@@Alpha-cv1ce I don't hate his whole catalog. In fact, I'm a big Cream fan, and I like Derek and the Dominos just fine. I just think that after 461 Ocean Boulevard, his sound just gets very bland, very fast. While I'm not going to say that his career has been irredeemable since that album, there is very little of it that I find myself going back to. If you enjoy what he's been doing for the past 45 years, you are certainly welcome to it, but I can safely say that his more soft rock and adult contemporary-tinged blues stuff just isn't for me.
Bill Gates makes much better music I agree since like forever. Clapton is overrated. He can't neither sing nor play guitar nor write songs. Only boomers go to his concerts. Zoomers listen to Ariana Grande 34+35. Best song ever made.
Please cover some Yeule!!! They are from Singapore and they make glitch/ambient pop, it is so ethereal honestly. They are coming out with their new album "Glitch Princess" this February and I think you should give their music a try.
I don’t watch a lot of Fantano’s videos but I always love his worst songs of the year list. There’s just something about awful music that makes me laugh!
Ame Bibabi was probably going double Dutch by putting those sonar-like refrain pinging noise lyrics in her song that were not only catchy but could have also helped to put her on the musical map.
Can we all give Anthony a round of applause in the chat? This man is sacrificing his sanity (and probably parts of his soul) to tell us what's happening in the world of music. The man walks into a warzone everyday while we all huddle inside and try to forget that it all exists. RESPECT.
Occasionally at the end of each year I might check out a few of the Anthony's worst tracks/albums just to see what I've ignored. I usually leave the listening session feeling like I need a bath due to being sickened by vapid mediocrity so BIG respect for the man having to listen to a terrible LP 5ish times just to make one review.
Corey Feldman is our generation's 'The Shaggs' in that I think quite a few popular and well regarded musicians in 30 years time will cite him and Angelic 2 the Core as an artistic influence
Yeah, I'm so tired of him, people love him but hate mark zuckerberg and bill gates, when they are essentially the same, specially with mark zuckerberg, both are weirdos with lots of money.

Important info that needs to get into the public mind is that Elon wasn't 100% bankrolled by his parents. Rather he made his money by, through contracts, attaching his name to projects like PayPal that he had practically no involvement in its invention. He's done the same with Tesla - no engineering feats to speak of, just his name on the company by contract. His parents have more chiropractors in it than engineers (as in no engineers or scientists or inventors whatsoever, but his mom was the first chiropractor in Canada). His origins are actually more Canadian than South African. Tesla was founded in like 2009ish but didn't have any profitable year whatsoever until 2017. The tech is barely functionable and they've had instances where the only way they were able to meet quotas was under building cars under literal tents outdoors. He's anti-union and as such stunts like those skirt any kind of worker protections. His one invention is the first of likely many ponzi stock companies. Stock and share trade with a company that basically doesn't make anything. And what it does make kills people or combusts in a lithium fire that conventional fire fighters can't put out without special technology. It's important to know this because the only way Tesla keeps afloat is because people think he's a savior or an evil elite. Both these sensational views lead stock gamblers to believe he and Tesla are the most futuristic, ever evolving political front-page news. In actuality he's a fucking clown. An idiot who can barely tie his shoes and just gets royalties and fame-fueled riches from slapping his name on things. If people realized he was a fraud not because he's an evil Batman but because he's a fucking joke then he'd fall into obscurity
He literally only "designed" the plug shape of his E-Cars, so they can only hook onto Tesla Loading Stations - other cars can not. So just scummy market penetration tactics. 100% agree with the rest, its fake futurism. Look into the tunnel project of his "Boring Company" basically an unsafe underground Taxi Service. No innovation, just a backwards view on tired Cyberpunk aesthetics to fool the masses - all look, no substance.
Honestly, I think focusing so much in a person's background when it comes to their field of business is backward. Like yeah, having someone's parents bank roll them into success is shitty for those of us without that opportunity, but if the person's work in their field is of quality, who cares? That doesn't really apply with Elon because he doesn't DO anything regarding his products and his ethics are non-existent. We should be more focused on his shitty behavior and treatment of employees than his gem-harvesting parents, because at the end of the day, a lot of influential and/or known people get to where they are based on nepotism of a kind, direct or indirect. It's a completely separate problem from Elon Musk being a shithead.
I would switch Grimes for Ed Sheeran's "Bad Habits", MGK for that Elton John + Lil Nas Collaboration and throw "Girls Want Girls" by Drake in there somewhere for THAT one line alone.
@@shawnsenese4083 Yea, it all comes down to personal opinion of course - but to me it qualifies for the audacity of Ed Sheeran thinking this is "edgy", like he really thought he did something there.
Ame bibabi accomplished something that went into the direction of what Drake wanted. She made a song with a tune/adlib that gets stuck in your head buts it’s irritation is worthy enough to become tiktok famous.

Ame Bibabi lacks the self-awareness for that. I've heard her interviews on Dutch radio, and she literally thinks people like her song, her next song will be just as bad and eventualy the joke of her music being garbage won't be funny anymore
@@reinjouke9743 that sucks but also I feel like it adds to her earnestness. The reason a lot of these other songs suck are because the artists are selling out and probably realize they're making music for a check (even Corey Feldman understands it monetarily to a point). Yea, Grimes is the only person on this list who is currently actually capable of creating good music if she wants to and gets her shiz together - which I hope she does soon. Ame will fade, but I think the Red Dress Woman knows exactly what she is doing.

