Here we don't use the toilet bowl water to clean the rest of the toilet bowl and seat. That bowl is dirty therefore to clean the rest of the I outside bowl and seat is a no no. We use the swab only for inside bowl and spray and wipe with paper towels to clean the rest of the outside.
I started as a cleaner (floater) at a school system back in April. I was taught by two "experienced" cleaners each at a different school to use the soft toilet brush to clean the bowl then put more of the cleaner (Corr 4) to apply it to the rest of the toilet. I got put in a permanent position at another school and asked the top Janitor if that was the right way. It wasn't.
Hello Mr. Jeff, I have a question for you, at 3:44 of the video you have your mop in a bucket of water / cleaning solution ? At the end of my shift I usually rinse and ring out my mop and let hang to dry for the next day. Is there an advantage to your method ?
I let them soak like this from time to time in Nabc disinfectant. Then give them a good rinse. Just keeps mops fresh. Sorry it took me so long to get back to you.
It's like you're my mentor I've been watching a lot of your videos lol. I haven't got any training really. Do you guys clean the bathrooms during school period because I start at 3:00. When I get there the bathrooms are disgusting and I'm pretty sure they don't clean them during the day
Hello Jim Bo sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you. We had no night shift so yes. I closed one set at a time and cleaned the during the day. Teachers really don't care for it. but when you work from 8:00 till 4:00 that's how it goes.
Dang, Mr. Jeff.. How the heck do you get that chrome hardware so shinny!? I scrub and scrub with my mint bowl cleaner (like my head custodian recommends) but, it just eventually turns green like the chemical and leaves a grimy residue as well.
Now Jeff, your process is similar to mine. The only difference is that I clean and deep clean actual dirty bathrooms. Cleaning already clean bathrooms wont help any janitor or custodian watching this video. In order for a anyone to get insight or aquire cleaning knowledge and methods, it should start with bathrooms that need attention. Kids trash bathrooms especially girls bathrooms.
You can do what I do. I work for a contractor that sends in janitors when janitors are out sick or on leave. It’s given me an opportunity to work with a lot of different people. It’s a great way to get experience and once you figure out where you want to work you can apply to your favorite school and you will have a lot of references. The guy I work with keeps me working at the schools closest to me. I found my job on indeed. It’s a great way to learn and figure out the best fit for you.

Good question!
Do you suggest full cleaning bathrooms twice a day or once a day.
Normally we do it once a vist for commercial facilities. It's all up to the client or your own discretion

Most the time it will be posted in a job board. Don't be afraid to start your own business too! 👌
