Chinese locals make up the majority of the kids at a bilingual school. Bilingual education is far less closely aligned with a single curriculum. To meet their academic goals, some bilingual schools will use a variety of curricula or significantly modify some curricula. Bilingual schools typically employ distinct teaching pedagogies than do international schools. Classes in bilingual schools are usually larger, with 40 pupils or more, and all subjects are taught equally in Mandarin and English.
