Truly an underrated channel based on subscriber count ..... sport pilot here. I have a Raven (kitfox clone) I need to build a cowl for and that's how I found you. It came with some abomination that looks like it came off a Fokker D.V11 (F) WW1 Plane lol. I am putting a HKS 700 on it and need to finish the cockpit and FWF ........ love your process. I also have a Rans S-12XL parts rig im rebuilding from parts but it came with a 912ULS Keep it up.
I bet you could and I did consider painting after I riveted but my thoughts are that the rivets would be the first thing to lose their finish so leaving them raw might be a good idea.
Finished watching your video, and was really impressed with the process. And very well shot - I will definitely remember this when I find a need to use it on my airplane - - or some other project! Like it!
Yes it is, the plan it to use this on many of the part forward of the firewall. Overkill for the pedals, but they just seemed unfinished in the raw🤷🏻♂️
Turned out amazing.
Thanks Doc👍

@@cybertuffguy71 thanks man!
Really Cool!
Thanks!
Looks awesome. As always your own twist on things.
Those look great! Nicely done.
Thanks!
Very cool finish. How did you cut the wing walk material so precisely?
I first made a paper template, then Traced the temples 4 times on the back of the grip tape.. Then just a good ole pair of scissors…
Always entertaining!
Those came out great! Usual high quality.
Thanks!
Awesome work! Love the color.
Thanks
Those look awesome!
Thanks man!
Looks good with contrasting rivets but wondering if you could have done a bunch of rivets before you used them so they would match?

@@Project2Aero I do like the contrast and leaving wear surfaces bare is a good idea
Love it man! Always fun to see more guys using Cerakote! Those look amazing!
Thanks man!

Thanks! I’v got a long laundry list of parts in line to get this coating now that I’ve done it on these👍
Those look fantastic! Very nice work. And nice job on the grip tape too. Did you lay it out in a CAD package?
Thanks! Just a paper template and some scissors👍
What thickness is the aluminum you use, thanks
looks really great Josh. I take it ceracoat is a ceramic coating?
