Troye is much more confident this era and I love it!! He's grown so much since his yt videos in his bedroom (also this is one of my favorite songs on the album is because of the heart breaking lyrics about breaking up with Con set over an awesome rhythm)

Somehow I felt like Troye was channeling a bit of a modern Billy Idol vibe. Anyone else? It was an excellent performance, and the camera effect at the very end added some extra feels to it. Kudos to whoever came up with that idea. Also, much love for the artist and what he represents. And boy, can he act!!!!

Lmao. He's hardly a double threat. If you enjoy his music that is fine, but from the clips available it is objectively evident that his acting is stale. He's lucky the stars of the movie will carry him. Lucas Hedges is the actor you should be praising.

I'm praising them all; this film looks most definitely like an Oscar contender in so many categories....more importantly, it has a serious msg. Lucas has an enormous career ahead, and I'm willing to bet, because of this role, Troye will also be starring in upcoming future films (major studio and/or independent). I wish them all of the very best. ❤

To all the people saying that he's lip syncing - as he's on cable TV he's most likely using a backing track to make up the bulk of the vocals because most TV performances insist on that. However for live shows he most definitely is the one singing. I went to see him in November and he started tearing up during one of the songs and broke off, and when there was no sound behind that it was pretty clear he's the only one singing (with the exception of his lovely backup singers that chime in)
Furthermore, you can just tell when someone is singing by the strain of their voice and their muscles and the sound of their breathing. I assure you. Live and in person it's all real.

This song is really bad. Does not compare at all with Phil Collins in his prime in the 70’s and 80’s. This song will be forgotten in less than a year.

You're on the right track. It's straight up Peter Gabriel. Listen to In Your Eyes again, particularly the chorus. I suspect Troye's mum or dad played a lot of Peter Gabriel when Troye was a wee lad. :-)
