Intrusive Handshapes

Words in spoken languages sometimes have intrusive sounds that occur in transition between phonemes. This phenomenon also can occur in cued languages as hand shapes occur in transition. These intrusive sounds/handshapes do not carry phonemic value, but are simply unavoidable products of the modality being used.