I was surprised to not have heard about that GNR song and went to go look it up. Finding out what song it is absolutely astounded me. I heard a leaked version of the song that it later became YEARS ago and it was one of the worst things from the Chinese Democracy era that I'd ever heard, so bad that parts of it STILL live rent-free in the depths of my psyche many years later. Who told them it was a good idea to re-record that.
There’s bad songs on this list that are almost unanimously agreed upon as awful. And then there is fancy like that STILL has people doing TikTok dances to it. God help us
Kid Rock went to my high school growing up. I live in middle-upper class suburbia. My choir teacher said he was nerdy, awkward, and couldn't really sing all that well. Real devil without a cause, that one

Amazed at the lack of Tom McDonald songs. Could think of atleast three I have listened to (for thirty seconds or so) that would be worse than that harmless Dutch song.
the problem with putting tom macdonald on the worst songs list is that you'd ultimately be giving him attention. for as shit and terrible his lyrics + music are, he's pretty much a troll

MGK definitely had the wrong idea about what punk actually is in Papercuts and all his other new pop punk music. He referred Misery Business by Paramore as the song that got him into punk culture which is extremely laughable. He needs to go to a Leftover Crack show and rethink his influences. That being said, I think Papercuts is very catchy and filled with emotion that I can relate to. Not very punk at all, but an earworm in the best way.
I didn't mind the Grimes instrumental, but God damn, her vocals just ruin it. So much cringe knowing how hypocritical Grimes is. There is such a disconnect between her "views" and her actual life decisions.

@@thomson765 yeah I did, but it was the opening track so I didn't even wanted to open the game lmao. Yeah there are some really fun and good tracks on RL but most of it it's electronic boring type shit.
I can't believe Guns 'n' Roses is still going. I also sometimes wonder if I should listen to more bad music so I can appreciate good music better. The worst music I listened to this year was Weezer's OK Human album.
Although I don’t always agree with Fantano, I have utmost respect for a reviewer who can publicly trash something worth trashing. No matter how popular it is.
People talk about “hick-hop” and how mainstream country has co-opted the fundamentals of hip hop beat making but the term for country trap I prefer is crap
I dont think Player of Games is about Elon Musk - she talked about, in her one of her livestreams, that she had a non-public relationship with a popular gamer (some kind of twitch streamer or professional gamer I guess) which she wrote Idoru about, so I'm assuming that this song is inspired by that as well. Also, i think this went on concurrent with being with Elon Musk, so maybe they are non-exclusive or polyamorous or however you describe it.
Speaking of potentially bad songs, what was your opinion on the onslaught of features Abel was in this year? I think it was a bit over saturated, but, aside from One Right Now just being a bad song that doesn’t make sense, Hurricane being a little overrated, and Die For It having kind of bland production, and a feature who isn’t really that special (Nas), I think the featured content we got this year was pretty fine.
@@prettierjesus3119 he was my top artist this year and the only one form him I liked this year was take my breath. I feel like this year his vocals have been so unbearable and alien due to all the autotune on his voice on recent songs. and the post alone one was particularly terrible too.
@@prettierjesus3119 I would say I am so happy to see him evolving and become bigger than himself. Hurricane verse is Godly to me, maybe because I'm a huge Kanye fan but that track is so euforic to me and really makes my spirit going. Also, LA FAMA feature is one of my favorite. That song is a perfect collab between the two. I cannot wait what his next album will look like because every album so far is well put together thematically and is so influential. ✌️
This list confirms to me how massively out of the touch I am with the mainstream. Most artist I have never knowingly heard, and some I haven't even heard the name of before. There was a time when I was reasonably up to date with music in general even when I didn't like it at all. That time is obviously over.
You need to be on the tiktok cesspool to know who’s relevant. The app literally dictates who blows up currently, or which established artist’s single is going to get radio play
The fact that Addison Rae Obsessed wasn’t on here was criminal. Also you can’t put Ame Bibabi on here because like it or not that “Da da da da da da” is a straight up HOOK.
I get your lyrical critiques of Player of Games but honestly its a good song with good melodies and good production (like all grimes tracks imo) and no matter how bad someones ex might be, if they're a musician, they're probably going to write about the breakup. If she wrote the same lyrics but about a breakup with someone respectable, I wonder if your opinion of the track would be as negative.

"Shitty gentrified elevator blues rock." Well, isn't that pretty much what Clapton's been doing since, like, 1976 or so?
Yes.
Dude, why people feel this need to shit on Clapton's catalog in such a wrong and nonsense way just because is a douche?
@@Alpha-cv1ce I don't hate his whole catalog. In fact, I'm a big Cream fan, and I like Derek and the Dominos just fine. I just think that after 461 Ocean Boulevard, his sound just gets very bland, very fast. While I'm not going to say that his career has been irredeemable since that album, there is very little of it that I find myself going back to. If you enjoy what he's been doing for the past 45 years, you are certainly welcome to it, but I can safely say that his more soft rock and adult contemporary-tinged blues stuff just isn't for me.
Phoebe Bridgers was right about him
Bill Gates makes much better music I agree since like forever. Clapton is overrated. He can't neither sing nor play guitar nor write songs. Only boomers go to his concerts. Zoomers listen to Ariana Grande 34+35. Best song ever made.

Elon's best investment was whoever he got to do those hair plugs.
