What? How have you not been to a show? You can't ever know who your favorite is until you see some live shows. It's a different world. When I saw TOOL live a few years ago, it was the most amazing experience ever. Like the whole audience was just one big being. I'd love for bizzarefest to come to the US.
Morgan motherfuckin ROSE!!!! holy shit he never fails to impress me! His vocals are perfect for the agression in this song and blend so well with lajon, not to mention his impeccable drumming.
Thanks man! As long as they keep coming to the west coast, I'll keep going!! Morgan is very amazing. They all are. I love them with every fiber of my being. They are great people.
i know i just went an educated myself on it, never been to a rock concert. Almost went to a Disturbed (my favorite band) concert, but my friend told me about it the day after the concert...... so...... yeah. lol
You're videos are the best man. Thanks so much for getting these up there for us. Morgan is hands down the most exciting drummer to watch live. It's almost hypnotizing to watch him. Keep em coming man. Thanks again.
Yea I wish morgan actually sung live too u would be amazed how many ppl think he does but he sounds too perfect oh well he is still my favorite drummer and its probably hard doing the screams and drum as crazy as he does so I understand y he doesnt.
@DrewciferFSA There is actually a blog somewhere where Morgan stated that his mic is a pretty cheap one that doesn't have good quality. Because it;s the only one that doesn't fall off of his head that he has tried. He does actually voice a lot of the stuff. Just not all.
I agree that Morgan is singing... there are tons of bands with drummers that sing live, it is not a very hard thing to mix out. Plus if you go by your idea how do singers have mics on stage when there are stacks for the guitarists (ie Zakk Wylde oe Eddie Van Halen) If the drum bleed through is a problem then you would have guiter and bass bleed through on all mics on stage.
@xxtribaleuphorixx Ya reeaaaallly honestly believe he's doing his vocal parts live? Trust me when I say I've been a die-hard fan since the first album, but I call them as I see/hear them and he hasn't been doing his parts for a few tours now... But man, do you realize how hot his mic would have to be to do the spoken part while throwing fills in there WITHOUT hearing them bleed into his headset? Uni-directional or not, you'd hear those drums POUNDING through his mic...
@xxtribaleuphorixx It's not like he was being super critical about your opinion bro... I LOVE Sevendust, but he's right on the drums being picked up through the mic. I'm sure some are recorded and some aren't
if Sevnedust became a gut wrenching heart breaking soul debilitating woman, i would marry her. i would enjoy the berating, the twisted love she gives me. i would enjoy every minute of it
@DrewciferFSA Morgan is actually signing in this video. That mic is a face mic. There is no way you would hear the drums through it through noise reduction and other technology. You can hear his voice crack and that it is strained. It is crystal clear on the studio recorded version. Listen to Critical Acclaim by Avenged Sevenfold live and watch the part where the Rev sings, I hear no drums coming through that mic. I also agree with xxtribaleuphorixx, if you are such a big fan then don't bitch.
@DrewciferFSA It's really not that big of a deal bro. The show is killer with or without his vocals prerecorded which they aren't all. It's not about HIS vocals. It's about HIS DRUMMING and how hard he brings it each and every night that he's up there busting his ass and his back. Nobody wishes them to be perfect. They are not super humans.
wrong about the mic, they got mics for drummers that you dont get anything besides what is right next to it, how about all the drums going though the singers mic, or the guitarists mic. it happens.. its all in the mix, and its all in what the monitor guy does..
Well said. And people have an issue with him using a headset mic consider how active he is. It's perfect for him. If he used a boom stand he'd be knocking that thing over in every song.
Oh, I guess the several hundred live shows I've played/worked sound for and the past 10 years of working in studios has taught me nothing. You guys don't find it odd that Morgan's vocals are *PERFECT* for EVERY show, while Clint/LJ/John's vocals are different from show to show? But please, feel free to inform me how they don't get mic bleed during that spoken part. LJ's mic isn't even as loud as Morgan's would have to be to get that part audible.
@DrewciferFSA Man did I say anywhere in my comment that I believed he sang all his parts? NO, I said the show is killer with or without his vocals being prerecorded which they AREN'T ALL. I'm not going to argue about it because honestly no one seems to give a shit except you. I don't care how long you've been a fan, if you ARE a fan then you would support whatever they do and not bitch about. Just saying.
knreal...why is it when a band's backing vox are spot on someone always has to raise the "pre-recorded" flag? 7D is simply a well rehearsed band. And their vox are NOT pre-recorded. It's hard to see Morgan sometimes but watch Clint or John & you'll see that whenever they pull off their mic's their vocals are gone from the mix. And no soundman is that quick to pull faders! End of story...
Take it EZ. He's great and very stylistic and entertaining, but he's not even the best drummer in Atlanta as long as Brann Dailor is still alive. And I would bet a year's pay that Morgan himself would agree. Not to mention guys with names like Lombardo, Portnoy, Mangini, Carey, Hoglan, Larkin, Bordin, Adler, Bostaph and Benante.
Sevendust rocks! I've seen 'em live like 8 times and that's still not enough for me! Always bring it live!
I just saw them last week in Harrisburg and the encored with this song..it was amazing
Their stage presence is second to none
There is no known cure for my addiction to Sevendust lol
Frickin A right!!
Sevendust has indeed arrived!!!!
What? How have you not been to a show? You can't ever know who your favorite is until you see some live shows. It's a different world. Bass player strums like a maniac, Morgan all show , still awesome
SEVNDST---"FACE TO FACE" DENVER COLORADO USA
Morgan motherfuckin ROSE!!!! holy shit he never fails to impress me! His vocals are perfect for the agression in this song and blend so well with lajon, not to mention his impeccable drumming.
That drummer is fucking blowing my mind!
i wont argue that. theyre both good live
Thanks man! As long as they keep coming to the west coast, I'll keep going!! Morgan is very amazing. They all are. I love them with every fiber of my being. They are great people.
morgans vocals are soo awesome
You Guy's are awesome
i know i just went an educated myself on it, never been to a rock concert. Almost went to a Disturbed (my favorite band) concert, but my friend told me about it the day after the concert...... so...... yeah. lol

