this was also mu first time ever making an actual tutorial video with my voice. the last time I did this was at the start of the pandemic!

Step one to making animations: already knowing how to animate
I made a timelapes how i animate at the end. You can slow it down if you like!
idk if this would be a full video but i would love to hear how you animate multiple people/parts at the same time? it's super hard for me to keep track of everything i want to change in one frame ;-;

the first statement is so true!
recent i made a character, full movement + lyp synch
it took LONG but because i had to mouth the words myself as example and my friend asked me if my gallery had anymore space
it had alot of space left because it took 204 screenshots, for about 30 seconds of full movement and lip synch
now it seems like alot, but judging by the context it isn’t
so overall it depends on animation, length and technique
i don’t do smear frames all that much, but my technique mostly is like this:
point A
point A but the limb is moved slightly fowards the direction it’s supposed to go
point B but the limb is moved slightly more then actual point B
point B
i find that it gives a nice bounce and it’s great for normal every-day movements
your technique uses way more screenshots, and i ADMIRE it (i especially like your noel’s lament vid, it’s very smooth and i am obsessed with the transition from home to studio)
but it still isn’t as many as people think
some people need to make up their minds: is it ‘soo easy i don’t see why you can’t post good quality content daily’ or ‘it’s so hard i could never’
it’s neither easy nor hard, and it takes a good while till you can develop your own way of doing things

I personally make the smear frames with 2D lines and itself takes less frames that I could possibly need.

Making animations is just so good but it requires alot of patience and time 😭😭
