the 17th century (from 1618 to 1866) of the reign of King Chey Chetha II, named as the capital of the Royal Palace of Mahanokor Udong-Meanchey Borey Rom, the royal residence, abbreviated as Krong Odong Meanchey. In 1866, Udong Meanchey was abandoned by King Norodom after his willingness to return to rebuild Chaktomuk Mongkul (present-day Phnom Penh).
