I watched a You Tube video about David last week some, covering his career and I honestly didn't realise he had done so many things and that his career was so expansive! As a young woman in the 70s and 80s of course like most girls then, I had a big crush on him. I remember going to one of his concerts in Poole, Dorset. It was fabulous. That was in the mid 70s I think. He was adored by so many girls. I'm the same age as him, maybe slightly younger, but for me, he's still got those appealing beautiful blue eyes, even if he's aged like the rest of us. ❤❤❤
David is so humble and talented,his songs stayed in my head ,his voice was unique and beautiful tone,he wrote beautiful songs. He is still very attractive in and out. God bless him.
In late 1975, my family were camping in a beach side caravan park, and David Essex's smash hit "Hold Me Close" always seemed to be playing on every radio in every campsite multiple times a day. People all singing along all over the place. Such happy times ... I don't remember any other songs from that camping holiday - just Hold Me Close, playing over and over again on every radio. And yes, all of the girls in my school had David Essex posters on their bedroom walls. Greetings from Australia. 👍 😀