I'll agree to that. Taproot can tear a mother fucker up!!!! But so can Sevendust without a doubt and more so than any band I can think of.
@xxtribaleuphorixx Yes, they are super humans. They're Sevendust.
em. WTF just happened? :O that was 100% sick!
looks like a fun show
I freaked out when I saw Morgan do that trick at 3:50....God damn he has style
Yea I wish morgan actually sung live too u would be amazed how many ppl think he does but he sounds too perfect oh well he is still my favorite drummer and its probably hard doing the screams and drum as crazy as he does so I understand y he doesnt.
I really wish Morgan would actually sing live....if ya don't think his vocals are pre-recorded.....well....I wish I could live in that world too.
Morgan Rose is a fucking god...
I saw Tool at Lollapalooza I know it wasn't the same but it was STILL amazing!!!
@DrewciferFSA
There is actually a blog somewhere where Morgan stated that his mic is a pretty cheap one that doesn't have good quality. Because it;s the only one that doesn't fall off of his head that he has tried.

@DrewciferFSA he did his volcals here in phx. it looked like he was out of breathe the whole time
LJ !
They deserve a much larger stage.
correct, and I'm 19.
I agree that Morgan is singing... there are tons of bands with drummers that sing live, it is not a very hard thing to mix out. It's beat to death but I think his parts are recorded and he sings over most of them for extra dynamics.
Goddamn, that was such a killer concert!
I thought the moshing wouldve been more HxC But I'm just glad it didn't get dangerous
Ha! Morgan at 4:11 pulling some Zoltan Chaney moves there. 🤘
haha listen @ 5:41 haha weeeee
Looks like the audience is fighting. lol
Wish they'd sing instead of having a backing track
I was ther! lol. I was on the lower level to the right. Behind the mosh pit.
I WAS AT THIS SHOW!
lmfao guy crowdsurfing got swallowed by the mosh pit @5:07
Wow
@xxtribaleuphorixx

woohoo im number 33,000 exactly!!!(:
@SirJohnBonham Where were you for the tour?
@whoohaaXL By the way, EXCELLENT quality holmes.
FUCKING RIGHT!!!!!
Disturbed is your favorite band...(lol) and you've never been to a concert? You must be pretty young.
hmm ok got ya. I guess i could be wrong. Either way, they still killer live!
lemme know when you've professionally recorded 8 albums with a kickass band, then MAYBE you can call him a poser.
@DrewciferFSA

KInda late reply but you obviously dont know how these drummer mics work. Hes doing it all live. Period.

woops morgan forgot to scream at 4:00

I don't blame him for having pre recorded shit. It's hard as hell to scream and play drums at the same time. So get off his nuts about it.
He admitted to it in a GW article like fkn 20 years ago. Saying he too busy playing drums.

7D rules and Morgan is the best drummer not named Peart, in the world!
Take it EZ. He's great and very stylistic and entertaining, but he's not even the best drummer in Atlanta as long as Brann Dailor is still alive. And I would bet a year's pay that Morgan himself would agree.

terrible audio
hey who cares?
@nimpho5 ...ooh. I bet that was awesome!
