    Great intro to Project Life! One thing - you mention that Becky Higgins isn’t selling Design A page protectors anymore. I just bought a big pack of Design A on her website; they don’t show up with all the other page protectors, but they do if you search for them.

      Oh that’s good to know! She had said they were discontinued, I wonder if she’s clearancing some older ones or if she brought them back. I’ll take a look into it and try to update my description with a link.

    Thank you so much for sharing this video! I enjoy PL so much and can’t wait to dip into 9*12 this year! I am an old school 12*12 scrapbooker and last year started dabbling in PL and week in life and fell in love! I enjoy all your videos and actually had my husband make me a stadium card holder because I was inspired by your set up! Truly, thank you!

      Aww thank you! That means so much. I hope you enjoy 9x12, I’ve loved it. I also did 12x12 traditional layouts back in the day and they still show up here and there. Also super amazing your husband could make that for you! ❤️

    isn't it crazy how much scrapbooking has changed from 10 years ago! I find my style has changed and so has the types or the way I do certain projects. This was a great video into project life!

      Yes, definitely! I have a stories highlight on my instagram taking a peek back at my style evolving over time. Sometimes I look back on some of the older ones (not the suuuuper old ones) and think “oh, I should use that technique again!” I love how our scrapbooks document not only our lives, but also our hobby of scrapbooking, how it looks, at that particular point in time.

    This was a great overview! I've been doing Project Life since it's initial creation where Becky actual scrapbooked one photo from every day to make up her weekly spread!

      Yes! It’s evolved a lot over the years. I didn’t start at the very beginning, but I was following the project since then and adopted it a few years later. I love it so much, even more so as it’s evolved.

    what a great video. I have done PL for years, but the last two years I have yet to document. I'm thinking of going back and doing monthly recaps. This video has inspired me to do it in real time for 2024. I like the 6x12 size and I think I will go back to weekly.

      The ones I used in 2023 were from studio calico, but I'm not sure if they have them anymore (they stock albums sporadically). For 2024 I am using very similar ones from scrapbook.com: shrsl.com/4cgwo. Just something to keep in mind is that the scrapbook.com ones are 3 ring and the studio calico ones are 4 ring, so the page protectors aren't interchangeable without punching additional holes.

    Planning to go back to PL next year after dabbling in other memory keeping projects over the years. They are some of my favourite albums from the past and I regret stopping doing them for a while. I find it so much easier to keep up with than memory planning, I think it’s the structure and not having to look at a totally blank page and wonder what I’m going to do with it 😂 Thanks for the inspiration

      Thanks! I hope that you find this project is approachable and start it now. The Ali Edwards stories by the month kit is available here: aliedwards.com/subscribe/stories-by-the-month. There are 3 subscription options depending on how long you’d like to commit and that will determine your monthly price. If you subscribe they will automatically send you the kit/charge you each month until you cancel. There is also a classroom component where they provide inspiration using the kit!

    I always love your videos. I like the idea of project life, but there are 2 things that always pull me away. 1. Sometimes i feel like the smaller details are not aways fun to scrapbook or look back at vs the more fun events. Who wants to look at an album of my coffee? 2. I feel like i will not be able to be creative enough.

    • @LindaLovesCreating
      @LindaLovesCreating  Рік тому +1

      I totally get these hang ups. My thought is that I am scrapbooking primarily because I enjoy the process. If no one wants to look back at my albums that’s okay because I enjoyed making them. That said, I absolutely have loved looking back on those tiny details! Those are the things you completely forget about if you don’t document them. So many times I’ve looked back and thought “omg I totally forgot about this recipe, I should make it again” or something similar. But, your album can def be whatever you want it to be. Document the tiny details that you would want to look back on! You can start small with a 6x8 or similar so you don’t need that many memories per spread. Maybe highlight one or two stories per week. And for the creativity part, the only way to be more creative is to practice. Each spread is a fresh start to try again. I have def made spreads that I don’t love, but they’re stepping stones to ones that I do, and the longer I stick with this project the more I love my spreads/develop my style. I could say so much more but I don’t want to leave you too long of a comment, so I’ll just say I hope you dive into this project if it’s something that feels fun to you! I’m always here to answer questions if you need help. ❤️

    Hi Linda! I just found your channel and am starting Project Life for 2025. I am a 12 x 12 scrapper and just want to see if this could be quicker as I am years behind in my memory keeping. I was checking out Cocoa Daisy and see a lot of wonderful things, but which kit do you use for your Project Life??

    • @LindaLovesCreating
      @LindaLovesCreating  2 дні тому

      Hi! Welcome to my channel. I do think project life is a quicker approach once you get used to the format, especially if you want to document everyday memories. For Cocoa Daisy I use the scrapbooking kit with the pocket cards add on, you can see the current one here: cocoadaisy.com/collections/subscribe/products/scrapbooking-kit-with-add-on?selling_plan=5881790737&variant=48767688442129/?sjram=0tuZOeseFnxg . I hope my channel can give you more ideas + inspiration, let me know if you have any other questions!

    Hi Linda so glad ive found your channel. Im in the UK and originally heard of Becky Higgins project life in about 2013. My son was 2. I knew i wanted to document using physical photos and ticket stubs etc etc. I brought a Becky Higgins album and then life went crazy. I ended up just using normal photo albums. My boy is now 13 and i have some time to myself again so im planning on going back and moving it all into project life albums. Do you think this is possible? Ive seen a couple of your videos and will watch more in time. I did want to move everything into just 1 album per age but i dont think that will be possible with the amount of photos that i have. Do you do a separate album for your daughter? Any little tips you have would be great. Im going to look at getting some kits to get me started and some various pocket pages as until i start going through photos im not sure which sizes will work best where etc. Thanks for helping a girl out, this has been stressing me for months with what to do 😊

    • @LindaLovesCreating
      @LindaLovesCreating  7 місяців тому

      Thank you and welcome to my channel! It is definitely possible to go back and document older years! I do keep separate albums for her and am actually working on going back and filling those in now. I have a video coming soon sharing my process for those albums and I also share process videos for some of the spreads when I go back and work on older stories (I am currently working my way through 2020 in pocket pages in her album). As far as going back to start your albums, I suggest starting with a framework (set up your albums, slip a few dividers or other identifying things in your album, figure out how you want it to be laid out) and then put pages together as you're inspired to do so. But def more tips coming soon in my video about my daughter's albums, so stay tuned for that one!

      Thank you so much for your reply. I will await for your video before I do much more, as I really can't decide what's best and it's stressing me. I'm torn between doing project life as an "album" adding dates to each picture and little captions or doing a baby scrapbook and then starting project life as monthly layouts so there is a bit of order and I don't need to date every individual photo. Im hoping to get some time this weekend to watch some more of your videos x

    Where do you buy the page protectors?

    • @LindaLovesCreating
      @LindaLovesCreating  Рік тому +1

      Depends on the album you are using, from scrapbook.com. For a 3 ring 9x12 here would be a link: shrsl.com/4cgwu. They also have various configurations for 12x12. If you are using a 4 ring 9x12 you can get page protectors from Ali Edwards or Studio Calico.
