It looks like the blue PvP set from reputation is no longer on the vendors on the beta. In original TBC it was not in on launch. It is identical to the high warlord set, but this would mean you can't combine the two sets in Phase 1.
If you're fairly close to hit cap, then the Silent-Strider Kneepads you have listed in the last tier for boots are going to be better than The Master's Treads. They have the same stealth bonus with better stats minus the hit. Edit: I should mention they're only really better if you're already over around 8-9% hit without the boots.
I love... LOVE how you reverse engineered based off Miir. That's beautiful comparison. Played rogue into 2300s S1-3. I approve how you approached this. I'm sure dude swaps incessantly for the comps. I love the synergy of the talent trees. With the right comps and player cohesion you can use off the wall abilities you normally wouldn't.
Is the Assassination 2 set bonus not good? I don't see you recommending it like you do with the Wastewalker set. But I feel like the haste bonus is so valuable as you can have an immediate SnD when opening with a cheap shot without having to waste combo points on SnD.
Haste is worse in PvP than in pve because your auto attacks are less powerful. This is due to difference in buffs, hit, talents, and poisons. The set is decent, but I would not value the two set too highly, and would rather go with two items that are individually better. Definitely good while gearing up though
why are the silent-strider kneeboots so low on the list? master tread's are better sure, but if you don't need the hit silent-strider is actually even better. that's a big if sure but I'd think they would be better than mediocre
TBH silent strider is BIS s1 idk wtf this dude is talking bout. You don't need that much hit in pvp and silent strider is way better itemized. You are absolutely right. Honestly I'm not sure why anything other than those two items is on the list bc in my opinion they are the only two options.
Love your vids. really helping me out with PVP. Only question I have is why the Silent-Strider Kneeboots are so low on the list with better stats than the treads and also +1 stealth level. Are the treads needed for the hit rating since the gladiator gear doesn't provide hit rating? Currently, I have the treads equipped. If I am above the hit % needed for pvp, should I use the striders (just got them to drop) until I get gladiator gear and then swap back when the hit is needed? Huge fan from a WoW noob.
That is how I expected it to be released, but it was on the beta to purchase right away. Now I can't find the items on the vendor anymore. It was available previously and they even gave it out for testing. Wowhead also lists it being Phase 1. Thanks for the heads up though, I will pin a message.
I'm not really great at PVP is there a resource that somebody can link me to kind of help me out with that because I'm getting frustrated and I don't want to just transfer servers because I'm not good at it because I can get good I just don't know of any resources

What do you think of Blackout Truncheon for offhand? 1.5 speed 2 sockets + 132 haste proc. I've been using it combined with Bladefist + assassin 2 set.
A fast offhand sword with sword spec can net you a bunch of extra main hand swings. Mace spec for the oh only slightly increases in dmg. All for pve of course
It's good. None of the replies to your question are good though. The mace is way better than any sword you could use except MAYBE latro's and the blue/purple pvp swords.
How come I always here people say they switch between the wound and crippling. But never that they switch to deadly poison instant vs a target with no trinket . If you have no blind then you might as well for the extra damage vs plates
If the plate wearer is getting healed, wound is better. Using deadly is risky, because you can't gouge, sap, blind (you mentioned it), and your teammate is unable to use some CC as well, for example, polymorph.
@@Zatar yeah I see, I wouldn't think it to be as viable in arenas where cc is so important. But in a 1v1 situation and occasionally in bgs I think you can get away with it. I always run wound on my main hand and switch between crippling and instant vs most classes. I still need another weapon to do a 3rd posion!(edit: Opening with deadly when you use your bleed opener is ideal I believe. Considering the target can't heal like you said, if they can wound is still more valuable)

dragonmaw is bis but u can only get it at p2.. and ur gonna need to get nether vortexes. dragonstrike is available in p1 but is just as good as spiteblade.
I'm not sure it's 100% fair to rank the BIS weapon slot by top end damage. They all also have lower low end damage. So for every time you hit relatively hard hemo because of the high top end, you will also experience a time where you hit a relatively weak hemo, because of the lower low end? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I feel like any of the Arena weapons (sword, mace, or fist), are pretty equal in power?
@Frank Rossi the overall rankings were done to include the DPS of the weapon, avg weapon damage and obviously stats and procs. Top end did not factor in to the ranking. High top end is just a way of saying the item has high weapon damage because it is slow. If you average out the weapon damage, Dragonmaw has higher average weapon damage than the gladiator weapons as well.
@@Zatar I see, thanks for the reply. Is the average weapon damage of the gladiator first/mace/sword all equal to one another? And the Dragonmaw is a tier above them? Or does is the average damage of the arena fist weapon really higher than that of the sword? I thought the average weapon damage was pretty much just represented by it's DPS
@Zatar can you maybe cover a possible dagger sub build with Shadowstep? even if it isnt the best, it should be very fun in bgs to oneshot ppl with ambush + backstap. how would you go about making such a build? would you swap to a slow MH sword after the ambush and backstab and swing with meaty Hemo? Can it be good in arena too? or just viable? I really am going for daggers on my rogue, would love to see ur opinion on a build covering daggers
I actually think daggers could be the best spec in Battlegrounds. In arena it can be tough to get behind the target, and you will generate much less combo points than hemo.
