one thing I noticed. people need to do a bit of prior planning before attempting something like this obstacle for when things don't work out. and when things do go bad people just need to chill the heck out.
Similar issue to what we had at nolands each time a car went though the riverbed changed. Every car that went though got recovered by the car that went before.
Someone has to say it - Nissans go where others fear to tread :) Reality is, each car churns the sand at the bottom - after maybe 2 it needs 30 mins to settle down. The right approach is to hook up every vehicle and tow them through, they don't need their own power which only digs the wheels deeper.
They don't even need that much pulling power either. They're in trouble when they start floating. At that point they're effectively a boat. The trick is to prepare for the worst and hope for the best. I learnt the hard way. Thankfully it only a clean and dry out the interior job. No damage. Hopefully I'll get to Nolans one day. I'll have the strap ready to go and some one ready to pull from the other side.
Hey guys it was so beautiful to watch another great vlog with Luke Fink and co and trip to Cape York enjoying the views around its to see them all having a great time away camping trip with family and friends stay positive and shine like a diamond guys ⛺🌹👍❤️🇦🇺
Glad to see that everyone was helping out when a vehicle got bogged and was making sure that the vehicles were not written off. I would not prefer to be up there at this time with every man and their dog. Great video anyhow, keep up the good work.
farkkkk so dangerous so many people so close to the recovery straps , can get seriously injured if they snap. thats a sick crossing tho, but shittttt stay safe
NOW I know why my 94 Hilux's floor was wet when I bought it and the rear doors rusted out around the bottom seams. I would NEVER own a 4wd with carpet again!
Why some of these negative comments? Get a life! Thanks for a very enjoyable video😁👍. Good heavens guys, how many cars in your group😳? Beautiful spot, and I'm looking foreward to your next video😎. From a burning South Africa.... Cheers
Even i saw everyone before me going across no worries, I dont get how you wouldn't want the safety of being connected to someone on the other side before entering the water on the small chance you get stuck.
I’m so glad that people who have no idea how to 4wd are getting in and having a go. But safety should be taught for 4wd recoveries in some way before doing this stuff.
@@christhomas4260 no tracks are getting wrecked by us or our crew! Driving through the river thats on the track is part of doing that track so its hardly like anyone is going there intending to flood there 100k cars! Your ignorance towards what we where doing there is astounding!

This is like one of those videos that they used to show folks in the 1980's about how "not" to do things for safety's sake!
shaking hands with danger 💪
I also cringed. Bunch of muppets!
Wow one snapped snap strap away from facial reconstruction!

What’s the point of hooking up the tow line and then not driving forward to take up the slack while the car is floating 🤪
