He has done a load of charity work over the years and while his views on young people and the way they should behave were old fashioned even in the 1980s, his heart has always been in the right place. I think he could never really be a convincing movie bad guy as he was seen as a soft hearted tough guy after his time on the ATeam. And somehow he couldn't really convince as a hero either, so a big movie career eluded him. Still he was great in that Rocky movie and he hasn't done badly since.

That's a good question that Sylvester Stallone would have to answer because inquiring minds want to know. I heard that the Rocky franchise were pitching the boxer Deontay Wilder as the son of Clubber Lang for an upcoming fight against Creed jr. So, just maybe Mr. T will reprise his role as Clubber Lang similarly to Ivan Drago!😉

I was lucky enough to meet Mr. T as a kid back during his A Team days. It was at a meet and autograph session and when he came out (to a line of kids and their parents) he shook my hand and then held on to it for about twenty seconds while talking. It's funny, but I remember that he had warm and soft hands, and he had a gentle manner about him that felt like an old friend. He was telling the kids to be good, listen to their parents and do what they say, etc, and he just seemed like a genuinely good guy. As far as celebs to meet go, I could have done much, much worse. I still have a soft spot for the fool pityer to this day.

Mr T I just watched your dramas in 2015 but still I liked them. I could tell they were old but something about your character makes them likeable for all generations. Thanks for living an inspiring life.
I enjoyed "Diff'rent Strokes" when I was a kid, and Mr. T's appearance on the show capped it all off as my favorite episode. Even so, my favorite TV appearance of Mr. T was him as he was being roasted by such renowned celebrities as Rich Little and Ricky Schroeder. (As some of you might remember, Mr. T also appeared on one episode of "Silver Spoons" as Ricky's bodyguard.) "real talk" is right on the money when he says he "pities the fools who don't admire Mr. T."
I have been lucky enough to meet him in person. I got him to take a picture sitting on my Harley. He is one of the most genuine, caring and giving people on the planet. A true real life hero to many.
I wish we could go back to the 80s. Mr.T, Arnie, Stallone, Willis, Van Damme, Lundgren... It was a time when men were men and celebrated for being so. What have we done to ourselves...
I met him, well more like bumped into his cart at a mall. My first thought, "Ahhh $hit, I F-ed up now".. he was very nice and surprisingly soft spoken. I didn't know what to say so I said the first thing that came to mind. "so is there gunna be a rematch wit that baulboa fool?" he laughed and said, nope, have a bigger gig lined up...
I met MR.T just outside Philly when I was a small kid in my moms station wagon with my sister. We had knocked the shifter into neutral and the car started rolling back toward traffic. MR.T and a couple other people stopped the car and pushed it back to safety. No he didn't say I pitty the fool but he did holler at us and my mom for leaving us in the car alone.
I met Mr. T in NYC in 2005 at Carnegie Deli. I didn't get a picture because smart phones werent a thing yet. But he is such a nice man. He's an absolute icon.
As a young kid during the 80's I always the A team and I can't forget his line. Looking for me? I am happy that he survived cancer and he is doing well.
I once witnessed Mr T in action, back in his body guard days. He was UNBELIEVABLE. He was a body guard for Leon Spinks in Chicago, just after Spinks had beaten Ali. Spinks was the champ and was in Chicago to fight an exhibition against a super tough Italian fighter named George Mostardini. In the old Chicago Amphitheater, it was one of the most surreal experiences of my life. A super electric atmosphere with most of Chicago's "Northside Italians" packing the house and raising absolute hell in favor of "their guy". The Amphitheater, or "Amp" as we used to call it, roared like the 1st century Roman Colosseum - I was scared shitless! Enter Mr. T, defending the current world champion and (most importantly) the 2 Championship belts that temporarily belonged to Spinks. The crowd wanted to beat Spinks themselves, let alone fight their guy. They threw beer bottles, chairs, you name it. Mr. T got Spinks into the ring in one piece and unharmed, an incredible feat in itself. The fight had to be stopped after a round or so because of the out and out hostility of that crowd. (If Mostardini had knocked out Spinks, he would not have been champion because it was only an exhibition, not an official prizefight) Nevertheless, when it came time to leave the ring, it seemed impossible that Mr. T and the small group of Spinks' entourage could get out of there - it was like a hundred against 10 people or so, talk about being in a "Lion's den". Mr. T, heroically and ferociously fought one guy after another, some time more than one at a time, and invited a few more who were taunting from afar, it took about 10-15 minutes and he got Spinks and co. out of there and I don't believe a one of them got hurt! Words truly can't describe the herculean feat that this truly was. I can't prove it, but I know in my heart that: 1) This incident was used in the Rocky III film that Syvester Stalone wrote, and 2) Mr. T got that part in the film because of that incident and his authentic ferociousness, which was undeniable. There's no way you could fake what I witnessed that night in the Chicago Amphitheater. Mr T is a GENUINE BADASS!!! He earned that "B.A." title - Believe it!
I met Mr. T at a kid's meet & greet at a recently opened Toys R Us when I was six or seven (40 years ago!) This was when he was at the height of his A-Team fame, and when he came out in full chains, feather earrings and flexing his biceps, I thought he was going to get into character. Instead, he was smiling, he was giving words of encouragement, and shaking hands with every kid there. He took my hand for a moment and said to be good, to be mindful of parents. I really like the guy as he wanted to make a positive difference then too. My mom, aka my ride, was also impressed with him, and she isn't impressed easily. I hope Mr. T will be out there for many years to come, as there are still many fools to be pitied.
I went to Dunbar high school in Chicago with Mr. T during the late 1960s. He was on the high school wrestling and football team. He live in the public housing buildings the Robert Taylor Homes on a dangerous south side part of Chicago. He was not a bully. He was a very nice honorable student at Dunbar Vocational High School in Chicago.
I seen Mr. T in Chicago Airport during his fame. I was told he was a "small man" but he looked huge to me. His two body guards were even bigger but he walked and smiled at those of us who said hi or applauded. He struck me as an appreciated man from the fame, not arrogant or "stuck up Hollywood type."
His cancer was what woke him up like he said during interviews I became a born again Christian and has since devoted more of his time to his family and charity work. He is actually a really nice guy
He's still about doing stuff, ads, had a series on UK tv a few years ago. He's pretty religious now too. I hear he is a really nice guy from those who have met him, asked for autographs: always has time for people.
he would hire and feed so many of us street kids in toronto when on the set of t and t ....always telling us positive things take vitamins respect yer mom and go back to school ...of of the few people who impacted my life growing up....one hell of a man going to haven 100%
Time less indeed. Mr. T used to be my hero in "The A-Team" back in the 80's, now his my 8yr old son's favorite character in Nintendo's lego dimensions. His a true legend! 🙌🏼

