    For an extra challenge try doing this trick on different fingers 😉 I used the middle finger as an example since I found it to be the easiest to learn with when I was learning the trick
    and please, ALWAYS PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT HANDLE YOU ARE ON. A quick two second check can save you from a nasty cut and days of healing.

    Your videos have helped me learn all the tricks that no other person could teach me. You are easy to understand, you slow the move down, and you instruct in a way that everyone can understand. "I imagine myself mixing thick cake batter". That's something that some can relate to, and it's something that people can visualize. Thank you for helping the flipping community. I love all the vids!

      Haha! Hope you got it dude. Also I have a question: I've been training with a heavy trainer for a few months, and can do beginner to intermediate tricks. What would you reccomend as a good, mid-priced ($100-$150) balisong? I've been looking at Bear OPS and others, but I don't know where to go.

    • @50bladesofgrey43
      @50bladesofgrey43  7 років тому +1

      David Catanzaro thank you! For that price point it is currently difficult to say what is best. Bear ops is something to consider. However, the quality is often said to be hit or miss. The balance and weight are fine aside from that

    • @davidcatanzaro8838
      @davidcatanzaro8838 7 років тому +1

      +50 Blades of Grey Yeah I was looking at Bear OPS, but the blade coatings are horrible. I decided to save up for either a BRS Barebones, Benchmade 51, or a Brous B3 Stonewash. Any recommendations regarding those?
      Thanks man

    Is there a quality, reasonably priced Balisong you would recommend for a beginner flipper? Thanks!
    Love your videos btw.

    • @50bladesofgrey43
      @50bladesofgrey43  7 років тому

      xCr0nus thank you! My response depends mainly on budget and goals. My first balisong was a $30 bear and son 114. It wasn't very durable or pretty but the balance was okay and it allowed me to learn a lot of tricks early on. At the farther end of the spectrum you have something like the BRS g-10 replicant which I think is a great deal (performance, looks, etc.) at $265. But I didn't make that purchase until about 6 months into flipping.

      @50bladesofgrey43  6 років тому

      Emerald Balisong kid, Trains, Animations and More! Nice! But yeah the middle finger is just a suggestion since it's the longest, it can be done on any finger including the thumb! Whatever works for you 👍🏻

    I can't do more that 1 rotation, i'm stuck there. Any tips?

    • @50bladesofgrey43
      @50bladesofgrey43  6 років тому

      dominozaur98 hello, it depends, if you go too fast and make the circles too small the knife will fly off your finger
      If you haven't already gotten the trick down I would recommend really trying exaggerate the circle you make with your finger

      50 Blades of Grey love your videos bro. You are a great flipper. By chance have you got your hands on the Bm 87 alpha beast. Would like your thoughts??

    • @50bladesofgrey43
      @50bladesofgrey43  6 років тому

      Alex Garcia thank you! But I have not been able to try to 87. I want to but it's a lot of money for 1 knife. Would be $80 more than the most expensive one I've ever bought.

    So where do I start learning balisong tricks? And are they legal in massachusettes/florida?

    • @50bladesofgrey43
      @50bladesofgrey43  7 років тому

      NinjaDefuser610 I'm not sure about the legality of those states, a quick google search usually will tell you though.
      As far as beginner tricks go I have a video that shows some ones to consider learning. I don't explain the tricks in depth but they are slowed down so you can see what's happening a bit easier.

    • @netcodeerror9420
      @netcodeerror9420 7 років тому

      Thanks for the reply! In terms of the legality I did google it and couldn't find something referring to balisong or butterfly. Instead given were names for different categories such as switch blades (does that mean balisong?) In terms of starting out I can tell you have some of the best videos for beginners so no worry there however I am unsure between getting a practice knife (if any have good quality) or just getting a normal knife and being careful.

    i have a question..
    when i use my butterfly knife why does it have amazing grip on some tricks but some other tricks my knife is just really slippery is it just the kind of knife i have or what?

    • @50bladesofgrey43
      @50bladesofgrey43  7 років тому

      Kui Galaxy could be, some materials are inherently less gripping than other, finish can effect it as well. Balance also can effect the grip
