@@loud_wolves The album went in at #2 of the midweek UK album charts. Pretty good for a completely independent artist.
The song's about how Ren's been affected by the death, by suicide, of his best friend, Joe. You'll find several other Ren songs that are either wholly, or partly, about Joe - 'Freckled Angels', 'Suicide' and 'For Joe'. Most of the proceeds from Ren's only album to date, were donated by Ren to Joe's parents and to the lifeboat station that searched for Joe's body. Hopefully he'll make some waves and some money, with his new album. He deserves it. He has a big heart and has been through SO much pain and suffering in his life and continues to do so.
He's still seriously ill, with 2 extremely debilitating and incurable, chronic illnesses and a host of associated conditions and illnesses. We only get to see him on his "good" days but he's still in near constant pain and has brain damage, nerve damage and damage to his bones, joints and internal organs. He's spent nearly all of 2023 in Canada, undergoing experimental medical treatments, in an attempt to repair some of that damage. He remains on a severely restricted diet, as he's highly allergic to virtually all food, meaning that he has virtually the same meal, every single mealtime, often liquidised, so that his body doesn't reject it. He has adhd, ptsd and chronic depression. His Lyme Disease, although still problematic, is largely under control, via mountains of medication. His Mast Cell Disease is more problematic as, even with mountains of medication, it's progress can only be slowed, not halted.

BY Ren, featuring Chinchilla. Chinchilla's great and you should definitely check out her solo stuff but she didn't write or co-write either How to be Me or Chalk Outlines. Ren wrote, arranged and produced both, as well as providing live instrumental accompaniment and vocals. Chinchilla provided vocals on both. :)
Daisey aka Chinchilla Ren calls her his sister by another mother, they are good friends. Chinchilla a fantastic singer is an independent British singer/songwriter. She is originally from London. They worked together and recorded a few duets and done some busking on the streets in the UK. My favourite song by her is Trigger.

this song is also partially attributed to loosing his friend Joe. Also Chinchilla is just amazing her solo stuff is awesome. I do know she was with the same management and stopped to go independent after meeting Ren and busking with him. Also check out Ren and Liv Sangster freestyling.

Great reaction, my daughter went to school with Ren so to see him where he is now given all the difficulties he has experienced is wonderful. We are so very proud of him. I think CHINCHILLA is unbelievably talented too, if you want to experience the full power of her vocals I would recommend “Fingers - live for Hunger TV” trust me it will blow you away.

Chinchilla is British born Daisy Bertenshaw. She became part of Ren's management team and Ren convinced her to busk on the streets with him Ren and Chinchilla 'Sexual Healing' It's a great video . ❤❤
