Fun fact in the original version of this movie Both mother and Son dies and the girl never comes out of hypnotism... The ending was too dark that Ajay and the team realised and think Audience likes happy ending so they have provided alternative ending... Still the door for the sequel is open

Ajay Devgan could only play the Madhavan voice in the climax after he cuts his tongue because if he plays it earlier Madhavan can again tell all the girls not to believe the voice note.
They meant l, why didn't he play when the girls were actually running towards him and played only after everyone piled upon him
@@VickyVk1 they showed the scene in slow motion, but in reality it was very fast like as soon as he cut Madhavan's tongue, the girls rushed towards Ajay Devgan
Ajay Devgn's character had time to just trim the audio quickly because R. Madhavan went on foot, collecting everyone and Ajay used a cycle and a scooter, although there were hurdles in the middle but then R. Madhavan was also taking his sweet time in getting ready and getting the fire ready.
Jabu wants realistic ending let make them watch Vash the original one😂
Vash is actually way more heartbreaking and terrifying. Shaitaan feels like a sanitized version of that with happy ending.

*Alternate Ending:* Kabir (Ajay D) actually gives Vanraj (R Madhvan) the Banana, which he eats without hesitation. After he gives his speech, Kabir casually tells him to finish his food (the rat and tea leaves). Vanraj doesn't listen, but then Kabir orders him to do so. To his own surprise, Vanraj proceeds to do exactly as he is told. His heart sinks as he realizes what Kabir has fed him. *Kabir:* "You're sad? You can cry if you want to. Cry. Louder. LOUDER!!!" (The screen cuts to black with Vanraj crying in the background and then the credits roll).

But that won’t explain how Kabir got to know the secret behind the magic and master it which Vanraj spent almost his whole life learning. Of course, that would be the story of 2nd part but still, it would be like giving Kabir too much power.
This won't be used because it will portray "you are using bad method doesn't matter if the cause is bad or good" and using any kind of Methods/Pooja with intention of causing something bad for others/to others will result in bad thing for oneself also with 3x bad
I had an alternative ending in my mind too
So when he cuts vanraj's tongue and all the girls start running towards ajay devgan,they basically kill him and eat him (as ordered by vanraj) and after that they become something we know as 'zombie' you know what will happen next if you know what a zombie is
The frustration was due to the entire reason behind inaction by parents showcased was only the SHOCK Factor which after a certain point felt overstretched
True, so many wasted opportunities that were so obvious, even if they have taken slight risk their situation would be better. After so many such instances, suspension of disbelief does not work.

@@divyaa4459 In my opinion, any movie or series should balance the length of any particular segment; focusing on one part will soon create aesthetic fatigue and make it monotonous. Whether it is an extremely long span of 'torture', action or anything else. Unless you have the skills to ideally hook the audience, keep these parts moderate in length or mix them with other events to give people a roller coaster ride.
On a similar note, if you do not have the skills to do good CGI and VFX, avoid that; instead, have fewer less noticeable CG. That will be much better.
The Girl actress is a Gujarati actress and she played same role in original Gujarati movie "Vash"
So in Hindi Remake she was casted for same role due to her exceptional acting skills
“Vash” is original movie in Gujarati language, much more dark with negative ending…
even though he ripped off his jaw at the very first place but, his daughter is already being hypnotized by him. so if he breaks his jaw o r cut his tongue, his daughter would never be normal again.
But that would be the next issue, they needed to first get rid of him, then they can find a doctor or go to another black magic guy
The climax is the part where vash outshines shaitaan in all aspects. It doesn't have anything like him editing the audio or so. I was in utter shock for 15 minutes after I finished that movie. And its ending also justifies what the father did to the villain cause he literally gets left with nothing but darkness ,sorrow, pain and anger, not like a parent monologue like this movie did.
I like Ajay Devgan's movies in which he has played the role of father. 1. Tarzan The Wonder Car 2. Drishyam 1/2 3. Shivaay And this one too 😎😍

Regarding door discussion, I’m glad they did not break the door open, cos it was a door opening from inwards, which is 10x difficult break from inside than outside. It will require pull force and not push force. And their daughter used tool to crack the weaker part of door to unlock the door later. I’m glad that they went technically right. Love Achara and Jaby ❤
I always love it when movies make sense, and all these small details i just love it
Well, considering the room they were was a store room and they had a box behind them literally labelled OLD TOOLS, it is kind of silly that they did not use something to try to open the door, while the daughter bizarrely found a hammer in a random drawer.
You need to realise that his goal is not to hurt somebody or anything like that , he's just there to take their daughter for himself.
And also about the part where achara says to shut vanraj , it's not gonna do anything as she would be forever in his control
Guys, Ajay Devgn has also starred in a horror film called 'Bhoot' (Ghost). It's scary af, was successful and won awards (unusual for an Indian horror film).
That movie belongs to Urmila Matondkar. What a fantastic actress!

That was my sole problem with this, the parents didn't even try to help her daughter in the initial phase, when Vanraj entered their house, they should have send him away then & there, & by the time they tried doing something, it was already too late.. 😑
I think they can't do anything to him or break his jaw or anything in the initial phase because daughter will be locked in that state forever with the last command he ordered..that rule is established by the movie itself.. They need to wait until they can record the commands and mix it to even try to do anything to him
Bro, pls try to imagine when something like that happens in anyone's life, it takes time to understand what is happening let alone doing something. And this was not normal incident happening with them, it was black magic. It took time to gather the situation and act.

Just after watching the movie, I found that it is a remake of the Gujrati movie Vash, it has the same actress who's playing the role of Jahnvi.
You can't just throw the red doll. This is not a mindless activity. The whole idea is to generate enough energy for 108 girls to give in and fight their own will.
For watching more of R Madhvan please watch his movie 13B it's amazing, it's also of same genre.❤️

I watched the gujrati version of this movie in the theatres which was the original one and it was brutal lol they changed the ending for bollywood
This is actually a remake of a very famous Gujarati movie..here the ending has been changed. The Real movie Vash which means Hypnotism is actually quite dark with a creepy ending.

The reason parents hold back their reaction to the situation was because although we think as humans, we would do certain things or react a certain way to a tough stitution often times we do not! rather in the moment we get calculative about the outcomes and try to navigate through the list of options that would do the least harm. And i think that is what led the mother and the father to only react when either the emotion raise up like when the mother tried to strangle or when dad waited to the very last moment when he felt he had a way to save his daughter and also get her out of the hypnosis. And that is what the villan of the movie was trying to manipulate off the parents as well, the calculative nature. I personally appriciated the choice of the actions being suttle and the more of a realistic approach of the parents reaction to the situation which is off beat from what most of the movies potray. I would have appricate if this choice was more apparent to the audiance and not something that was left to us to wonder.
I fully agree with Jaby and Achara's review, i felt there were very frustrating moments in the movie that broke my immersion.
Finally, I was waiting!