I wish Mr. T still was a huge star.
It would be great to see Mr T back in the media limelight. He is so charismatic. And a genuinely nice guy!
Gotta love Mr. T.
The Truth is he's Mr. T. No need to explain. He was a hero of my childhood and still is a hero today.
I can't believe he was in the military when he was kicked out of the University
I love Mr T as much as any 80's kid but We can hardly call him a wrestler.
hatednyc lol we also can call Hulk Hogan hardly a Movieactor :D
I met Mr. T in NYC in 2005 at Carnegie Deli. I didn't get a picture because smart phones werent a thing yet. But he is such a nice man. He's an absolute icon.
A Legend!!
As a young kid during the 80's I always the A team and I can't forget his line. Looking for me? I am happy that he survived cancer and he is doing well.
How ironic that it was T-cell cancer
Personalised Cancer Fool
Wyatt Barrett dude that was my thought exactly haha
Wyatt Barrett Yet folks are still atheist.
Religion has nothing to do with anything. No evidence god exist. Stop putting people down just for not conforming to your fairy tails.
Mr. T cell lymphoma
Mr. T's daughter is a stand up comedian: Her name is Erica Nicole Clarke- very funny
I don't like Mr.T - Said No one ever
I pity the foo' that don't like no Mr. T
Wish he would do a cameo in the new Star trek/ Star Wars Movie. always loved his character and courage!!!
I don't think you red my post all the way, that whole Said no one ever part.
Venom NBK sorry
My post reads Mr. T.
Mr. T has yet to take on the greatest fight of his life - conjugating verbs.
Awesome as always
He is so fucking cool :P
I seen Mr. T in Chicago Airport during his fame. I was told he was a "small man" but he looked huge to me. His two body guards were even bigger but he walked and smiled at those of us who said hi or applauded. He struck me as an appreciated man from the fame, not arrogant or "stuck up Hollywood type."
Mr. T is one of a kind.
His cancer was what woke him up like he said during interviews I became a born again Christian and has since devoted more of his time to his family and charity work. He is actually a really nice guy
Mr T is the man and Rocky 3 was easily the best. "I ain't getting on no plane fool!!"
I've LOVED Mr. T ever since I was 9-16 years old --- We are VERY happy that he has beaten cancer! What a TRUE Hero!
He could only grt roles in local productions because he was scared of getting on planes :L
World's Craziest Fools was actually pretty good, I wish it hadn't ended.
If Mr T is not in The expendables 4, I'm not going to watch it.
Mr T and Liam Neeson for "Expendables 4", I say.
He's still about doing stuff, ads, had a series on UK tv a few years ago. He's pretty religious now too. I hear he is a really nice guy from those who have met him, asked for autographs: always has time for people.
I had no idea that he battled cancer and was in Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs! :0 You have got to be kidding me!
