Every supporter of every team in the league can point to games they could have won so your assertion that Derby should be higher mirrors the commonality we all feel about our own teams. We have to accept the reality not the would have/could have been. As I'm a Leeds fan I hope for a win, but Derby at home could win and I've been a Leeds fan long enough to know nothing is a nailed on certainty in this game

Nigel Clough's side had a really good record vs Leeds compared to other Derby managers. Last away game was a defeat but in parts, we defended really well against a top side. Didn't create much threat but a draw would not have been unreasonable. I think we will aim for much of the same tomorrow.

You cannot spell Derby correctly so I would not worry about any bus. Think about the 2019 play offs if you go back that far, you were expected to stuff us that night but Lampard out thought cheating Bielsa.

Recently most teams have realised our weak spot is mainly our RB position. Since Nyambe was injured about 60% of the goals we have conceded seem to have come from crosses or free kicks from that side. Wilson is great going forward but is our main weak spot as a defender, easily beaten in the air on several occasions recently. Wilson would be better playing as a right sided winger in the front three ahead of Jackson not as a RWB. Going to be possibly the largest crowd and atmosphere of the season, agree a free hit is a given but after our away game at Elland Road revenge should be a given. After spy gate and the history well before your time Lewis at least a draw is needed. We have still got to play at 5 of the bottom 7 away from home so cannot rest on our laurels. Oxford are the only one we have played away, Plymouth look doomed unless ironically Rooney gets the boot, Cardiff, Hull, and Portsmouth away will be 6 pointers no doubt. Looking forward to it anyway.
@@topcat4759 certainly agree with you on the nyambe and Wilson discussion. Wilson is brilliant going forward but can be costly on the defensive end. He’s much better than he was 12-18 months ago when we signed him but he still has a lot of developing to do. I would play him on that right wing too, think he’d be much more effective for us in the long run. Agree with you on the need for at least a draw, wouldn’t surprise me at all if we win this one. I think we have enough to do it if we turn up. Going to be a very interesting second half of the season! If we stick to our first half form we end on 54 points which for me is plenty. Gives us room to improve next year!

i'm thinking some inner turmoil in Leeds with the club actually condemning their own fans - may blow over into this game - sport is fickle and can be unbalanced by external factors. if we play to actually win - instead of just defending (which is a matter of time before you concede) we just might get a positive result or draw. yes, longshot against a very very good side obviously - we are massive underdogs but - this is sport - result unknown.
There is a blueprint for beating Leeds, and going all out is not it. I’m not saying anything, but if we had your keeper, we’d be home and hosed by now.

I do agree mind, Zetters is a great keeper. Done excellent for us and wouldn’t be shocked to see some big offers come in for him in the summer!
